SERENA’S POV

My eyelids blinked several times as he slowly withdrew his lips from mine, and helped me stand on my own.

“Uhm… You should get some rest.” He said as he looked away awkwardly, and sighed.

I smiled, but ensured to hide it away from him as I didn’t want it to seem like I was making jest of him, being a little awkward about everything.

“Yeah, thanks. I shall take my leave, now.” I said to him, and headed towards my room.

I couldn’t really explain how I felt when he suddenly kissed me out of the blue, but one thing I knew, was that, I wished it could go on, longer than that little moment it went on, for.

As I got into my room, I fell on the bed, and covered my face with my palms, and let out muffled screams. My mind kept replaying the moment he wrapped his arm around my waist, and how his lips worked its way around mine. It was heavenly, and it was quite difficult to stop thinking about it.

I cuddled with my pillow as I got ready to take a nap. After all, there was nothing m

SERENA’S POVWe had gotten back to the wolf world, and the mood I left in, earlier wasn’t the same I came back with. Elijah had actually taken me to my home, made me hide somewhere around the cars, and I had to watch as he knocked on the door.He was only going to act like he had missed his way, and then I would get to catch a glimpse of my mother. But to my disappointment, it was a new person who was living there, and she had said that the woman living there before, had left, a month ago.“You don’t need to feel bad. I’m sure she’s okay.” Elijah assured me.“She had to leave the house behind; where we’ve had a lot of memories. I don’t even know if she went on to search for me, or she just couldn’t bear living in that house, alone.” I uttered, and my voice broke. Then Elijah pulled me closer to him, and hugged me.“I’m sure she is fine. If you don’t want me to regret trying to make you happy, by taking you to the human world, then do me a favor by taking your mind off it.” I took in

Chapter 40ALPHA LUCAS’ POVThose were the words I didn’t want Serena to hear as she was going to misunderstand things. How I didn’t see it coming that Alpha Vincent was going to say such a thing in the presence of anyone, made me bite my lower lip, a little.I glanced at Serena, and she had this look of betrayal, through my heart. And even though I wanted to hold her and explain quickly that it wasn’t what I wanted her to think, I had to remain calm.“I will have to take my leave.” Serena said, without making eye contact with me, and then she walked out. Then Alpha Vincent looked back at me, expecting a response, not even minding if he had done something which he wasn’t supposed to, and all. Before I could speak, someone else from another pack, came over with a brightened facial expression.“Oh, Lucas. You look so grown up. It feels so nice to see you.” She spoke as she held my arm.She frequently visited our home when I was younger, and would praise me each time I did well with my

SERENA'S POV“What’s that?” I asked, trying not to give out the fact that I was a bit anxious that she could be suspecting that I had a crush on Lucas. It would be so embarrassing for her to know as well.“Are you sure you’re telling me what you really felt? You know, I feel it’s going to be more than the reason you just told me about, now.” Mara spoke as she rubbed her chin with her fingers.“I see. Well, there is nothing more to it.” I defended myself, and suddenly, I just felt the need to be alone. The pain of finding out that Lucas was engaged, got me feeling really sad, and all I wanted, was just to stay on my own.“By the way, I don’t want you to miss out on anything. You can go back to the party; I’ll like to have some rest. Been a long day, and we both know that.” I spoke, and tried my best to bring up a smile.“Hmm. Are you sure about that? I really don’t have anything to do downstairs, anymore. If you want me to spend time with you, I can.” Mara said, trying to obviously mak

Chapter 41ELIJAH’S POVThe party actually turned out well, and those I hadn’t seen in a while, came, which also resulted in a nice and productive communication. More like it’s been a while since we all felt this alive. Everyone had gone home, and the mansion seemed too big for just us who were originally living in it. I took one last gulp of my drink, and then made to go out of the living room when I saw Eliana.“Long time, my friend.” She said, with a smile on her face.“I thought you had already gone back home.”“Not yet. I decided to stay back because I wanted to see you.” She spoke, and then I sighed.“You want to see me?” I repeated, wondering why she would want to see me, especially after the party ended. But then, I decided to see her, to know what she could have to say. We both headed out to the garden, and then she exhaled like she felt relieved to be here.“We’re staying the night, since It’s already too late. But we’ll be leaving in the morning.”“I see. • The Nameless Luna   I like him

SERENA'S POVI took out my phone, and looked at myself. It was stupid, but I needed to see if I bore any kind of resemblance to Lucas. Maybe the documents had been the ones Alpha Vincent had signed to engage Lucas and his daughter whom I hated to admit was exceptionally beautiful and gracious in every way. However, I shook my head, and walked on. There was no way we could be relatives, could there? Then, I sighed. “Serena, that's the least of your problems right now. What are we going to do about what we feel for him?” If he was going to get engaged, then…What about me? Would I be forced to smile at his wedding? And when he gave birth to his kids, would I have to love them, hold them, and be nice to them?I got back home, in an even more sour mood, but happened to run into Lucas in the hallway close to my room. When he saw me, he strode over to me, and surprisingly wrapped me in a hug. My heart began to beat crazily like it wanted to split itself open against the ribcage of my chest

