HENRY'S POV

I burst through the door, running inside the house. My body was reacting strangely, feeling hot inside while shivering. I stripped off my clothes, revealing my naked chest, and collapsed heavily on the couch.

I felt the same way as I did a few hours ago when I met that girl.

Maybe she could be my mate.

I'm celebrating my 22nd birthday soon, and I've had my wolf since I turned 18. Since then, I've been searching for my mate.

My urge for her grew stronger the moment I saw her, leading me to seek solace in other females.

My dad took his time to explain how you feel when you first meet your mate, and since today, I'm having the symptoms.

It's funny how my wolf groaned when I set my eyes on the strange girl.

I just met her today, and my wolf is already craving her.

It's evident in her demeanor; she's a mere omega.

I wonder how she gained admission to our school.

Liam gave her my favorite jacket today, which prompted me to get closer today.

I wanted to follow her to her hostel to retrieve my jacket, but my wolf kept growing restless.

If I stayed near her for one more minute, my wolf might take control over me and do something reckless.

Tomorrow, I will make sure to control myself and find out if she's truly my mate.

I heard the creak of the door, and Liam entered with a determined expression.

I've done him a real messed-up thing by taking the car home while his wallet is inside, and he also did me dirty by giving my favorite jacket to a random stranger.

"Why'd you bring the car home when you know my wallet's inside?" He screams, catching me off guard.

I sit back on the couch.

"Tell me more about it. You gave a stranger my fav jacket today, and you don't want me to do the same? Are you kidding?" I retorted.

Liam grabs a cigarette and lights it up.

"But she is in need of it, can't you see people are mocking her," Liam said.

"Then the same goes for me. I needed to come back home early, that's why I brought the car, and I had no idea your wallet was inside," I fibbed.

Liam has been my buddy since we started elementary school.

His mom was a wolf, and his dad was from a rival pack.

Their pack rivalry tore them apart.

That's why my dad agreed to raise Liam from birth.

"Liam!" I called out.

"She's an omega. Why?" He replied.

“Yes, I can sense it by the way she was bullied and humiliated on her first day at school,” I retorted.

Sadness washed over me.

I couldn't fathom being mated to a mere omega.

Even if I accepted, my parents would never approve.

There's no law supporting love for an Omega.

"Is she your mate?" Liam asked.

I furrowed my brows.

"Why did you ask?" I inquired.

Liam smiled.

"You're interested in her which isn't like you unless there's something special about her," he explained, and I took a deep breath.

“I'm still doubting if she is my mate or if it's just my curiosity, but I will confirm tomorrow,” I stated.

“If she is your mate, will you reject her?” Liam asked.

I narrowed my eyes.

“Can you see me, a powerful Alpha engaged to an Omega?”

"Are you sure your wolf can resist that?" He inquired, rising and grabbing the car key from the table.

"Once I reject her, then everything will be sorted," I affirmed, and he nodded.

"I'm coming," he stated before heading out. I didn't need to ask where he was going; I already knew.

Liam grew up as an orphan, despite my parents raising him, it didn't change his background. He showed his gratitude by visiting the orphanage, and the kids there adored him.

I accompanied him a few times, but I eventually stopped going for my own reasons. I sank into the couch, hand on my forehead, weighed down by the thought of rejecting my mate. If I confirmed she was my mate, I wouldn't hesitate to reject her.

NIYLAH'S POV I swiftly turned my head to the other side, hoping she wouldn't notice me, but it seemed she already saw me because I could hear her scoff from where I stood. In the midst of not knowing where to sit, it felt like the whole class was against me. "Niylah, come sit here," Nova's voice called out, and I shifted to her side. She gestured to the seat beside her, and I nodded before walking over to sit beside her. "So, your name is Niyla," Liam remarked as I passed by him. I nodded before taking my seat beside Nova. I placed my notes on the table, feeling the heat seeping out of my body as the lecturer began the class. The topic felt oddly familiar to me; I had been researching my department's work ever since I got admission to this school. As a business student, studying felt like second nature to me. If they gave me an exam today, I'm sure I wouldn't fail. I listened carefully to the lecturer, absorbing every bit of knowledge. Learning never ends, right? As the

HENRY'S POV Sinking into the couch, I felt the weight of rejecting my mate. Thoughts swirled, a relentless storm. Ivory's knock broke the silence. "What brings you here?" I asked, my tone flat, preoccupied. Ivory's entrance once captivated me—seductive, confident. Now, it felt hollow. Her perfume wafted through the air, but my senses remained numb. "I came for you," she said, her eyes locking onto mine, searching for a spark. My mind belonged to Niylah. Guilt crept in; Ivory was my former distraction, now a wrong choice. "Liam's waiting," I lied, standing abruptly. Ivory's expression fell, but she quickly recovered. "I'll leave." Relief washed over me as she departed. My life teetered on the edge of dramatic change. Niylah lingered in my thoughts, a constant hum. Liam's words echoed: "Can your wolf resist that?" Restless, my wolf carved Niylah's presence, a primal call. Gazing out into the night, city lights twinkled like stars, but my mind wandered. Questio

NYLAH'S POV. I wonder why Alpine pretended as if she hadn't met me before. When I was coming home, I encountered her on the way, and she completely ignored me. Even though I wondered why, I'm still happy. I'm tired and suffocated, just one class, and I feel like I've attended three classes. I took off my clothes, leaving only my bra and panties. I walked to my closet, planning to bring out a dress when I heard a knock on the door. I knew it would be no one but my three small gods. If I decided to change before I opened the door for them, I might as well face a penalty from them. I walked to the door and opened it, but I met what I wasn't expecting. “Hi,” the stranger said, I faxed from his leg down to his head, wondering who he is here for. But I know it will be either Ivory, Hilda, or Nova. "Who are you here for?" I asked, I haven't seen his face before, but instead of him answering me, his gaze was only on my body, and that's when I remembered I was only in my panties

