As James had handled the situation, Summer felt relieved and soon fainted.

The next morning, her vision cleared as she opened her eyes. She found herself back in the apartment, where everything around her was as before. The sunlight cast gentle warmth on her skin.

Sitting up in the bed, Summer rubbed her temples. She recalled what had transpired the night before. She remembered being attacked by three men at the bar, and James showing up in time to save her. He had probably brought her back to the apartment.

While she was deep in thought, a voice came from outside the door. "Summie, are you awake?"

It was James. He knocked on the door before pushing it open. Dressed in a sharp suit, he carried a bowl of soup and sat next to Summer's bed.

Normally, at this hour, James would have already returned to work at his company. Now that he was still in the apartment, it meant he had taken leave to look after her.

Summer is so foolish, she put herself and her friend in harms way. If that tracker and camera were on the bracelet she and her friend would have been dead. She is not appreciative of James concern for her safety and wellbeing
