MARA’S POV

Today was a really good one. First, I spent a good time with Mike, and secondly, I came back home to have fun conversations with Serena.

Just thinking about what Mike and I shared together, made me feel something I had never felt, in years, and I just wanted to keep our connection.

~flashback~

I had gotten to his house, and we had dinner. After dinner, we watched some movies, had fun conversations, until wine spilled on my drink, and I had to go to the bathroom to clean up.

After cleaning up, and washing it, I realized I didn’t bring an extra dress, and only wrapped the towel around my body, wondering what I was going to do. But then, a knock came on the door, and Mike came in, without wasting a second.

He was with a new dress.“I just thought you might need one.” He uttered, but his eyes were saying a different thing.

The way he stared lustfully at my body, magically turned me on, and my desire for him, got so intense that I didn’t know when he got so close to me, and our e

SERENA’S POVThe next day, I got down from the bed, and checked the time on my phone. It was morning, and the date was 14th. Also, I definitely remembered my actions from last night when I woke up until when I finally went back to bed.I stepped into the bathroom, and washed up, ready for the day. I just couldn’t wait to get to the hospital which Mara wanted to take me to. To know what was really wrong with me, would be nothing but the best.Although, it’s kind of creepy that I would be able to find out what’s going on with me, and for something to be really creepy, physically, how much more, when I find out what made it possible to seem really weird. After washing up, I put on a casual dress, and stepped out of my room. Just as I stepped out, I noticed Mara, walking towards me. A smile came up on my face, especially because it was evident that she cared, a lot about me.“I see you’re ready.” She said, with a vibrant smile.“Yes! I’m ready.” Truly, I was ready, but I couldn’t deny the

SERENA’S POV“Uhm… So, you’ll need to come for another session with me.” The doctor said as we came out of the room, and Mara rose to her feet, on sighting us. “What was the result, doctor? Did it not go well?”“Well, according to her, it only got her confused. I guess she saw something else, instead. Judging from her brain waves, the frequency shows she wasn’t really in a good state.” The doctor responded. Then Mara placed her arm, around my shoulder.“What’s going on? What did you see?” She asked me, looking really concerned.“I…I don’t know. I was meant to see memories which I don’t remember, but instead, all I saw, was nothing but confusion. You know what? I just… I just want to leave this place.” I said, wanting to go far away from everything here.“Alright, alright.” She responded, and then we walked out of the hospital, then waited for a cab to pass by.Although, I had wondered once, about why she didn’t own a car, considering the status of her family, but that would be a questi

SERENA’S POVThe next day, I woke up in my room, but I was in chains. I gasped in shock, and looked at both my hands, wondering how these chains came to be, on my hand. They were silver chains, and weakened me on the inside.“Why…Why am I bound in chains?” I muttered out, in fear.I looked at where the chains were connected to. It was connected to the wall. It seemed they had pinned them, recently, because I could see a new crack in the wall. Could this be another nightmare which looks so real?“Help! Help me!” I yelled out, out of fear.I dragged the chain as hard as I could, but still, it was difficult for me to break free. I also looked around for any pin, to try to pin the lock, but then, I don’t even know how to pin a lock. I didn’t learn it from my friends, even when they had done it in my presence, so many times.“Oh, shit!” I cursed out as I also looked towards my bedside table, for my phone, but there was no way I could use my hands to get it.I just felt so empty, and weak. ALPHA LUCAS’ POV“Shit!” I cursed out loud and hit my fist on the wall, in anger.“You don’t have to worry. Chase after her while I get a doctor to heal her up.” Elijah urged me, and I nodded.I hurried down the stairs, and dashed out of the building in search of Serena. Definitely, she would have headed out to the forest, so that was where I was going to search, first. On getting to the tip of the forest, I saw a blood trail which I followed, but it ended not too far from where I started.“Shit! Where the hell are you?” I uttered, under my breath.I couldn’t get a hint of where she was, and that was almost driving me crazy. I looked left and right, but there was no trail I could see, from where I was. Then an idea came to my mind. I bent down to touch the blood, and smelled it. It wasn’t really her blood, but at the same time, it was her blood. The evil wolf spirit must have been badly hurt by the exorcist. What made me curious was how it was able to get away, despite that the silver c