I knew I had to protect her, no matter the cost. After class, I decided to check on Niylah, my instincts screaming that something was off. I arrived at her dorm, my heart pounding in anticipation of the worst. The door creaked open, and my fears were confirmed. Jack had Niylah pinned against the bed, his hand up her skirt. Rage boiled within me, my vision blurring red. I wanted to kill him. But I kept my cool, my voice low and menacing. "Leave her alone." Jack sneered, but fear flickered in his eyes. Niylah's gaze met mine, filled with gratitude. "Thank you," she whispered. For a moment, I forgot about everything else. Forgot about Ivory, forgot about the danger. All I saw was Niylah. I watched him disappear into the crowd, feeling both relieved and confused. What was that spark I saw in his eyes? Why did he save me? I shook my head, pushing the thoughts aside. Jack stood up, adjusting his belt, and I followed suit, instinctively covering myself with my hand. For some reason, my gut told me Nova(my roommate)would blame me. When she burst into the room, her anger directed at me, she demanded, “What's going on here?” “I don't know.” I tried to explain, tears streaming down my face, hoping Nova would believe me. You think I will force myself on this dirty pig?” He then turned to me, his eyes cold, “Find proper

Henry’s POV. I plopped down on the couch, glaring at Liam, who returned the look with pure hatred. I know he can't stand Ivory, but that's who I love. I love Ivory, and I can't imagine letting her go for anything. The same goes for Liam; he's my best buddy, and I don't want anything to come between us. He's always told me to stop bringing Ivory around, but I don't think that's possible. I can't push Ivory away from me. I might only have Ivory for my sex desire, but she's the only one who truly satisfies me, creating a special place for her in my heart. I know Liam had a lot on his mind, trying to figure out where to start, and I was in the same boat. I don't get why he had to bring up that dirty pig. I heard him clear his throat and sit properly on the couch. "Henry," he called, and I raised a brow. "How many times do I have to tell you not to bring Ivory to this house? Seeing her at school is enough," he said, his eyes blazing. "And why's that? Why do you hate her so much? What

Niylah’s POV. It was getting late as the dark sky started to take control over the white sky. Ivory drove us home, and we both kept quiet without saying a word. When she mentioned she's Liam's mate, my hatred towards her began to grow. I know there's no need to hate her since my opinion isn't even needed in her life. But I still can't believe she can be so cruel. My first impression of her was that she's a good person and different from other girls, but her behavior proved me wrong. I wonder if self-consciousness isn't bothering her. How can someone be so cruel and date their mate's friend? Thinking about it, the person she was dating was my mate. I should be the one feeling angry, but I'm not. Even though I know my mate will end up hating me, that's okay. It's truly painful, but I have no power to change it. I wonder how Liam handle seeing Ivory and Henry together, his best friend and mate getting cozy. It hurts and feels disgusting. I just found out today that my mate isn't

She had always been the Omega—the weakest, the underestimated, the one who bore the brunt of others' expectations and their scorn. Every day had been a battle against the tides of her reality, a struggle to carve a place for herself in a world that thrived on hierarchy and dominance. As Sophia’s revelation twisted around us, I could scarcely grasp the gravity of what she had confessed. The air crackled with uncertainty, but behind it all was a thread of betrayal that hung heavily in the silence. It ricocheted through each moment, wrapping the three of us in a storm.“She disguised herself as Evelyn,” I thought, the notion too surreal to digest. “Why would she go to such lengths?”Every detail felt like an incomplete piece of a broken puzzle I strained to assemble. This woven narrative hung precariously, every new thread threatening to unravel the ties that bound us together.“You played Evelyn,” I finally managed to voice, disbelief still clinging to my words. It felt surreal, as though I were watching a play unfold rather than witnessing the reality standing before me. “Why would you put yourself in that position? Why hide in plain sight?”“I did it for you!” Soph

Liam's POVThe night air felt heavy, charged with emotions still pulsating from the earlier confrontation. Sophia’s voice drifted through my consciousness like a haunting melody, testing the strings of loyalty and trust. She stood before Niylah and me, a woman who’d carried the weight of being our beta and yet had slipped in her duty to protect the very foundation she held dear.“But you think you can just... pull the wool over our eyes and pretend it’s for our own good?” The words were out before I had fully processed them. I felt a mix of anger and disbelief at her veiled intentions, but there was an underlying concern—what else lay hidden behind those secrets?“I thought I was doing what was best!” She cried, small and earnest, the vulnerability in her reflection stirring something inside me. “I know I’ve made mistakes; I laid a path of betrayal. But I wanted to shield you two from the turmoil happening outside our borders.”In that moment, I felt the weight of my initial fury shi

As the moon painted the clearing in ethereal light, I could hardly believe the chaos that had descended upon us. Sophia's words swirled in my mind, but the anger within me felt justified. The betrayal was fresh; it still stung like an open wound. Why had she kept us in the dark? It was unfathomable. Trust was the foundation of our pack, and now those foundations seemed to be cracked and crumbling.“Betrayal,” I echoed Sophia’s words. “That’s what it feels like. You were meant to stand by us, to protect us. Instead, you chose to act secretly.”“Could you not see that it was for our safety?” She looked at me imploringly, and I could see the tremor in her hands as she spoke. Maybe I was too harsh; Sophia was our beta, and she wore that responsibility heavily. But that didn’t excuse her silence.“We’re all carrying our own burdens, Sophia,” Liam’s voice was steady, c
