Stirring as a knock sounded on the door, Ximena jerked awake when her hands collided with some pillows.
A loud shriek slipped out of her lips and she fell from the bed.Groaning, she climbed atop the bed again and her brows creased as she stared at the unfamiliar room she was in.Then, her eyes shifted to herself.Instead of the clothes she had worn yesterday, she donned a black lacy nightgown that reached her thigh. Her heart palpitated and almost jumped out of her chest when she heard a thump outside of the door.Where was she? She thought as she stumbled out of the enormous bed to the broad window which was covered by a large curtain. She noticed she was in a master suite. There wasn't much to see in the room because the curtains were drawn together and the lights from the chandelier were dim.Ximena didn't remember coming to this place, and neither was the room she had rented in the Bright Hotel for the duration of her stay this massive. Was she abducted or in a kind of trance? She mulled as she glanced at herself again."Okay, be calm Ximena." She let out a shaky breath as the knock continued.Slowly, she glanced around the room for something to defend herself in case she had been abducted. A smile lit up her face as she saw a large bat by the window side. She gripped it whilst moving to the door slowly. As soon as she opened it, she swung."Cristo!""Do you hate me so much that you want to kill me?" Jason chuckled as he clutched the bat in his hands."Thank goodness it's you." Ximena breathed.Still, she wasn't satisfied and wanted to know the reason she was out of her clothes without making it sound like he had done anything to her. "Where are my clothes, who changed me?""Hmm," Jason hummed. He tapped his chin whilst assessing her.Ximena bristled and attempted to shove him outside for staring at her like she was a piece of meat, but he clasped her hands. His pupils dilated as he gazed at what she was on. He winced as his díćk noticed it as well.He fingered the lacy material which was transparent on her skin."M****a!" He cussed as her nipples responded to his touch on the strap of her nightie."W-what are you doing?" Ximena stuttered as he locked the door behind them."Jas…"She was silenced by his lips on hers. She moaned and her hands scrunched his shirt to tug him close."Damn it!" Jason grunted. He removed his lips from her swiftly and shoved her before striding out of the room without a second glance."What just happened?" Ximena mumbled, dazedly. She glanced at the door that Jason had stepped out of, and wondered what might have made him shove her.She was aware she had just proved to him that he could get her with just a snap of his finger.Just as he had said. She had behaved like a slút."Sh*t!" She screamed into the pillow as the thought of how she was going to face him later without it being awkward invaded her senses.*****************Looking at her reflection in the mirror, Ximena wondered if she had overdressed for dinner. But, she knew appearance was important and she didn't want to look underdressed if Jason happened to take her somewhere classy tonight. She hadn't seen him after the kiss they had shared earlier, but he had sent a text to her.She rolled her eyes as she remembered the simple yet naughty text he had sent.Perhaps, she was the one that interpreted it that way since it looks more like that to her.Her mind kept drifting off to the kiss, and she doubted if she would be able to face him tonight without thinking about his soft lips on her.A few seconds later, after donning on the red stilettos that compliment the black off-shoulder chiffon gown she donned, she heard a honk outside. Her phone vibrated almost immediately and she groaned as she glimpsed Jason's name flashing on the screen.Ximena placed him on speaker and yelled into the phone, "I'm almost done!""Take your time, sweetheart." He murmured. She did an eye roll and went on tossing clothes around the room as she searched for her clutch bag."Don't roll your eyes at me."Startled, she glanced around the room to see if she was being watched, and she noticed a camera attached to the wall."Seriously, Jason?" Ximena lifted a brow as she stared at it. "This is an invasion of privacy!"Then she remembered it was his room. She wondered if he did spy on girls he brought home. She grimaced whilst remembering acting like one of his slútty girlfriends.A blush tinged her cheeks as she realized she had been naked a few minutes ago. "How much did you see?" She crossed her arms in front of her and glared at the camera."I promised I didn't see anything. Moreover, stop glaring at the camera, it did nothing wrong. " Jason chuckled."Why should I believe you? You said you weren't a pervert, but now I'm thinking otherwise." Said Ximena, whilst smoothing her dress.A part of her believed he didn't see anything, whilst the other part wanted to berate him for even fixing a camera in the room in the first place."Well, Princess." He began. "You should know I'm quite famous. I see a lot of women every day. Also, they throw themselves at me, and I would never stoop so low as to watch you while you dressed up when I can have you beg for it in just a second.""Jas...""Besides," He continued, cutting her off. "I was well informed by Belinda that you were decent before I asked her to turn it on so I could see your face.""It's so assuring to know a lot of women throw themselves on you," Ximena snorted."If you keep rolling your eyes, we might end up having dinner on the bed with nothing on.""Goodness, me!"Ximena wondered how easy it was for him to be able to switch from being