SERENA’S POV My eyelids fluttered open, and for a while, things seemed a bit fuzzy, and I had to close my eyes back, to get a clean sight. The trick worked! I looked around, and figured out I was back in my room, and everything seemed clean and neat, unlike the last time I set my eyes on the room. The last thing I remembered was me feeling nauseous to an extent that I passed out, and I guess the evil wolf spirit must have taken over, since then. Is it still in me? Was the exorcist able to take it out, or not? Why can’t I remember anything, like being free from the evil wolf spirit? “Hey, big girl. Missed me?”I suddenly heard Lorna speak, and it got me so excited that I could have almost sat up abruptly, and screamed, out of excitement. “Lorna, is that you?” I asked, trying to confirm.“Obviously. It is me.” Lorna responded, coolly.“Wow. Where have you been? Why have you been silent, all along?” I questioned her, wondering why she had even chosen this time to speak. “That’s because

It’s best I find a shelter, than run under the rain.” I explained to him, looking a bit concerned about how bad the rain was going to be as I didn’t want to experience the aftermath of going under the rain.Suddenly, the rain began to fall in droplets, and I looked around in fear.“Alright, we can go under that tree.” Elijah suggested, and we both hurried down to the tree. The tree was big enough, and even its branche

SERENA’S POVThe next day, I woke up, feeling a positive mood. I stared at my wrist band, and smiled. Joy beamed in my heart like an inflated balloon on a good day.Who would have known that a gift like this would bring me so much joy, and liveliness in the atmosphere? Merely looking at it made me yearn to see him, but how was I going to see him? What excuse, would be perfect?“Hmm.” I sighed as I placed my index finger on my chin, going through a chain of suggestions.“Yes! Perfect!” I voiced out as I finally thought of the one perfect excuse to use.I pulled my bed cover from my body, and got down from my bed immediately, then hurried into the bathroom to wash my face up, and brush my teeth. After doing that, I stood before the mirror to brush my hair up, and then packed it into a bun. A smile came up on my face as I admired my beauty. Then I headed for the door, and stepped out of the room, the moment I opened the door. Butterflies fluttered in my belly as I got closer to his room.

MARA’S POVIt was funny to think that I had actually cooked up an excuse to ensure I’m able to spend time with Michael, without anyone knowing. Although, I felt kind of guilty that I didn’t tell Serena about it, because she deserved to know, but then, I guess I would let it slide, this time.Next time, I’m going to ensure that I let her know about my movement, no matter the person I’m going to see, except maybe if it had to be confidential, and yeah, that would probably be business.“Hey, baby. How’s the meal preparation, going?” Michael asked as he joined me in the kitchen.“It’s going pretty well. And even much better, now that you are around.” I uttered with a smile, and twisted my legs, feeling girly as I stared into his eyes.“From what I see, you’re done, cooking, and what’s left is for you to serve the lovely food. But then, before you do that, I’ll love to do what has been on my mind, ever since you arrived here, at my house.”“Oh, really?” I chuckled, feeling excitement, rise

  • The Nameless Luna   THE END

Lucas’ POVSpending my mating night in a hospital room was definitely not part of the plan. I kept my gaze on Serena who lay on the bed, her face was pale, her breathing weak. I sat beside her, gripping her hand. My heart hadn’t stopped racing since she collapsed.I could still hear the way she gasped before falling. The fear that ripped through me. The way my entire body went cold when she didn’t wake up no matter how much i shook her.I exhaled slowly, squeezing her fingers. “Serena,” I murmured, but she didn’t move. The door slammed open.“Elijah?” I turned just in time to see him storm inside, his jaw was clenchedas his eyes burned with rage.“Outside with me," he said and left. I stared at Serena for a while before leaving. "What the hell happened?” he asked as soon as we got out.I stood. “She collapsed during the ritual. The physician is—”“You let this happen?” He stalked closer, his fists clenched. “I warned you, Lucas. I warned you if anything happened to her—”“I didn’t let

THIRD PERSON POVThe room was quiet that the steady beeping of the monitor felt too loud. Lucas hadn’t moved from his chair in hours. Elijah had arrived at the hospital just a few minutes ago but they hadn't said a single word to each other. He stood by the wall, arms crossed, his expression unreadable as he watched Serena. The physician’s words kept replaying in Lucas’ head. "She might not survive… If she does, she may lose all her memories this time."Lucas never prayed, but he had that night. He had begged whatever force existed not to take her away from him. He had done everything wrong, but losing her wasn’t something he could bear.Elijah exhaled heavily. “She'll be fine,” he muttered mostly trying to convince himselfLucas didn’t respond. His hand rested on Serena’s, his thumb running over her cold fingers. 'Wake up,' he wanted to say. 'Open your eyes, tease me, glare at me—just do something.'He was so scared she'd slip into a coma again. Just when he finally got her back. The