  • The Nameless Luna   Mission

SERENA'S POV. My feet slapped the marble floors harshly, as I made my way to my room hastily, tears blinding my eyes. I didn't want anyone to stop me— didn't want anyone to see me with such tears in my eyes. There was no way I would explain to them my sorrow and pain. They wouldn't understand. How could Lucas call me just so I could see him and Eliana together? Could he actually be doing it on purpose? Did he sense that I felt something for him? Was that why he wanted to show Eliana to me? It was unfair. He couldn't just treat me like that. It was stupid, and thoughtless of him to call me for that. Once I was in my room, I went straight to my wardrobe, throwing it open. With anger, I packed all that my hands could get a hold of, and threw them onto the bed, before returning to pack the rest.“We don't have to stay.” I said, as a way of instilling confidence into myself, as I ripped open a large traveling bag, pouring all the clothes into it. What use would I be when Lucas finally

SERENA'S POV. “A mission?” I asked, swallowing. Something about it just didn't sound right. It didn't. Maybe it was the way he said it, or the chilling look in his eyes as he said it. It all made me feel very unnerved. “A mission.” He repeated. “What mission is that? Is it something I can do? Something anyone can do? What exactly is it?”He continued to regard me with those soulless eyes. I couldn't even appreciate his beauty because of the aura he carried aronnd. It commanded fear. “Eliminate someone.” he finally replied “Eli… what? I should do what?”What was he saying? Eliminate as in murder?“I will not be repeating my words.” He droned icily. “You want me to kill someone. I'm… I'm not an henchman. I've never killed before, and I certainly do not want to do that. Why would I kill someone who did not offend me in any way. Why would I get blood on my hands?”“If the person offended you, will you kill them?”“No! I can't even harm a rabbit. Not to talk of a person. Why would I

SERENA'S POV. I walked faster, hoping to emerge from some glorious place that would lead me into paradise. I'd find a way to send word to Lucas, and ensure that he knew of the Alpha's plans to murder me. Hope lit in my chest, and I increased my pace, only to stumble on something hard, and fall with a grunt that echoed all around. The candle went off.“No, no, no…” I whispered, and looked up, only to find the light I had seen completely gone. How come? I had definitely seen light signifying that I was approaching the end of the tunnel. But then…“Shit.”It was probably something that reflected the light of my candle. Maybe silver or glass because that was the only explanation for everywhere being thrown into darkness.I got up, sneezing and feeling the soft dust on my arms, and felt around for the lighter. Taking it from the dress pocket, I put the candle and looked around. There were brackets with no torches in them. Instead, I fixed the candles one after the other into the bracke

  • The Nameless Luna   THE END

Lucas’ POVSpending my mating night in a hospital room was definitely not part of the plan. I kept my gaze on Serena who lay on the bed, her face was pale, her breathing weak. I sat beside her, gripping her hand. My heart hadn’t stopped racing since she collapsed.I could still hear the way she gasped before falling. The fear that ripped through me. The way my entire body went cold when she didn’t wake up no matter how much i shook her.I exhaled slowly, squeezing her fingers. “Serena,” I murmured, but she didn’t move. The door slammed open.“Elijah?” I turned just in time to see him storm inside, his jaw was clenchedas his eyes burned with rage.“Outside with me," he said and left. I stared at Serena for a while before leaving. "What the hell happened?” he asked as soon as we got out.I stood. “She collapsed during the ritual. The physician is—”“You let this happen?” He stalked closer, his fists clenched. “I warned you, Lucas. I warned you if anything happened to her—”“I didn’t let

THIRD PERSON POVThe room was quiet that the steady beeping of the monitor felt too loud. Lucas hadn’t moved from his chair in hours. Elijah had arrived at the hospital just a few minutes ago but they hadn't said a single word to each other. He stood by the wall, arms crossed, his expression unreadable as he watched Serena. The physician’s words kept replaying in Lucas’ head. "She might not survive… If she does, she may lose all her memories this time."Lucas never prayed, but he had that night. He had begged whatever force existed not to take her away from him. He had done everything wrong, but losing her wasn’t something he could bear.Elijah exhaled heavily. “She'll be fine,” he muttered mostly trying to convince himselfLucas didn’t respond. His hand rested on Serena’s, his thumb running over her cold fingers. 'Wake up,' he wanted to say. 'Open your eyes, tease me, glare at me—just do something.'He was so scared she'd slip into a coma again. Just when he finally got her back. The

Lucas's POV I had had enough of Eliana and her father!Even after everything, they only manipulate Serena and paint me the bad guy? I thirsted so badly for my revenge now more than ever.I gathered my warriors and prepared them. It's time to take her back. This time I'm the one giving them an ultimatum. The release of my mate or a bloody war. I will have Vincent's head. I will have his head!I marched down to the pack meeting room with Liam and Elijah on each side following 5 feet behind me. I knew Liam still had questions about Elijah but all will be revealed in due time. Probably after I rescue Serena from that pack. Only God knows what state she is in and what on earth Eliana had been doing to my mate. I finally got to the room and gazed at every warrior standing there waiting for me. "Warriors," I began,"We stand at the precipice of a battle. Alpha Vincent seems to take me and my pack as a joke and he has had fun playing with us. But now it's time for it all to end."I paused,