serious to him using sexual innuendos. This was Jason, and anything could be expected from him, she mused."On my way, and stop acting like a pervert." She hollered into the phone, before hanging up.She reapplied the lipgloss to her smeared lips and touched up her face one last time before stepping out of the room.Ximena walked down the hall and almost sprained her ankle as she sighted Jason standing by the foot of the stairs."I thought you were gone!" She grimaced. His eyes trailed her from head to toe, then back to her eyes again before he strolled forward.Ximena's breath hitched as she noticed how too close he was, and she couldn't help but sniff his manly cologne."I like your hair down," He rasped. His hand unclasped her hair from the clips she had held it in, and the long white hair fell, cascading to the middle of her back."You look, gorgeous princess." He muttered, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.~This is it.~"I will not involve the police in this," She murmured. It was just a minor problem that could be solved amicably by two mature people.Ximena Claros was going to confront her Spanish neighbour and Hollywood heartthrob, Jason Vidal, to tune down the volume of the dumb punk song blaring out of his obnoxious boombox and she would do that calmly even though her body trembled with outrage. She hopped out of bed, stuck her legs into the fuzzy pink slippers that were by the side of her nightstand and marched to his apartment which was next to hers. Her hands raised to bang on his door, but it went wide open as if he was expecting her.Ximena placed her hands on her waist, and she scowled at him as he scrutinized her.Jason's eyes gleamed when he saw the person at the entrance and he took a moment to also survey her."To what pleasure do I owe the snow princess a visit at," He paused, glancing at the fancy wristwatch he constantly wore. "La casa de Vidal," Jason said to the chauffeur whilst glancing at the golden wristwatch he wore."Okey," He nodded, before wounding up the windows, and switching on the air-conditioning in the car.Jason relaxed into the seat and emitted a sigh. The ride from the airport to the hospital was taking too long. Or perhaps, because it had been long since he last visited El Escorial. His hometown still looked the same, but he noticed some small stores which weren't there, close to the road leading to the Vidal's Villa. He was jet-lagged and he desired to rest in the comfort of his penthouse an hour from here before exploring the city. But he needed to visit his grandfather who had taken ill, and the old man was also the reason he was here.He hoped his visit would be as planned as he had other things he needed to do. Jason winced whilst kneading the flesh at the back of his neck as he alighted the car a few minutes later. He strode into the clinic, and his nose crinkled as the scent of an
"Ugh!" Ximena mumbled as her tummy somersaulted yet again. She pinched her eyes close, opened her mouth for air to drift in, and slouched into her seat as the plane decelerated. She loathed travelling by air, but she had no choice due to the nature of her job. Ever since she had gotten the job as a part-time model in the current agency she was in, she had been going to different locations by air even though she could go by road.It was a necessity because she had attempted to talk her boss out of it, but he had termed it as rebelliousness if she didn't abide by the rule.Asides from Ximena loathing it, travelling by air was faster and safer than other means. So, she had opted to use it today despite it being a work-free day for her.She counted to ten slowly, gripping the seat as the pilot announced they were landing. Her heart plummeted along with the plane, and her forehead became damp. She breathed in and out deeply as soon as it landed, but her ordeal didn't end there. Ximena tugged the sweatshirt she donned around her body tighter as the chilly night air penetrated her exposed skin. She shivered and emitted a sigh when someone staggered into her.“I'm sorry." He sputtered, then went on his way whilst stumbling into the trash can.Ximena let out another sigh as she read the sign on the doorpost. “Choice bar.”She glanced back at her phone, and read the requirement which had been pasted by the website to become a bartender.“I hope I won't regret doing this," Mumbled Ximena as she slipped the glasses she had picked earlier from the thrift store on.She tugged her hair into a messy bun before pulling out the beanie in her backpack. There were not many people who had naturally white hair in the world. And for once she looked a lot like the famous model Jazmine Fernandez. The white hair and stormy grey eyes made it even hard to miss the semblance between them. But now with the beanie on, she looked more like a nerd as she glimpsed at her reflection in a
“I'm sorry, all that happened to you. How is your father?" Jason asked, staring at her.“Right now, I don't know how he is. But when I left New York, he was in a critical condition and it saddens me to see him that way." Said Ximena.“The person I had thought would help me, discarded me like I was nobody to her. She didn't even turn to look back at me once." She added. Her lips turned down in disgust as she remembered what had transpired earlier. She might have been delusional to have thought the woman would want to help with whatever she wanted.Yet, she had been disappointed over again.Jason couldn't imagine what she was going through right now. He was glad he had stepped on the break on time as soon as she had jumped in front of his car.
