Lady Vienna had gone to the royal palace the next day as Princess Avelina invited her for an afternoon tea.
Lady Vienna opened her fan and smiled at the delicate princess, “You were not sending me letters so I was worried your highness.”
Princess Avelina laughed cheerily, “Oh, I’m doing fine. Prince Mathias and I are doing lovely preparing for our wedding.”
Lady Vienna nodded, “That’s great. I am happy for you Princess Avelina. You’re going to be the most beautiful bride in the kingdom.” She said honestly.
Which is true, Lady Vienna really loves how lovely Princess Avelina is. At first, she admits that she felt a bit awkward and wanted to push her away since she's the heroine of this story but she realized she's not her competition. It's fate that is her enemy.
I mean, it’s not Pri
The princess then chuckled, “I don’t want to tell you the reason. But it’s a good thing you are smart, Lady Vienna. I honestly don’t want to do it…but the maids are watching,” she said. Lady Vienna’s head thought of one reason for it and bravely asked, “Was it the crown prince?” The princess nodded, “If you don’t end up dead right now, I’ll be expected to get tortured later, but I don’t have regrets. Run, Lady Vienna. He’ll be coming for you soon.” She looked at the princess pitily, “But what about you? I’ll help you leave-“
Huxley breathed deeply in anger, glaring at the prince. Lady Vienna smirked at the prince, not backing down. Two can play the game, Prince Mathias. “I heard you got kidnapped last time, Vienna.” He asked. Really, does he want me to get killed that much? Lady Vienna scoffed. “Duchess Donovan.” She said. “What?” The crown prince asked. “Call me Duchess Donovan. My husband called me Vienna so as respect, I expect you to call me formally, Prince Mathias.” Prince Mathias’s eyes sparkled in interest at that, “You are really sweet with your husband.” She nodded, “Yes. And about my kidnapping incident, yes it was true. But you are late on the news, Prince Mathias.”
“Help.” Lady Vienna received the letter after a few days had passed. The letter didn’t have any seal or name, but she’s sure as hell it's from the princess. She hastened in her pace and quickly readied herself. “Roxy, I’ll go to the palace.” She said to her personal maid and Roxy shook her head. “But Huxley said-“ “The princess is in danger. I need to save her.” She firmly said and grabbed her sword. She jumped out of her window and waved goodbye to her maid. She then grabbed her dress and tried to run when a pair of swords came blocking her path. She sighed and looked up to see two tall men looming over her. With the mask and the mark on their faces, it’s clear that they are one of the Rouge guild men. “Forgive me but where are you going, Duc
She scoffed, “Yes, you did. But so what? If you truly betrayed me, then I would have been dead already.” She countered. “I thought you were a bitch for stealing my crown prince in the past and I had hated you for being so pretty not doing anything but now seeing you weak, I hated you more for not fighting for yourself.” She admitted. And you have been favored by the book with a happy ending…she wanted to say that but figured she didn’t have to. Princess Avelina was just silent and smiled at her gently, “I could never compare to you, Lady Vienna. That is why you are always the talk of the town. You have always outshined me.” Lady Vienna nodded, “Yes, you will never compare to me, I've always been amazing.” She said and sighed, “If only we would have been born in a different world, we would have been great friends.” She t
Tears fell on her eyes like a waterfall and all she could feel was her heart shattering in a million pieces. She couldn’t turn back time now. To think they only had a few moments together. She didn’t even have the chance to see his face. All her memories with him suddenly started to flash in her mind. She was still in denial, desperate for him. “No, no, no. Stay with me, Raziel. You don’t have the right to be dead like that. I didn’t give you permission to die!” She yelled. The prince watched them and laughed. “What a tragedy.” Just then, Princess Avelina jumped from Ren’s arms and walked to Duke Raziel. Lady Vienna sobbed and looked at Princess Avelina in confusion. “Princess-“ “I still can save him.” And just
And with that, Duke Raziel let him go. He turned to Lady Vienna and motioned for her to follow. Lady Vienna raised her eyebrows at him. “You’re really back, after a long time of leaving me alone without informing me.” She said, slight irritation lingering in her tone. “How are you?” He ignored her sarcasm and instead said, “Tell me everything that happened while I was gone in detail.” Lady Vienna shrugged, “But you said you heard everything he told me.” Duke Raziel stopped walking and faced her, “I want to hear your thoughts.” She smirked at that, “Haven’t you missed me?” “I did. So much. But let’s talk about that later. I am filled with so much anger now that I don’t think I will have enough rational in me to control myself from burning this palace.”&nbs
Lady Vienna glared at Duke Raziel the next morning at their breakfast. Duke Raziel sensed her stare so he met her gaze but Lady Vienna huffed. Duke Raziel’s eyes widened, “Forgive me but what did I do wrong, Vienna?” She breathed hard and said, “After what happened to us that night before you left, you just left me here for days without sending a letter?” She said in anger. Duke Raziel looked around to see the maids hearing what she just said and they ran off. “Can you quiet down, Vienna.” “Something happened between you two?” Asked Huxley, looking at the both of them back and forth as his eyes sparkled with interest. Lady Vienna huffed and Duke Raziel sighed, “I did my best to quickly finish my matters regarding the citizens of Xynnar. And ab
It all happened suddenly. Lady Vienna was just sleeping peacefully when she felt a sharp metal grazing on the skin in her neck. She woke up with the view of Duke Raziel pointing the sword at her. “R-Raziel?” She stuttered. But Duke Raziel wasn’t replying. It was like it wasn’t him. It felt like it’s not him. Vienna, if I suddenly hurt you, please don’t hesitate to kill me.” That’s what he said last time. So did he expect this to happen? Is this part of his secrets too? But she couldn't do it. She grabbed her sword from beside her table and pointed it at him too. “Raziel, it’s me. Vienna.” She kept on saying, trying again for him to wake up from his senses. &n
