The laboratory assured them that they will forward the results to the doctor as soon as the analysis was in.
The doctor earlier suggested that the blood test will be more accurate and given her last real menstruation, the pregnancy would not form a heartbeat yet. The doctor advised against an Ultrasound for the time being.
As they sat on the couch, Cole put an arm around Joan and said, "If you are pregnant, then great. If you are not, then, let's try again." He pecked on her cheek and said, "But of course, I want you to be pregnant."
After an hour of feeling anxious, the results arrived at the doctor's clinic. Joan and Cole returned to the doctor's room, eager to find out the outcome.
