Chapter V

What happen today surely made uproar, members of the tribe have so many speculations on what happen, and many question the rumor, especially those who was there.

Those who were able to witness how strong Shin is have doubt, but no one dares to speak against the Alpha.

The scene happens very fast, that not everyone was able to see it. And although some of them have ideas, many do not wish to get involve.

The Alpha's reaction was undeniably questionable; he came as fast as the uproar started, and react like Shin is a traitor without even asking what happen.

He was very mad at Shin, not because of the attack, but because he transformed. It was an obvious way of suppression. He doesn’t want people to see how strong the second son is, he wish no one to see that Shin is the true heir of the throne. Cause underneath this façade is a secret he doesn’t want to be uncovered.

Shin used to listen to what the Alpha says, he listen almost all his life, but not today. Not when his big brother is kissing his mate. He was not able to hold down, not able to stop himself from punching the man he called big brother. His eyes are full of hatred, hatred that can kill.

But when he finally land on Ginji’s body, he noticed something very peculiar, the woman gazing on her, do not make his heart dance. Yes she has the smell of vanilla, but she doesn’t make him feel like he wanted her. It was a mere smell.

This is the very first time he let his emotion overthrow him. The very first time he thought of fighting with all his might, but after a few second he has second thought.

He stops, and was lost in question. How can this woman smell so sweet, yet she doesn’t make him feel like he wanted her. Everything was out of impulse.

Like everyone in the tribe he respects tradition. Plus he never dreamt to be the next Alpha. In fact Shin would be happy given the chance to live a normal life. If only they stop thinking that he will take Ginji’s rightful birth, being the second son was something that favors him.

For some reason Shin felt lost in the tribe, as if everyone here can only see him as threat. It never occurs to him to wish to be more than what he is. Though inside he felt extra powerful, he did not think of moving upward the ladder of leaders.

Shin wanted to rather be normal, every time they go down the mountain to replenish their stocks; he was able to see how far human being live. They live with a life with no boundary, no Alpha to dictate everything from food to life choices. They walk freely, and dress freely.

But being a werewolf also gave him strength that no human can match; he’s a more superior being in a less progressive society. He is ought to embrace the life given to him, but he sulked with the fact that his life is tangled with so much trouble.

Although he wishes not to be an alpha, he wanted change, change that he knew will never happen. The lineage of his father will continue, so does his legacy. Change is by far a struck of luck. And Ginji, doesn’t hold that luck, he will surely be like their father. But still, Shin wishes not to be in the way, because he knew that being an Alpha will not make the change he wishes to happen. He needs to go far, farther than just being the next Alpha.

A rumor spread that shin attack Ginji to challenge him for the throne Ginji as the future rules of the tribe did not fight back against his little brother.

It was a rumor Shin asked Liza to spread around he was not mistaken, everyone in the tribe was talking about them.

“How did you know it was Shin’s idea?” it was Shin’s best friends who asked Liza

Liza did not know how to answer. She was standing beside Yo and just try to follow Shin but failed

He did not talk to her directly, but she knew she heard him it was a clear instruction to spread the rumor

This isn’t the first time this thing happen. Like when she was able to shift on a very young age which is not normal

Like the time when she heard him chant the word mate, though it was not for her, but for another girl who fakes it. She heard him as if he was talking to her

Well, the truth is Jenica hasn’t faked it for Shin it was for Ginji unfortunately the flirt forgot that its Shin’s 18^th and his looking for his mate.

It was a vanilla essence perfume, in a color brown plastic spray bottle.  

Days past by without Shin being seen in any part of the tribe’s den not a single soul heard or saw him does thus knew something is wrong

There was no lunch or dinner prepared for Shin as if he’s not around

He tried to communicate to him, tried if she can send him message through telepathy or something, but nothing she wasn’t able to reach him

Liza stay alert in case she’ll hear any news of his whereabouts she even waited him to plead once more thinking she might be able to hear him like the last time but nothing happens no voices no messages nothing magical is happening Shin is missing and no one is looking for him

No one there’s to look for the real and rightful owner of the throne

Another day past when the people from the kitchen talks about Shin

Apparently the butler saw him in the dungeon. Said that his hands is tied in the ceiling and the alpha himself put him there

He accuse him of doing black magic to have such a strong wolf, it was the same accusation the previous Luna received.

“Where?” Liza asked

“Stop butting around, this is none of your business. Unless you want to be executed with him you better stay away from this topic.” It was madam Dain the head chef who told Liza

“It’s not that new to me, being threaten. And besides I’m not afraid to die.” She answered without thinking twice

“Liza, no one will kill you. But it is an order that anyone who gets into this will be tagged as traitor. You don’t want to be a double traitor right? The daughter of the traitor is a traitor.” Madam Dain says with a lot of conviction.

“Hush!” Greg the butler tried to silent Madam Dain.

Liza felt desperate; she knew she can’t help Shin now.
