Craig’s P.O.V
My eyes never left those marks; there could be no way I was wrong about the mark. It was something I had always looked at while studying about the Sliver Blood Pack. I hadn’t met anyone in the pack myself, but I had learnt about every pack since I was the next alpha of the Moon Blood Pack. “Do you know about this mark?” Her voice sounded urgent now. Ever since she stepped into this room her heart beat had being high, but it has strangely accelerated, even though she was no longer on the chase. Finally, I took my eyes off the mark, to stare at the deep brown eyes that looked like I could easily get lost in them. “I might be wrong.” She moved closer to me. “I know you know about it. You recognized it the moment you saw it.” She tilted her head aside, “Tell me all you know about it.” I sighed. I couldn’t be bothered about her inquiries. It could only be a mistake; the last member of the pack had died twenty years ago. This lady looked nothing close to twenty, plus she doesn’t have a wolf yet, so there was no way she could be an offspring of the Sliver Blood Pack. Now knowing she was no danger to me, I moved back to the bed to continue chewing on my nut, but she continued staring at me with deep interest. “Who are you?” I asked again. I got this strange feeling from her and felt the need to know who she was. She could be someone my uncle had sent over again to confirm if I was dead. But knowing my uncle, he wouldn’t send someone without a wolf. I was too much of a threat to him. Her stomach grumbled in response. I arched a brow to her and stared at the few nuts on the bed. This was all I am having for tonight, but I thrust one towards her. She shifted on her leg before finally finding a seat beside me. She collected the nut and murmured a thank you. As soon as she started chewing, she questioned, “Do you really not recognize that mark?” Her voice was low, but she couldn’t hide the anxiety behind it. Plus, she couldn’t hide the beating of her heart from me; no one could. I could read people’s emotion through their heartbeat. I could tell if they were nervous, scared, or feeling anxious. I wasn’t sure, so I asked her to show me the mark again. She didn’t hesitate pulling her dress up to show me the mark. It was a deep black mark that opposed her fair skin, making easy to be seen by anybody. It looked like a map with little stripes on it. There was no mistaking it – it was exactly like the picture I had spent all those years studying. I was too fascinated seeing it for the first time that I had no idea I was already touching her tight, until I heard a sharp intake of breath, and her heartbeat had changed to nervousness. I pulled my hand away, “I’m sorry. How did you get this mark?” She sighed. She was done with the nut, and sat with her legs touching her chin while she wrapped her hand on her leg. I picked up one of my dried cloth and throw it on her. “You should change into something dry before you catch a cold.” I stood up, “I’ll excuse you. Call me when you’re done.” She nodded. I turned, stealing a last glance towards her tight before exiting the room. My nostril was attacked by the moody scent attached to this room. When I found this shed, I had intentionally not tried taking care of this room to make people believe it was empty. I had moved things in a way that the next room won’t be seen by others, so I was surprised when the door had opened suddenly few hours ago. “I’m done.” Her head popped from the door, and I turned back towards the room. Once I closed the door behind me, I stopped on my track. My cloth had stopped immediately after her butt, exposing her tight and mark to me. It looked slim and perfect on her that I couldn’t help but stare at her. My wolf seemed to be in agreement as he growled within. “Can we talk about it now?” her voice snapped me out of my thoughts, and I finally looked at her face. I nodded, keeping a bit of distance from her. I could tell my wolf wanted her, and it had never happened like this before. I fisted my hand in a ball, trying to get my wolf to control itself, “How did you get the mark?” She sighed, “Tonight…” her voice low and sad. “I turned eighteen tonight and was supposed to hold my mating celebration tonight, but suddenly this mark appeared on my tight. It’s said to be a cursed mark.” I frowned; this doesn’t make sense in any way. It was just as I had read about the Sliver Blood Pack; once they clocked eighteen, that mark appeared on any part of their body. It showed their legitimacy in the pack. They were the only pack with a mark, but again, they were the strongest pack before the sudden extinction twenty years ago. I rubbed my hand on my eyes, “Have you heard of the Sliver Blood Pack?” Her face metamorphosed into confusion, “Does a pack like that exist?” I nodded; I guess she couldn’t have if she was just eighteen. “Twenty years ago, Sliver Blood Pack members were infected by a deadly disease that wiped off all the members. No one knew how the disease came to be or from where, but it had suddenly happen and within few months all the members had died.” She shook her head, “Are you sure no one survived?” He nodded, “The pack members were so strong that if any survived the world would know of it.” She nodded as if she understood him. “So, what does this Sliver Blood Pack had to do with the mark?” “Oh! I forgot that important part. Every Sliver Blood member has this mark once they turn eighteen.” It was happening again; her heartbeat accelerated and she could hardly form a sentence as she opened and closed her mouth in a gasped. “You mean this is not a curse?” Who said anything about it being a curse? I shook my head. For a moment, she looked relief, before she perked up again. “Tell me all you know about Sliver Blood Pack.” Oh Mehn! What have I gotten myself into? But it was a nice change having someone to talk to; I’ve been cooped up in this room alone. I narrated the few things I have read about the pack to her, but there was a limit to what I know about the Pack. She didn’t say a word all through my narration, and when I was done, she nodded her head. “I know what to do?” I arched my brow at her; she had this new determination on her face. “What do you plan to do?” “I’m going to the Sliver Blood Pack abandoned town to see what I can find out about this mark.”Freda’s P.O.V My body ached from the lack of rest; I could barely sleep as I tossed around trying to figure out things about this newly discovered Sliver Blood Pack. I had stayed awake till daybreak. I tried to note down what Craig had told me, but I needed to know more. I needed to know if I was truly part of the pack or this mark was a cursed. If it was a curse, how was I supposed to cure it?My dress was dry, so I had changed from Craig’s shirt into the dress. “Where are you going so early?” His voice startled me. Not quite long his eyes were closed, so I had no idea he had woke up. I turned back to see his blue eyes dancing in amusement. “I’m going to the Sliver Moon Pack abandoned town.”He leaned on the bed, making no move to stand up. “And do you have any idea where that is?”I frowned. I had been more obsess with finding out things about the pack, that I had made the mistake that I only knew what Craig had told me about the pack, and the only person I knew right now that
