Gunner.

“Stop it” Zee shouted.

The little table in front her lifted off the ground. Holy fucking shit, this is her, Zelena is doing this. The bookshelves and everything on them started to shake. I could feel this dull vibration coming from Zee.

“Stand up! Stop doing that, both of you please get up” she shouted as she sobbed.

In a snap all the shelves on the bookshelf broke in half sending everything falling to the ground, they hit the floor and then started to float around the room, circling us. Mum and dad stood up next to Artemis, out of the path of the flying books. I grabbed Zelena’s shoulders hoping to calm her down but instead felt a deep fear flow through me.

“Please, I don’t want this, I just wanted a family” she cried.

I thought I was going to be sick, my body felt heavy but my head was airy and light. I wrapped my arms around Zelena, and I nearly pulled away from her. A darkness fille

Please stop giving both perspectives of the same exact story. It’s a waste of our coins and a total cash grab.

Gunner.I walked through the bedroom door, closing it behind me. Zee was sitting on the armchair under the window with the pack histories book on her lap. She looked up at me and smiled.“Hey beautiful” I said laying on the bed.“You were gone a while” she said softly.“Sorry, just making arrangements”“Are you going to like, I dunno, just go and pick him up?”“It may not be that simple Zee”“Why not?”“What if he fights back? Or what if he is a Were? There’s a lot we have to account for”“Oh”.She bit her lip and looked back down at the book. She smelt a little anxious and sad. I rolled onto my side to watch her read.“Found anything interesting?”“A few things, I can’t believe how far back this book goes. You have your entire history laid out right here in front of you. Gunner. We made it to the cabin in good time, it was not yet midday and Hank was still out cold. Dad really knocked him good. Spartan threw Hank on the ground and went inside, emerging again with a handful of shorts. Dad, Cole and I all changed back and pulled on the shorts Spartan threw us. Dad grabbed Hank by the ankle and dragged him into the cabin. Cole and I followed and we all made our way to the underground cell. The cell is like an old basement that was re-engineered a little. The walls are covered in sheets of thick iron and the floor was concrete. There’s a sink and toilet in one corner and a small metal bedframe with a dirty mattress in the other. No windows and only the one door secured with round metal bars. It doesn’t get used much, mainly for roaming Omega’s that cause drama. Maybe the occasional feral. We put Hank on a steel chair and chained his arms and legs down. I got a bowl of water from the sink and threw it over him. He c

Zelena.I reached my arm behind me but there was nothing there. I pushed myself up and looked at the other side of the bed, no Gunner. The slit in the curtains revealed the sun was only just starting to light the sky. Gunner was gone already, gone to get my father. The thought sent a lump to my throat and a pain to my stomach. Oh god, my father. I slumped my face back into the pillow and groaned loudly. I really hope he can tell us something about my mum or about me. Any info on this goddess thing will be accepted.Wait, I flew up on the bed. Training with Artemis today. Why am I excited by that? I mean it could turn out to be the one thing in my life that I can actually control, right? Considering my hormones, my species, my unknown past and basically my entire future are all out of my control. I could maybe have just this one thing.I sat up on the bed and swung my legs over the side. As I let my legs hang there, I closed my eyes and listened to my body. It fe

Zelena.“Come on” Smith said sternly. I grabbed his hand and he pulled me up, the skin of my hand where he touched me felt hot.“Come on where?” I asked,“Gunner is calling for you”“Why wouldn’t he just flash me himself?”“You can ask him that yourself”“We’re going to see him?”“It’s time to see your dad”“Oh” the bottom of my stomach sank and I felt nauseous instantly. Still holding my hand Smith went to pull me out the door. I quickly pulled my hand from his and knelt down in front of Artemis taking his hands in mine. He was shocked and clearly uncomfortable about my action.“Thank you, Artemis” I said softly. He squeezed my hands a little and nodded,“Yes, my Goddess”“Again tomorrow?” I asked hopefully,“Yes tomorrow”

Zelena.I clung on to Gunner’s arm as we walked slowly down the stairs to the cell. I turned and buried my face into his chest.“Don’t leave me” I whispered.“Never” he wrapped his arms around my shoulders and squeezed me tight. We got to the bottom of the stairs and found Spartan waiting by the cell door. He looked at me and his body tensed, a deep growl came from the back of his throat. Gunner growled and Spartan snapped his eyes to him and shook his head.“I’ll be upstairs” he huffed, as he walked by his huge chest brushed against my arm and a small whimper fell from my mouth. He growled again and Gunner stared him down until he was up the stairs.“You’re not making this easy on everyone” he said brushing his lips against my neck. A move that would usually get my legs shaking but I couldn’t focus on anything other than the cell door. I stepped f

