She couldn’t be serious.

There’s no way.

There’s absolutely no way Niylah was serious. It almost sounded like she intended to pursue things with Liam right after I ended things. Did she have no shame? No remorse at all? I know I said that she should find someone better, but I didn’t mean that same night. It’s not my fault this happened.

Besides, we had that moment with the granola bar and water. She laughed and came out to thank me for the thoughtful gesture. I thought maybe things could go back to something less complicated. Something easier to manage! Sure, she may not have known it was I who had given her the food, but her thanks had been directed towards me nonetheless. So why did she want to part ways now?
