Dohana laid on her bed face first, tears strolled down her cheeks. Jake had openly rejected her. Her prince charming had rejected her infront of his parents. Dohana was completely devastated. She asked herself so many questions.
'Where did it all go wrong? I thought Jake and I were getting along fine, so how did he suddenly hate me? Wasn't he supposed to love me forever? He took my virginity, shouldn't he be forced to marry me then? What should I do?'
There was a faint knock on the door, which Dohana completely ignored as she continued to sob. However, she heard light footsteps walking in- it was Daisy and Mariot. They stood by the door without saying a word. They understood Dohana had a bad night.
"Dohana, what are talking about? It was just one night," said Jake gesturing a single finger to his face. "Just one night? Jake, you took my virginity." "Alright, alright, alright!" Said a frustrated Samson, "you two sign here first. Then you can get to know each other better. Afterall, you'll be husband and wife." Samson's words was like a nail in their heads, the couple couldn't even get along. They stared at each other in frustration until Dohana snatched a pen on the table and signed the papers. "There," she said angrily. Jake took a long sigh and signed the papers. After he dropped the pen, he headed out. "Wait!" Samson said as he pulled the paperwork close to exa
The partying went on all night. It had started really early for Jake and his friends. By now, Jake was drunk and all his friends had managed to get to the club. Disco lights flickered through out the empty dance floor. "You know what fellas," Jake said with a drunken voice, "when I met that Dohana chick, I thought she was the one. But it turns out, she's just another one of them LA hotties. Same god damn hairstyle, same dresses, same behaviour. I'm tired of this shit." "I don't know buddy," Luke said, "perhaps, you're wrong this time. To me, it sounds like everything was going great up until your folks showed up." "Going great? Going great my foot! It was a horrible date. We barely knew what to say to each other. She was a nervous wreck, I was as bored as hell, how-"
"Jake, how dare you?" Mariot stepped up as she embraced Dohana. "How could you hurt her like this?" "Yeah, Jake what's going on? So you intentionally brought our friend here to humiliate her, didn't you?" Daisy said as she scowled at Jake. Jake stood up from his seat and casually pulled Christy along as they sauntered towards the three ladies. "This is my new girlfriend, do you have a problem?" Jake said acknowledging his lady friend with a smile. He turned around to look at Dohana and said, "I hope now you can see that I don't need you, Dohana." Dohana mastered enough courage to glare at Jake before she turned to leave. "So, this is how rich spoilt men behave?" Said Daisy giving Jake a disgusting look. "You will regret
"Wooo!" The guys felt the threat. Then Dohana walked over to their VIP table and took a glass full of wine and came back to face Jake. "So, Jake, since you've chosen to dance. I hope you ready to play," she said as she poured the glass of wine all over Jake's head while she smirked. "What?" "How dare she?" The excitement on Mariot and Daisy's heart was overwhelming. They had never witnessed their friend acting so daring and brave. This was Jake Larson. Jake's friends were stunned to the core, they watched on with awe. No girl had ever dared to stand up to Jake. Not even to them. Jake was a billionaire afterall. Doesn't this Dohana chick know who she's messing with?
A handsome man hurriedly entered the Blue Sky Marketing building. He was wearing only the most expensive branded suit, Gucci and Cubana t-shirt and custom made black professional shoes. The man kept glancing at his watch, he was late. 'Damnit, I was supposed to be at work an hour earlier so I could go through the notes and be able to prepare for the presentation. Now my head is buzzing from this damn hang-over.' Rushing into his office, the man switched on his laptop and was stunned. He made a quick call and shouted the moment his PA answered the phone. "Secretary, where's the file I requested my assistant manager to compile?" Jake said. "Sir," his PA answered, "I tried to call you last night and even sent you an SMS. The assistant manager has resigned."
