I pulled the duvet over me as I turned slightly to face Alpha Alaric. The light from the fireplace glistened off his sweat-covered skin and I watched as his chest slowly rose and fell. It had been more than three weeks since I and the Lycan King became intimate and every night that I now spent with him seemed better than the last. The preparations for the mating ceremony had begun since daytime as the ceremony was to start by midnight. I laid on my bed, staring at my ceiling as different thoughts ran through my mind. I questioned myself, asking if what I was about to do really was the right thing or if I was taking things too far.
