After a few more moments, I heard the door to my suite finally open and I could hear someone enter the room. Before she walked around the corner of the wall, however, I heard the door close first. I wondered what she was doing or even possibly thinking about. Usually, Dani would just try to burst her way into the room, trying to push her way past Maxwell to get to me so she could give me a piece of her mind. Knowing this, she did not do that today. So, when she finally walked around the corner, she just stood there and studied our Mate who was still sitting up on the bed.