Jake was perplexed, he remembered the scene where he told Dohana that he didn't believe in that song anymore. He remembered how intimate that moment was with her. How they held hands and danced to slow love tunes while looking deep into each other's eyes. Pulling his office chair over, Jake slumped on it. He was suddenly conflicted, he never made promises he didn't intend on keeping. Deep in his heart, he could feel the goosebumps suddenly returning but he quickly suppressed it. "Dohana, how dare you send me these pictures? Who do you think you are? Wait a second, how did she know my workplaces address?" Jake spoke to himself. 'I will never fall for you Dohana, infact I'm not gonna go through this pictures anymore.' Jake thought of instructing his PA to get rid of them, but remembered the paparazzi and their abil
On Friday morning, just a day after Dohana had her interview, Jake was at work. He revised his presentation he had been working on the whole day and night with his team. This time, Jake was not nervous as he was well prepared. "Mr Larson," said Stacy as she entered the office, "I've conducted the interviews for the past two days. I've seen more than twenty top candidates for the role and I've hired the best one of them all. Would you like to meet her right now?" "No, not now. Let's do it after my presentation, alright?" Jake was engrossed with his presentation preparation that even the cup of coffee Stacy had brought him hadn't been touched yet. A few minutes later Jake presented to Lone Hill Corp. The CEO of Lone Hill was excited and approved the AD, lan
A smile emitted from Dohana before she coldly said, "I don't think you have a say regarding that. I got this job on merit, so I'm staying." Jake was seething with resentment as he stared at Dohana. "Dohana, we have history, don't you understand? We can't work together." "Maybe you can't, but I can. By the way, I already told mother-in-law that I got this job yesterday and she said father-in-law was very proud of me. So, don't you even think of firing me." Dohana strode out of the office thereafter, leaving Jake completely dumbstruck. 'Dohana, you think you're smart? You won't get away with this I promise you.' Jake gathered his thoughts. When Jake left that office, she saw Dohana happily chatting with her colleague
The bullet flew through the air. While Aishantha looked on at the gun quivering helplessly, a diving figure leaped across her and fell to the ground. What?Everyone's head was buzzing, did the Queen Mother really pull the trigger?Aishantha subconsciously probed her body for gunshot wounds. And when she found none, she instantly glanced at the figure lying on the floor. Her mind was boggled. It was Jake. Blood was stained all over his suit and his white t-shirt was red."No, Jake!" Princess Dohana cried, dropping to her knees and puzzled, not knowing how to help Jake at all. "Why did you do that, why?"With his eyes closed as if he was dead, Jake didn't respond.Everyone else stood there, stunned."Oh, you want to be a hero, right?" The Queen Mother said, chuckling before raising the gun towards Aishantha again. Prince Dominic quickly stepped over and blocked Aishantha completely."You...you have dissapointed me Dominic. Did you forget the plan so suddenly? You were supposed to marry
Feeling the cold blade on his neck, Prince Dominic was furious. How could he have let his guard down. As the renown Prince of Paris, and having trained on the art of combat since he was a child, how could he accept defeat by an amateur. 'Obviously this kid is no experienced fighter, and to be cheated and be outdone by him is just embarrassing. But I'm a Prince, I can't lose.' "I said, say your last words pal!" Jake yelled. Prince Dominic thought of countermeasures quickly. "Who said I've lost," after he spoke, the Prince used his left hand to squeeze Jake's injured shoulder. The Prince had thought about it. He'd hurt Jake where he previously stabbed him and then use this momentum to turn the tables. After using all his strength to squeeze and jab the injured shoulder, Jake merely glanced at his hand. Seeing Jake's smirk, Prince Dominic was astonished. Why is he not hurting? Seeing his puzzled face, Jake leaned back and used his right hand to reveal the wounded area. What?
Pin drop silence followed as all eyes gathered around the man who had just crashed into the wedding hall. Everyone couldn't help but gasp at the sight and the aura that pervaded him. He wore a stylish black suit, with a red tie; the black shades he had on gave him a mysterious demeaner. With his hands jammed into his side pockets, looking extremely relaxed, he smiled as he glanced at the audience. The Queen Mother was staring at him in total bewilderment. She couldn't figure it out. She had done her utmost best to ensure he would never be able to enter the palace, let alone the wedding venue. How did he pass through the thousands of royal soldiers defending the royal palace?"Jake!"Princess Dohana couldn't believe her eyes. She shuddered at the site of him, staggering back.'Finally, my Prince charming didn't let me down. He came to save me. He is really here. Am I dreaming? That means I don't have to marry Dominic, I don't.'As a thousand thoughts ran through Princess Dohana's mind
