Eliot Park’s POV
I was getting comfy by the time that we were about to land in New York. I don’t know about everybody else but I am dying to get some action tonight.
Albeit, if my mother let me off early before she gave me one of her speeches for me to behave better in the future.
‘You should not be doing this,’
‘You cannot behave like this, Eliot. What will the public say?’
‘Why can’t you be like your father and settle down right now?’
My mother always thought that I would be settling down like she did with my father when they were younger. I would not like to be tied up to one person when I can have every woman in the world every week.
‘Someday, you will understand that you will only want her and only her can fill the void inside you, in here,’ my mother told me as she laid her palm over my chest where my heart was. I was 21 at the time, barely knows a thing but right now, I think I know what she meant by that.
The stranger that I met at the party a few days ago, still linger in my mind.
I sighed before my private jet was descending to the ground as I was smiling charmingly at the flight attendant that was smiling seductively at me.
Alas, I don’t dabble with my employees for I know my father would not forgive me if I ever did. I thanked them before I was getting out of the plane as the merry summertime of New York was greeting me.
I put on my sunglasses before I was moving toward the car that was waiting for me. I nodded at the driver as I slid inside the car before he did as well.
“You know where to go,”
“Yes, sir. NYU, right?”
“You better know it,” I said before the driver shifted the gear into D and we were moving forward, making the distance smaller to the woman that have given birth to me and I cannot wait to see her after two years now.

The driver parked outside the campus where the faculty that my mother worked for as I was telling him to get something to do before I summon him back. He nodded before he drove off as I was looking at the glass building that was supposed to be running on green technology.
I’ll be the judge of that.
I walked into the building before I was looking at the inventory for my mother’s floor. It changed every time I was here and thank goodness that this year it did not change like the last visit that I came here.
Never getting that moment back again when I was walking into a professor who was making out with his wife. I just said sorry before I went out and looked at the inventory before I was going to the right room where my mother was.
I pushed the sunglasses to the top of my head before I was starting to walk to the room where my mother was. I saw some students that were arguing and they were talking. One was sweet and the other was more unladylike, in my opinion. Not that I would be the judge of them as they walked passed by.
There was 2 other people, a man and a woman, who were indulged in their talking before they were getting inside room and I was walking ahead to the stairs that will lead to my mother’s room at the second floor.
I turned on the right corner before I was looking at my mother who was getting out of the building outside. I was looking at them before I was cursing under my breath in Norwegian. I sighed before I was rubbing my mouth then I decided that I will catch on later I supposed.
It’s time for me to get to know New York City after two years since my last visit.
I called for my driver before I was walking toward the room that I will be visiting in the future. I saw some other students that were talking out loud and I was trying not to smirk as I know some of them were looking my way.
Why would they not?
I am a hot blooded male with blonde hair and cobalt blue eyes. Surely, I was attractive enough for them to be staring at me as I was walking by. The car arrived before I was outside the building as I was walking toward it.
The driver greeted me before I was sliding inside the car as I was telling him to drive to the mansion that my father bought for my mother. It has been our house whenever we’re in New York and now that my mother was working in the States, it was put to good use.
“Let’s go home. I think I might want to get out and have some drinks tonight,” I said as I laid back and I was looking at the glorious city of New York with its skyscrapers and tall buildings around them.
I could get used to this.
*****
After the driver pulled over at the foyer of the mansion , I was looking at the mansion that was kept in good shape with the numerous staffs that will be helping my mother to keep this place clean and pristine.
I sighed before I was climbing up the stairs before the huge oak doors were opening in front of me.
“Welcome home, young master,” the butler stated as I was patting his shoulder before I was making my way into the mansion.
“Is my mother not home yet?” I asked him before he shook his head as I was making my way to the bedroom that I usually used when I was staying here.
“Well, if she comes home, tell her I will be out and about in the city,” I said before I was smiling at him. “and please do not tell her that I will be getting down on for some business because I am,” I said before I shut the door and getting ready for my night in town.
Astrid Olsen’s POV
I was looking around the restaurant before I was looking at the old woman who would be my manager for the next weeks until I got the confirmation letter that I will be continuing my study in NYU in USA.
“So, are you telling me that you never done all this before?” she asked me as I was looking at her. I smiled before I was nodding at him.
“Well, I did not have much freedom to get some working experience as my father was strict so I hope that you would give me a chance to go over all of this,” I said as I was staring around the restaurant before the old woman smiled me.
