A sob burst out of my throat after I walked some meters away from the pack house and I crumbled onto the ground, my body trembling as I held back the urge to scream my lungs out in pain.

"Please help me, moon goddess. Help me to help him," I cried bitterly.

Truly I needed her help because the ache that gnawed in my chest on seeing Gradel's weak and helpless state grew with more intensity, prompting me to act faster.

I had to find Silas no matter what it would take me and it had to be now.

Still covered with my veil, I sauntered across the garden and sneaked out through the small gate that was meant for an emergency exit. Strangely, no guard was posted there but I didn't care because it was to my advantage.

I'd never been to his place before as there was no need to visit him and I doubted if he'd still be there. Elda had succeeded in turning everyone away from Gradel and if Silas had any sense, he wouldn't be in this pack.

And that posed a problem because I didn't know
