Heath held the door open for Talen to carry Aislen through. As Talen set her to her feet, Aislen gazed around in amazement. The room seethed with big, muscled men in green, strapping on flak vests and weaponry with a frightening efficiency. Many of their eyes flicked to them as Heath led the way through the crowd, obviously recognising him for who he was, and regarding her and Talen with more curiosity.

Rhett and Cameron were strapping into armour, and looked f-king sexy doing so, Aislen thought, even as the fear as to why such armour might be needed iced the pit of her stomach. Rhett looked up from scraping his hair back into a ponytail and saw them, nudging Cameron with his elbow so that his red-haired mate looked up from where he fought with a buckle.

“Before you say anything,” Rhett started.

“Say what?” Talen raised an eyebrow stepping forward to do up the buckle for Cameron.

“About this…” Rhett looked around him, and his jaw set.