Zelena.I blinked my eyes open and looked about the room, I was back at the pack house in mine and Gunner’s bedroom. I sat up on the bed, where was Gunner. I swung my legs over the side of the bed just as the door opened.“Oh, Zee you’re awake” Gunner rushed over and kneeling in front of me, he buried his face into my stomach and wrapped his arms around my waist. I brushed my fingers through his hair and little shots of electricity ran up my arms.“How long have I been out?” I asked,“Coming on five hours now, Artemis said you wore yourself out” he replied looking up to my face. I grabbed his cheeks and kissed his forehead. I looked into his worried silver eyes and he stared at me with his usual ador

Gunner. Her body slowly lifted off the ground, just like she was flying. Can Zelena fly now? Hank mumbled something and started shaking his head, clearly as surprised as me. Suddenly the legs of the chair he was on folded underneath him. His painful scream hurt my ears.“You killed my mother” Zelena screamed. I looked back at her and she had her hands outstretched towards Hank. She was doing something funky with her fingers, moving and flexing them weirdly. Hank continued to scream and cry in pain. I was frozen, I couldn’t understand what was happening right now. My eyes shot from Hank to Zelena and back again. A violent and powerful rage started boiling up from inside me. I felt a heaviness in my legs, like I was being pulled into the ground. Of course. It hit me like a freight train. She’s using her powers on Hank.“Zelena stop” I called to her, stepping forward. I needed to calm her down, to take her focus

Gunner.I pushed open the hall door and walked in. The faces of the men turned to look at me but quickly went back to their conversations once they realised it was just me. Mazz and Julian were here as well as four others, the commanders. Smith sat quietly at the back corner of the room. He was avoiding eye contact with me, he must still be embarrassed about his reaction to Zelena’s heat. I stood at the head of the table and cleared my throat loudly.“Settle down, let’s get things started” I called to them.“Thanks pup, but we’ll wait for the Alpha” one of the commanders spat with a sarcastic laugh. I think his name is Jackson.“The Alpha is on the way, in the meantime I will be leading this meeting” I said sternly.“Pfft” the commander turned his back to me and went back to talking to the others. His disrespect and arrogance made my blood boil. Mazz and Julian were

Gunner It’s been three months now since the battle. Three months of helplessness and pain. Everyone is telling me to keep pushing on and to throw my all into leading the pack. But it’s hard, and it’s getting harder each day. Cole has been great with the pack, helping where he can. I appreciate everything he is doing but it’s just not right. I thought that I would have Zee beside me, helping me. I thought we were going to do this together. We lost thirty-six wolves in total. Two from Blue Moon and one from Crescent Wolf. A group service was arranged to bury our dead and a huge black marble boulder was brought in to hold a memorial placard. Mum and some other she-wolves arrange a garden area and small benches to surround the boulder, making a nice area to sit and mourn. I haven’t had the strength to go there yet, but I can see it through the trees from my office window. I find myself often staring at it mindlessly. Alpha Titus of Crescent Wolf

Zelena.I am going to rip this piece of shit hunter to pieces. I threw forward my arm sending another hunter flying through the air. Tobias growled and snapped at the hunters, the heated fury coming from his body was only increasing my own anger. I was about to go for another hunter went I felt a presence in the clearing. A blur of dark grey fur ran into view and headed toward the fighters. Tobias’s head lifted and turned to the wolf and his ears pricked up, he knows this wolf. The wolf lunged onto a hunter and ripped his head clean off before grabbing hold of the next one. A muffled sound echoed over the humming gunfire and I searched for its source. My eyes landed on a sight that filled me pride and lust.Gunner’s knees wrapped around the hunter's head as he gracefully threw his body through the air, landing in a crouching position. My eyes snapped to the hunter in front of him, pointing his gun at Gunners face. I felt my skin burst into

Zelena. After cutting the power to the pack house at the switch box, the village was now dark. A small glow from the direction of the driveway, told me that the loud bang I heard a few minutes ago was an explosion. I stood in the clearing that Gunner had marked out for me. Tobias stood next to me in his wolf form. Four of his fighters were surrounding us, also in their wolf form. I feel like I should change as well, but I haven’t used my power as a wolf yet. I don’t even know if I can. My best bet is to stay as human.A startled yelp escaped my lips when gunfire rang out around us. Shit, here we go. Tobias nudged his head against my shoulder.*I got you little one*I looked up at him wide eyed. He flashed me, how did he flash me.*We can flash?**I assumed as much, being your guardian and all that, we have to be able to communicate*