“I have to give to you, you are excited. Oh well, the job’s yours and you all got to do was to get the order and bring them back to the kitchen. You might as well have to carry some of the drinks and get whatever the customers want, within the legal procedure of course,” she said before she nodded at me.
“I will do my best ma’am,” I said before I was making my way to get around and learned on how to be a waitress. I must say, it wasn’t too bad and I started to get the hang of it. I am happy and I was ready to get into the action when I was supposed to serve the newlyweds that just came through.
The man looked like he could kill someone and his wife was a petite young woman with peculiar violet orbs.
I smiled at them before I was looking at the huge diamond rings that the wife was wearing before I tried to keep my eyes of the husband.
“Hi, two people?” I asked as I was trying to make sure that they would understand me. I know that I don’t speak Italian but I will try to make sure that they can understand my English as well. The husband nodded before I was showing them to their table.
“If you’re ready to order, I would be Astrid,” I said before I was leaving them to decide as I went to serve some of the others as well. they called for me before I was taking their orders and I went to put it to the cook so that he could start working on it.
I returned to the table as the wife was blushing hard for something that the husband was saying. I can see that their love was blossoming and I hoped that I would have this love as well.
But not in the nearest future, no. I have another Ph.D. to fulfill.
The day went on and I was exhausted by the time that I was finished. My manager said well done and I said goodbye as I walked back to the rental room that I was supposed to be staying with Taylor.
I wondered what she was up to right now.
Eliot Park’s POV
I was scanning the crowd as I was trying to make sure that I did not know anyone here. My eyes immediately went toward a woman that was dancing without the care in the world at the center of the bar before I joined her. I was putting my hands on her and she was eager to dance with me until I heard someone was shouting from afar.
“—what the fuck are you wearing and what are you doing here?” the familiar voice was filling my eardrum before I turned to look at the familiar face after all.
Cameron Hayes.
“Hey, it’s Cameron. What are you doing here?” the woman that was dancing with me was looking at him before I chuckled lowly.
“Please do not tell me the Great Cameron Hayes has come home,” I said as I was looking at him. His stare was dangerous and I think I know what was the cause of that.
“Eliot Park. I never thought that I would see you again,” he said before he was trying to pull the woman to his side. The woman that I was dancing with right now.
Interesting.
I grabbed her other hand and pulled her to my side as I was clashing my gaze with Cameron. He clenched his jaws before he was glaring murderously at me.
“Fancy seeing you here. I thought you have packed up and moved to Seattle,” I said before I was smirking at him. He gripped the woman’s wrist until she flinched from it.
“Let her go,” he said as I can see that this woman was uncomfortable with my touch. My, my, my, what I have discovered today?
Now this was one night to remember, if you asked me since I have found Cameron Hayes’s weakness right under my nose after all.
Eliot Park’s POV“And why should I do that? She’s not your girlfriend, is she?” I asked him as Cam was clenching his jaws when the woman was staring at him.“That is none of your business,” he said before the woman was swaying as I can sense that she was already leaning against Cam. I see, they were in love but too afraid to tell each other.“Well then, I cannot leave her with you. Who knows what you might do to her,” I said, adding some spiciness to their relationship. Then, Cam laughed bitterly.“And you do? No, I don’t trust you any more than a stranger that I saw in the streets. This woman used to work with me together in Seattle and as you can see,” he said as he was pointing at the ruby necklace that the woman was wearing. I smirked inwardly before Cam was smiling with triumph at me.“She’s my betrothed after all,” he said before he smirked. I pretended to clench my jaws before Cam was carrying the woman away.“Now that matter settled,
Eliot Park’s POVI was looking at the woman that was named Daisy Dyer. Dyer, as in the famous scientist named Jayson Will Dyer. Was she related to him? So, I asked her the million-dollar question that someone would find it was offensive when been asked about it.“Say, did your father named Jayson Will Dyer?” I asked before Daisy was blinking her eyes at me. then, she nodded before I chuckled.“I thought as much. I am an admirer of your father’s work. I can agree that the meteorite was the reason for the Old Ocean to form. Say, do you have any work that he has never published before?” I said as Daisy seemed a little bit lost in translation there.I guess she did not read her father’s paper.“Hmm, I don’t think there were unpublished papers for my father but I can look it up if you wanted to,” she said as I was staring at the grey orbs that were glaring at me. Daisy was looking at me before she turned to look at Dylan Windell as well.He was w
