"Joan and Cole, you have been brought together in holy matrimony, and you have vowed to keep your marriage pure and permanent for as long as you both shall live. I now pronounce you husband and wife," said the officiant with a wide grin on his face. 

The officiant was a reverend in his fifties, but very young at heart. He shook his head, seeing the eagerness of Cole and also that of Joan. He saw how Cole was ready to remove Joan's veil that he teased, saying, "With love there is patience."

For seconds, he stayed in silence, just smirking from ear to ear. The officiant's actions made the crowd laugh, seeing how he was keeping the newlyweds from achieving their most awaited wedding kiss. Even Cole and Joan wound up chuckling. 

"Again, I now pronounce you husband and wife." Turning to Cole, the reverend said, "Cole, you may kiss your bride."

Loud screams and shrieks resonated across the halls of the cathedral, suggesting a long kiss.