Gunner. This is bad, Zelena needs help. I went to run for the house but the pain in my shoulder slowed me. Damn fucking bullet. I snapped my head back and changed back into my human form. I looked down at my bloodied shoulder. The skin was torn open and peeled back by seared flesh. It was dark red and still bleeding. It’ll be fine, worry about it later. I held my arm in place across my chest. The same large grey wolf came up beside me and held out its hind leg. He growled and huffed, nodding his head to the leg. I hadn’t noticed before but there were a pair of shorts tied to his ankle. Smart idea, I’ll have to remember that. I grabbed the shorts and pulled them on with one hand. We ran for the pack house side by side and I kept pace with this wolf no problem. As we neared the tree line, the ringing of gunfire at the house was indisputable. We burst through the trees and I could clearly

Gunner.“They’re here, I saw them. They'll be at the borders any minute” Zelena rushed out. She flashed me pictures, I saw the hunters converging on the borders and an aerial view of forest around our village and the coast in the distance. She had another Drakos vision. Excellent. They were definitely closer than we predicted, they had to be only minutes away from the borders now.*Cole report**They are at the edge southern border, heavy weapons and high numbers of soldiers**How close?**Two minutes maybe less*An explosion, a loud bang and the sound of bursting tyres brought me out of my flash with Cole. Gunner. “We have this section of forest secure, the tree cover will give our fighters a boost. We have blocked any through path here and here. This section of the forest was near on inaccessible, we have downed a few trees to make sure that nothing can get through”. Rex my eldest commander was pointing out the parts of the forest on the map as he spoke. He’s a great Were, strong and capable. It will be a hard hit to the pack the day that he retires. “I have traps set here and here for any incoming vehicles. More traps are set along this section of the border. The exterior of the pack house is secure and the village has been rigged here, here, here and here” Felix pointed out the cabins in the village and the other parts of the pack land. He has done very well in the limited amount of time he had. I like his initiative, his work ethic and his focus. He is a high contender for the top commander position after Rex. “I want Zelena to stay in the

Gunner. “No, we need to spread them out more, here” Cole said pointing to a section of the forest on the map that was splayed out on the table. “We already have two battalions in this area, they can cover that ground as well” I replied. “Yes, but now we have the extra wolves to utilise and that forest area is thick, they could use the additional eyes” Cole rebutted. Cole has taken to his new official role as Beta wolf with ease. We always knew that he’d become the Beta at my ascension, but doing the job and training for the job are two different things. I trust him one hundred percent and that’s why I’m letting him argue his point, even if the Alpha’s word is final. “Okay, I hear you. Place another ten there and there, others here and here” I agreed as I pointed at parts of our borders on the map. “Son” I heard dad’s voice from the door behind me. I spun around to see him and nodded for him to continue. “The Bl

Zelena.“Come and see them off, they’ll want to see you” Dad said before disappearing back through the door.Gunner took my arms from around his neck and kissed my hand before leading me out onto the porch. The village looked empty, I could see men and wolves gathered at the tree line towards the edge of the clearing. A few more people were headed to the front of the house, but there were no happy voices or laughter. No sounds of kids playing, or the smell of food cooking. Nothing.Gunner and I headed around to the driveway while the others went back to their preparations. The first bus was already loaded and ready to go, the second was still putting bags in the storage hold. Roe was standing with two men, assisting them with the bags. A lot of men were standing waving up to the busses, both older and younger men, fathers and their sons, I guess. A few strong looking women were

Zelena. As I stomped back down the stairs, I found Gunner talking with Tobias, Cole and a man I hadn’t seen before. He was a bit shorter than Cole and a lot older, but still clearly very fit and in good shape. His long light brown hair was tied back in a ponytail and his beard was well kept. As I reached the bottom step, all men turned to face me. Their faces were blank, but I could feel the tension in the air around them.“What’s going on?” I asked walking to Gunners side.“Smith is headed back, he reached the Crescent Wolf pack” Cole paused,“And? Are they coming too?” I questioned. Cole looked to Gunner and the new man and back to me, his eyes dropped a little.“Not exactly” Gunner inserted.“Hello Luna, I’m Patrick, I've come from Crescent Wolf” the new man spoke, his voice somewhat breaking the awkward silence.“Hello sir” I
