Violette POV I didn’t think to look back as I quickly made my way to my chambers. I took a deep breath, inhaling my scent mixed with Masters. It’s true, I indeed smell just like him. I opened the door and poked my head in, spotting Lillian sitting on the bed chewing at her fingernails, and Sylvia curled up under the blanket fast asleep. “Goddess, there you are! We’ve worried about you all day.. you never came back, we assumed.. well, we were afraid he killed you.” She whispered in a frantic tone. “I’m fine.. Lillian. I got a punishment.. and it was too much on my body and I passed out. But I’m fine, do not worry.” I said. She quickly shuffled over to me, peeking at my gown trying to get a look of the damage. It hurt like hell, indeed. But I’d enjoyed every second of the pain. “Goddess, you smell like him.” She gasped. “I need a bath, Lillian.” I said softly. She nodded her head and slowly opened the door to fetch hot water. I quickly undressed, my body is so sore.. my.. virtu
Violette POV “Good morning, miss Violette. It’s time to wake.” Ms. Beatrice spoke as she opened the curtains, allowing the bright light from outside to shine in. “What time is it?” I asked. I let out a yawn as I stretched my arms and legs.. one of those really good stretches. The kind that make your eyes roll to the back of your head in pleasure. “Past noon.. the King asked for me to let you sleep in.” She replied. I sat up quickly, Sylvia and Lillian were gone. “Where are they?” I asked as I furrowed my brows. “They’ve been up since morning. Sylvia was glad to see you were back, but they both have tasks to do.” She said. I looked at her oddly. Curious as to why Sylvia is working. “Why is Sylvia working?” I asked. “The king.. he gave her permission to stay if she’d like. Of course, she agreed, but she still wants to visit the orphanage when she can.” She said. A smile came to my face at the news. “But I do have bad news.” She said. My heart began to race as well as my mind. Wh
Violette POV“I know it’s your birthday, Lillian.. but unfortunately the King requested me to work in his chambers today.” I said with a frown on face. I felt awful that I didn’t have money to get her a gift, but more so that I couldn’t spend time with her. Though, I do have a pearl necklace that I arrived with. And I plan to give it to her tonight when I finish in the Kings chambers.“That’s okay! Beatrice already informed me.” She said with a smile. “You won’t be working with us, today?” Sylvia asked. She had a sad look on her face as she picked at her food. “No, Sylvia. I won’t be. I have to be with the King today. I am his slave after all.. he has needs that I need to tend to.” I said. She scoffed, making me give her a stern look. “You can’t do that. This is his kingdom, and you will be punished for acting like that.” I said. She sucked in a deep breath and frowned even more. “We were afraid for your life yesterday. And when I finally get to talk to you or spend any time with
Violette POV “What is your name.. mate?” The man asked Lillian. I looked between the two of them, seeing her face was as pale as snow. “L-Lillian..” Lillian replied. “Lillian..” the man replied in a slow voice, as is savoring the way it felt coming out of his mouth. The king's door opened and out he stepped. “What’s going on?” He asked. He looked around and a smile came to his face. It made my heart flutter like never before.. I’d never seen him smile. “Cedric, my friend. You’re back.” Viktor said. The man pulled his eyes away from Lillian, then looked back at Master. “Ahh, there he is.” The man named Cedric said. He walked over to Viktor with wide arms, wrapping them around Viktor and slapping his back. “Goddess, it’s been a minute,” Viktor said. He had joy in his eyes, for some reason.. it made me feel really good on the inside. “My king..” Loren began. He held the tray of ruined food in his hand. “Tell me what happened,” Viktor said as he pulled away from the man now know
Viktor POV “Goddess, I know it’s only been a couple of months but man, I’ve missed this place,” Cedric said with a sigh. I took my seat at my desk and chuckled. “We’ve missed you here, Cedric,” I said. “So tell me. That other girl is the princess? As in, Princess Violette Dubois of the werewolves?” He asked. I nodded my head. “Yes, my slave princess,” I said. He let out a chuckle. “I bet you’ve had fun with that one.” He said. I didn’t respond for a moment. “She’s been.. a lot. That’s for sure.” I said truthfully. He cocked an eyebrow at me and pulled a chair to the front of my desk. “I see she’s dressed nicely.. and not in servants' rags.” He said. I let out a sigh. “She’s the king's Slave.. I’d much rather her look.. decent.” I said. “Decent, huh? She looks like a princess.” He said. He was right, she does. I almost couldn’t take my eyes off of her, and for some reason.. I felt anger when I thought he was referring to her as his mate.Much to my dismay.. I was relieved when
Violette POV I tried my best not to listen in on their conversations, but it was hard not to.. especially with my werewolf hearing. I found myself wiping the same spot over and over, on Masters desk.. as I heard them talk about the many things Cedric had learned while he was away. “I’m surprised you’ve kept her this long. Especially with her.. family’s history.” Cedric said. “She’s not that bad,” Master said. “Not that bad” ouch. I’m nothing like my family. Well, I take that back. I’m quite a lot like my mother was. She was kind, loving, and gentle.. she didn’t deserve what happened to her. And I forever blame my Father for her death. But.. I also blame myself. Because it wouldn’t have happened if it wasn’t for me. “If she’s not that bad, why not release her?” Cedric asked. I heard a slam on the table and I jumped slightly. “No,” Master said. He was angry, that much I could tell. “Sorry, man. I didn’t mean to..” Cedric began but Master cut him off. “Don’t worry about it.” He si
Violette POV After I finished cleaning Masters chambers, he gave me permission to choose a book to read for a little while, while he was out in a meeting. He did not give me permission to leave, but instead.. to sit at his desk and read. He said he wouldn’t be long, but it’s been an hour or so and my stomach is growling. I looked at the door, my brain unable to focus on the book much longer. I wonder how much longer he will be. My eyes shifted to the gray door a few feet to my side. I’m so curious. But there’s a saying.. curiosity killed the cat, and I’d much rather not die. I like my life.. as worthless as I may be. Maybe one day he will trust me enough to show me what lies behind the gray door. Or maybe I’ll be left to wonder for the remainder of my life. Who knows? I’d rather not find out what punishment I’d get for looking inside. I heard talking outside of Masters chambers. I couldn’t pinpoint exactly who it was, because the thick door muffles the voices slightly. After a mo
Viktor POV I was fuming with rage as I opened a mind link with Loren. “Bring me Minerva,” I said. I was trying my best not to growl.. trying my best not to rip the desk to shreds. How could Minerva act this way? She’s never been like this. Never. It was beginning to annoy me. Not only has she gone against my wishes and got near Violette.. but she continues to speak down to her and try to turn her against me. “Yes, my King.” He responded. She is upset.. angry even.. and I didn’t understand exactly why. Was it because of what I did with Minerva? It’s not like she didn’t know. Or was it because I took her virginity on the same desk? Did that disgust her? I paced around my room.. I didn’t know what I was going to say or do with Minerva.. but she would not get away with this. Violette and I were on decent terms.. and now that was ruined. She looked fuming when she left. Hurt even. Goddess, why do I even care? She was right.. she is my slave and it’s none of her business.. I should