SERENA'S POV "Okay, maybe if i just.." i whispered into the dark as i switched positions in my bed. "fuck, still uncomfortable." I couldn’t sleep at all and it was past midnight by now. The thought of Lucas in that dungeon, awaiting his fate, gnawed at me all night. Everything my father had told me, everything Eliana had said, none of it felt right. Even his death sentence was wrong, although he did kidnap me, he also saved me from getting mauled by that rogue. I owe him my life and letting him die just didn't feel right. "No, he's getting what he deserves." i whispered as i turned again in bed. There was this ache inside me, a pull I couldn’t explain. I kept replaying his face when he hugged me, the way he looked at me like he had finally had a breathe of fresh air after being deprived of it for so long. And when i had walked into father's office to explain what had happened, the way he stared at me broke me for some reason. Why did he look so hurt and betrayed, he barely even kn

  • The Nameless Luna   Jeffery

LUCAS' POVI couldn’t stop myself from grinning as I walked through the gates of Vincent’s pack house. My disguise was rough, but it had to work. I was wearing a warrior’s uniform, with a mask and a fake tattooed marking that all warriors of bloodhound pack had on their arms. It was a risk, but it was the only way to get close to her.I had been waiting for this moment for what felt like forever. Three months without seeing her. Three months. Three months of constant aching, of never knowing if she was okay, of not being able to hold her, to talk to her, and spending every waking hour spent thinking about Serena. I knew I had to do something, anything, to get her back. I couldn’t just sit by anymore. Forcing my way into Blood Hound pack through war wasn't working so personally infiltrating is the better option. The plan was simple, get into Vincent’s pack. Disguise myself as one of his warriors, find my mate and escape with her. I had managed to slip in without anyone suspecting any

  • The Nameless Luna   FAILURE

LUCAS POV I sat alone in my study, the room was dimly lit as the only source of light available was from a single candle, flickering as the wind blows by. The scent of stale whiskey filled in the air, mingling with the acrid smell of burnt parchment. On my desk were maps and notes, they were scattered and I stared at them as they reflected my head right about now. Every piece on my desk detailed Vincent’s territory, his strongholds, his weaknesses—or what little I knew of them. It wasn’t enough. It hadn't been enough for the past three months. Three months of failure. Absolute FAILURE.The more days passed by into weeks and then months the more I fall straight, face flat deeper and deeper into depression. I failed Serena. The one person I swore to protect above all else. I had been too slow, too blind, and now she was gone. My heart was slowly going numb, my world grey. Nothing made sense without her with me.Funny how a person could just appear in your life and become the entire l

I had planned it all so carefully, and Elijah ruined it in the last secondI clenched my fists, my nails digging into my palms. The thought of Lucas still breathing made my blood boil. I wanted nothing more than to destroy him and everything he cared about. But now. I had another problem to deal with, ElianaShe had stormed into my room last night. She was obviously furious. I intentionally hid my plan of killing Lucas from both Eliana and Elijah because i knew they wouldn't be on board with my plan and might try to stop me. LUCAS'S POVI stepped into my room hoping, no, praying that Serena would be awake. But she wasnt. She lay there, completely still her chest rising and falling so slowly it made a knot form in my stomach. Her face was pale, her lips dry. She looked nothing like she normally does. "Open your eyes Serena." i found myself whispering as i stared at her long lashes.I moved closer, watching her, waiting for even the slightest movement. Nothing. The physicians had said earlier that she had slipped into a coma. And now all I can do now is waitWait.I hated that word. I wanted clarification on the specific time. Am i gonna have my Serena back soon? How long would i have to go without hearing her beautiful voice call my name? How long till i see her smile again? Days? Weeks? Months? A year? Elijah's POVMy body was numb, my chest burning with every shallow breath. I thought this was it. Maybe I deserved it. I stirred slowly from my slumber, feeling anything but refreshed. Exhaustion pressed down on me like an unrelenting fog, thick and suffocating. A strange tiredness pulled at me, beckoning me back to the comforting depths of sleep. With a heavy sigh, I turned over, letting the darkness claim me again. It was easier to face the dreamscape than the misery I called life.Distant murmurs began to slip into my consciousness, faint and far away, like whispers traveling through walls."Who is he?" someone whispered, their voice low but filled with curiosity. "Alpha Elijah?""Why did the Alpha Lucas bring him back? Didn't he betray us?"I blinked, my eyelids heavy and my vision blurred as I tried to focus. Shadows moved around me, but nothing came into clarity. My body refused to cooperate, and the pull of sleep was too strong. I let it take me again, the voices fading into t