Lucas's POV I had had enough of Eliana and her father!Even after everything, they only manipulate Serena and paint me the bad guy? I thirsted so badly for my revenge now more than ever.I gathered my warriors and prepared them. It's time to take her back. This time I'm the one giving them an ultimatum. The release of my mate or a bloody war. I will have Vincent's head. I will have his head!I marched down to the pack meeting room with Liam and Elijah on each side following 5 feet behind me. I knew Liam still had questions about Elijah but all will be revealed in due time. Probably after I rescue Serena from that pack. Only God knows what state she is in and what on earth Eliana had been doing to my mate. I finally got to the room and gazed at every warrior standing there waiting for me. "Warriors," I began,"We stand at the precipice of a battle. Alpha Vincent seems to take me and my pack as a joke and he has had fun playing with us. But now it's time for it all to end."I paused,

SERENA'S POV "Okay, maybe if i just.." i whispered into the dark as i switched positions in my bed. "fuck, still uncomfortable." I couldn’t sleep at all and it was past midnight by now. The thought of Lucas in that dungeon, awaiting his fate, gnawed at me all night. Everything my father had told me, everything Eliana had said, none of it felt right. Even his death sentence was wrong, although he did kidnap me, he also saved me from getting mauled by that rogue. I owe him my life and letting him die just didn't feel right. "No, he's getting what he deserves." i whispered as i turned again in bed. There was this ache inside me, a pull I couldn’t explain. I kept replaying his face when he hugged me, the way he looked at me like he had finally had a breathe of fresh air after being deprived of it for so long. And when i had walked into father's office to explain what had happened, the way he stared at me broke me for some reason. Why did he look so hurt and betrayed, he barely even kn

LUCAS' POVI couldn’t stop myself from grinning as I walked through the gates of Vincent’s pack house. My disguise was rough, but it had to work. I was wearing a warrior’s uniform, with a mask and a fake tattooed marking that all warriors of bloodhound pack had on their arms. It was a risk, but it was the only way to get close to her.I had been waiting for this moment for what felt like forever. Three months without seeing her. Three months. Three months of constant aching, of never knowing if she was okay, of not being able to hold her, to talk to her, and spending every waking hour spent thinking about Serena. I knew I had to do something, anything, to get her back. I couldn’t just sit by anymore. Forcing my way into Blood Hound pack through war wasn't working so personally infiltrating is the better option. The plan was simple, get into Vincent’s pack. Disguise myself as one of his warriors, find my mate and escape with her. I had managed to slip in without anyone suspecting any

  • The Nameless Luna   FAILURE

LUCAS POV I sat alone in my study, the room was dimly lit as the only source of light available was from a single candle, flickering as the wind blows by. The scent of stale whiskey filled in the air, mingling with the acrid smell of burnt parchment. On my desk were maps and notes, they were scattered and I stared at them as they reflected my head right about now. Every piece on my desk detailed Vincent’s territory, his strongholds, his weaknesses—or what little I knew of them. It wasn’t enough. It hadn't been enough for the past three months. Three months of failure. Absolute FAILURE.The more days passed by into weeks and then months the more I fall straight, face flat deeper and deeper into depression. I failed Serena. The one person I swore to protect above all else. I had been too slow, too blind, and now she was gone. My heart was slowly going numb, my world grey. Nothing made sense without her with me.Funny how a person could just appear in your life and become the entire l

I had planned it all so carefully, and Elijah ruined it in the last secondI clenched my fists, my nails digging into my palms. The thought of Lucas still breathing made my blood boil. I wanted nothing more than to destroy him and everything he cared about. But now. I had another problem to deal with, ElianaShe had stormed into my room last night. She was obviously furious. I intentionally hid my plan of killing Lucas from both Eliana and Elijah because i knew they wouldn't be on board with my plan and might try to stop me. Elijah's POVMy body was numb, my chest burning with every shallow breath. I thought this was it. Maybe I deserved it. I stirred slowly from my slumber, feeling anything but refreshed. Exhaustion pressed down on me like an unrelenting fog, thick and suffocating. A strange tiredness pulled at me, beckoning me back to the comforting depths of sleep. With a heavy sigh, I turned over, letting the darkness claim me again. It was easier to face the dreamscape than the misery I called life.Distant murmurs began to slip into my consciousness, faint and far away, like whispers traveling through walls."Who is he?" someone whispered, their voice low but filled with curiosity. "Alpha Elijah?""Why did the Alpha Lucas bring him back? Didn't he betray us?"I blinked, my eyelids heavy and my vision blurred as I tried to focus. Shadows moved around me, but nothing came into clarity. My body refused to cooperate, and the pull of sleep was too strong. I let it take me again, the voices fading into t