The atmosphere became tense in a second. Erick Vohn drew out his sword, showing a sneer as he directed his sword towards the Resistance army."How dare you try to deceive us? Do you know who I am?"Mr Heart returned a mocking smirk, "You're the general of a mutilated army.""Shut up! the general shouted, "soldiers, attack!"The royal soldiers roared and charged together simultaneously."Resistance, buckle up and get ready to defend, walls of steel!" As soon as the words resonated through the air, the Resistance formed a straight wall. One soldier had his knee to the ground, the other stood behind him blocking the abdomen, their shields both blocking the opponent. Behind them, the soldiers pushed them hard to resist. When the oncoming traffic of royal soldiers clashed against the wall, they bounced off and stabilised their feet before rushing back. After several attempts, the soldiers began to wonder what was up about the wall? How could their opponents be so strong. Seeing this scen
As the sun rose in the east, Princess Dohana opened her eyes and she couldn't help sighing with emotions. Today was her wedding day but she was sad. She had always imagined her wedding day would be the happiest day of her life. But instead, it promised to become a dreadful day.Soon Princess Dohana picked herself up and prepared to head over to the bathroom to wash up but to her surprise, a man was sitting on a chair looking at her attentively."Prince Dominic!"The Prince smiled and said, "you look even more beautiful when you're sleeping so peacefully."Feeling intruded, Princess Dohana stepped back instinctively and said, "what are you doing here? Don't you know the groom is not supposed to see the bride on the morning of the wedding?"The smile on the Prince's face was quickly replaced by a lazy sneer. "Oh please, cut the crap. It's not like you really want to get married to me."Princess Dohana looked down as she saw his gloomy face.Seeing her so docile, Prince Dominic stood up
The atmosphere in the hall changed, one could cut the air between the Queen Mother and Princess Dohana with a blunt knife. The silence that reigned, if you dropped a pin, it could be heard clearly. Between the royal family, it was Dorah who recovered first. Her sharp eyes stared down the Princess and she couldn't hide her disgust. "You...Dohana, how could you be this stupid? What marriage are you talking about?" Sirah also added, furrowing her brows, "do you mean you're married officially? Like legally?" The Queen Mother cackled out of nowhere. The voice was so loud that it echoed throughout the hall as everyone looked at each other in dismay. "Child, don't tell me you got drunk and had an accidental wedding." The Queen Mother continued to laugh. "No. Your majesty, it was a sober day when I got married." "Shut up!" Dorah scolded angrily. 'How shameless can this woman be?' "You shut up, okay!" Dohana retorted, pointing her fore-finger across the lot. "I don't need any of your
At the royal palace, the pre-wedding festivities were still thriving at midnight. Earlier that evening, the Queen Mother had even set up a celebration banquet for the wedding. Everyone had been drinking all night and this time, most of them were drunk. The Prince of Paris, Dominic, kept the crowd alive with his humourous stories. The crowd kept bellowing with laughter. "Imagine, without a penny to his name. A nobody still wants to marry the Princess?" A roar of laughter followed. Raising his voice, Prince Dominic continued. "Huh, trying to wrestle the Prince for his bride? That's like a lightweight trying to wrestle a heavyweight. He has his eyes on the throne? We might as well hand over the kingdom to a peasant." More cachination ensued. Suddenly, the door to the Banquet hall banged open and general Bengy Dowson strode in with a panic. The sudden sound attracted everyone in the hall as they turned to stare. Seeing the serious face of the general, the hall went so silent you cou
All the soldiers glared at the man in disbelief. How could they believe that they had travelled all the way to the Andorrian boarder for nothing. If this was possible, it would mean that they had been tricked all the way here and would not be able to return to El-Tarter on time. Crazy..."What nonsense are you talking about?" Said Bengy Dowson, feeling embarrassed and disgruntled about the possibility of this truth.Mr Goodson took a few deep breaths, walking over with a dertemined look on his face. "General, it's all true. When I returned back to El-Tarter last night, I followed those farmers back to their camp, only to find that they are part of the resistance. They pretended to be returning to the mountains just to avoid your trouble."Hearing this, Mr Dowson turned around to look at the windy mountains. They suddenly felt so abondoned and disolate."General, don't waste your time exploring the mountains. We don't have enough time, let's rush back immediately to catch them unaware
A few hours later, on the outskirts of the El-Tarter, a thousand royal soldiers marched toward the east. The general Bengy Dowson led the men, riding alongside him was none either than Mr Goodson. As the men passed by a narrow path, they saw a few men farming near the river. The general raised his hand up and everyone stopped."Quickly, ask those men if they saw the bandits pass by here lately."A soldier ran down quickly and soon returned."My lord, the farmers say thousands of men passed by here some eight hours ago. They recognised some of them as the mountain bandits."Hearing this, both Bengy and Mr Goodson nodded, but the latter was skeptical. Just as Mr Dowson was about to signal for them to continue, Mr Goodson spoke."Wait, Mr Dowson, don't you think there's something strange going on here?" Mr Goodson said while staring at the farmers."What do you mean," Bengy glared at him suspiciously."Look at it like this," Mr Goodson said, pointing to the farmers. "Why does it seem li