Freda’s P.O.V The gush of fresh air hit my face, making me inhale deeply. Unlike the last time I stepped here, the land was dry now, making the green of the grass bright and the floor sandy under my feet. I looked towards the left and right, having no idea which place led to my home. “That’s the way towards Sun Blood pack, and that…” he pointed towards the opposite of the Sun Blood Pack, “is the way towards our unknown destination.”I frowned, “How did you know?”He pulled a small bag from behind him, and brought out a small paper he started studying, “Thankfully, I have the smaller version of our map. It’s an old edition, so it also contained the Sliver Blood Pack abandoned town. Are we going to move or do you have more question?”I shook my head following him as he headed towards that direction without waiting for my response. Soon, the floor became less sandy and started filling up with more rocks. The green leaves that I had been taller than, started sprouting higher, making it
Craig’s P.O.V “You’re a healer.”My eyes trained on the lady staring at me. Her eyes shone light blue, something similar to mine but different. I have read about the Sliver blood pack, but I didn’t read anything about them being a healer, but again, the things I had read about the pack was limited because I had thought them to be extinct. She moved backward and unconsciously sat on the floor, her gaze so focused on her hand. “Ho… How?” She spluttered in confusion. I sat up, wishing I have some of the collection of books that sat in my library back at home here with me. It would be a good time to research if this power was associated with the Sliver Blood pack or it was something unique to her. Firstly, it was rare to see a healer and any pack would do anything to have a healer in their midst. I held her hand before she could protest, “What did you do?”Her gaze moved to her hand and back to my healed arm. She opened her mouth and closed it back, saying nothing. I picked up the s
Freda’s P.O.VI ran. There was nothing chasing me, but rather there was something calling unto me. A white wolf sat at the edge of a cave; the cave was located at the end of a mountain, and it seemed like a difficult place to stay. It seemed any movement from it might make it fall; yet, it looked like the wolf was calling to me to help. My legs carried me as fast as it could until I was standing close to the cave – that was when I saw the lines surrounding the cave – there was broken line and any mis-step will make it fall. I groaned testing my leg on it and moved back as it shook. The wolf remain seated staring at me with deep blue eyes – help me. I frowned. It hadn’t open it’s mouth but I could hear it speak to me. I looked around for anything or anyone to help us, but we were all alone. ‘Help me, so I can come to you.’ She said. Her voice full of anguish in my heart, and seeing it trapped the way it was brought tears to my eyes. Suddenly, the world started shaking. There was
Craig’s P.O.VThe scent of hers filled my head, and I pulled her closer. Her lips full in mine and yet I couldn’t get enough. I placed my hand on her waist to hold her close to me, while the other rested at the small of her back. She moaned in my mouth, and the sound sent a thrill down my blood to my cock. I haven’t felt like this before. I feel like consuming her, but I didn’t want to rush her. I took it slow. I felt her hand in my hair, and I groan. My hand moved to her tight; I felt the mark she so wanted to know about. It felt warm under my palm, and it felt as if it was always meant to be part of her. My hand traced it, slowly. But then she pushed me away. She stepped back, taking in a deep breath. Her lower lip was swollen from the kiss, while her cheeks flushed red, probably from embarrassment. Somehow while we were kissing, she had dropped the knife. She picked it up, apologizing. I turned away from her, trying to relieve myself of the boner I have around her. How was I
Freda’s P.O.VThe air felt husky, and my throat was as dry as a dessert. I’ve never gone this far without water, so it was a very strange feeling. Yet, I widened my eyes, and I held my knife the way Craig had taught me, while my gaze slowly moved to those that had suddenly surrounded us. They were five this time, and I had a feeling it would be difficult for Craig to beat this group all alone. I might have only learnt about swinging my knife, but I would rather die than watch him fight alone. One of the wolf, who was slightly dressed up than the others, stood upright – the others maintained a fighting stance – and addressed us.His gaze moved slowly from Craig to me, but this time not in lust, but something like curiosity. His gaze stopped at Craig as he questioned, “Who are you?”Craig, ever the guarded guy, frowned at his question, “I could ask you the same.”The guy chuckled, “You’re on my territory. And no one passes through here without answering to me.”I looked around. There
This was the night; it was the night I had waited for all my life. I had counted the days and time until this particular moment. I stood before the mirror, smoothing out my long blue dress; it was my choice for my birthday and mating celebration. I had always thought of blue as colors that represent perfection; which meant tonight would be nothing but perfection. My eighteenth birthday, the night I’d finally find my mate, and begin my journey as a united pair. And probably start my role as the future Luna of our pack; the Sun Blood Pack. Adrian, the next alpha of our pack was rumored to be my match. Every female’s dream, but specifically mine because he was the one person I’ve been crushing on. As I gazed at my reflection, a shiver ran down my spine. This was it. The start of my new life. But as I turned to leave, a searing pain shot through my tight. I gasped, clutching at the spot. A bold, crimson mark had appeared on my tight. I parted the slit of my dress, and stare at the mark,