Eliot Park’s POVI was standing next to the car before I saw that my mother was talking to Windell. I smirked before his jaws were clenching again. I know what my mother was telling him. he should have not gone down on Daisy when they were in the garden.Fun Fact: everyone as looking at their show tonight, including my mother and me.I chuckled lowly before I was looking at the retreating car that my mother rode with Daisy before Dylan was calling someone. He cursed as I was walking up to him.“Say, if it wasn’t for Dylan Windell, son of Professor Theodore George Windell. I thought I would not have a chance to talk to you tonight,” I said as I was correcting my cuff links as Dylan turned to look at me. I smiled at him before he rolled his eyes.So much for a family reunion.“What do you want?” he asked me as I was looking at the sky. I know that Windell was the Wielder of the Wind and they were controlled by their emotions. I just hoped that Dylan
Eliot Park’s POVAfter the conference with my mother that night, I decided that I will be visiting her office on the very last day that I will be here before I have to fly to England with my dad. I don’t even know why he wanted me to go there but being the obedient son that I was, I just followed his order.Even though I would rather be spending some time with something else at the moment.I was walking up the stairs before I was making my way to my mother’s office. I have visited her here on the first day when she went out with her friends. But today, I told her that I will be going home and she decided that she wanted to look at me one last time before I departed for England.“I see that you did not improve your manners yet, my son. Coming into the room without knocking first,” my mother said as I was smirking at her. she was sitting at her desk as I was slipping into her office before I was looking around. There was so many books that I know she woul
Eliot Park’s POV I sighed as I was looking outside the window of the private plane that I took to go to New York before I was making another pit stop in England.London, England to be specific.I don’t even know why I was brought here but my father summoned me to be here for the grand introduction of the relatives of Her Majesty Queen Diana and her son, Hugh. It was rumored that his only daughter, Her Royal Highness Taylor Baker was married to one Prince of Hungary named Eddy Rovski and it was their first introduction to the world as a married couple. My father was famous enough to be invited and knowing that he knew Levine Virtanen which will be making an appearance at the ball, I supposed he invited my father as well. And my father asked me to accompany him, like always. And me, being the obedient and only son to one Pearse Park, has to come along. The plane landed in Heathrow before I was accompanied with my father’s driver and his personal bod
Astrid Olsen’s POV“So, let me get this straight,” my supervisor said as I was sitting across her desk when she was pinching her nose bridge, “you failed to get the sample plant and you still want to do the presentation?” Lucia asked me as I was nodding at her. I have known her since I was a Ph.D. student in Norway where she was the wife of the famous founder of Green Technology in Norway.I am still trying to make sure that I was not dreaming that I am her graduate’s student for my newest Ph.D. scroll.“Yes, I know what you will try to say but I will try to make sure that I will get the funding that I needed to continue this research,” I staked my freedom on this one after all, I thought before I was smiling at her.Lucia was looking at me for a moment before she sighed. She looked at my analysis before the storm was hitting the base camp and turned to look at me again.“Are you pretty sure that you will get the funding that you need
Eliot Park’s POVSince I discovered that Astrid Freya Olsen was not in Norway and I did find out that she was a Ph.D. student at an institute that I know so much, I just have to go there and meet her in person. Even my mother was surprised to see me again after my last visit which was a few months back.I have never been visiting her more than once every 2 years.“Well, this is a change of scenery,” she said when I was settling in my bedroom at the family mansion that we bought in New York City. I smiled at her before I was pulling her to get some dinner together.“Don’t worry. It will be only temporary,” I said before we went to get some dinner and I have been in the States for one month now. It is time for me to meet my mysterious scientist now.And right now, I was inside my mother’s office, talking about something before someone opened the door and I was staring at the odd couple that was giving us a show at the conference in the garden.“Well
Astrid Olsen’s POVI blinked my eyes at the man who just told me that if I wanted to get the funding for my research, I have to sacrifice my freedom and be his wife. Was he insane or what?I chuckled as I was trying to process the statement in my head. I don’t know what came over me but all I can say was, “What?”“You heard me. I know that this research will have the potential that it can shock the world but in order to compensate the funding that I will be giving to you, I need to know that this research will be for my company and mine alone,” he said before the fair man was crossing his arms in front of me. His suit was restraining from the muscles that were bulging underneath it.“Look, mister—““Eliot. You may call me Eliot, Miss Olsen,” he said as he was smirking at me. I blinked at him before I just realized that he knew my name.My real name that I don’t even give to him. but perhaps he learned it when he was reading my booth presenta
Astrid Olsen’s POVI was tossing and turning before I was looking at the empty left side of the bed. I sat up from the bed as I turned to look around the master bedroom that we have moved in last month. I smiled before I was stretching up,
