Oh, Blake, he is too cute when he is thinking really hard. I should say Kane instead. I know that he gave us a fake name when he first got here. We have given him so many hints to try and slowly let him know that we have special abilities.
As the alpha of the pack, even though I’m an omega, I can see people’s abilities. My father, who was the former alpha, has the ability too. We have passed it from each generation to the next one. Other members of the pack have special abilities too.
However, everyone in our pack has the ability to see into other people’s minds and see their thoughts. We still don’t understand how we have formed this ability, but it is also one of the reasons that we have secretly hidden ourselves for many generations.
According to our elders, other packs learned of our abilities and began to try and use them for their benefit. However, it didn’t take long for us to run in order to save ourselves. Plus, it took us a long time to feel comfortable again and to rebuild our pack, but we did.
There weren’t that many that survived, maybe 50 or so, but those few were able to find our current location. Through the years, our ancestors began to mingle with the humans once they learned how to hide our scent. We started out slowly, but over time, we have managed to form some of the largest companies in the country, and we have become rather wealthy in the process.
Some people will think that we used our powers to make us successful, but that isn’t true. Instead, we used our business knowledge and our own brains to get ahead in the world of humans. All the while, without anyone knowing our secrets.
One of the things that our ancestors wanted to improve on is our education. Instead of only a few pack members having the privilege of going to college, they have wanted all of us to go and benefit from advanced learning.
Since my family owns the college, I can easily get Kane admitted into the school even without his transcripts from his previous college.
However, I’m not going to tell him that or that I’m able to get his transcripts without anyone knowing. Well, technically, there is someone who knows, because they are the ones that gave me the information, but they aren’t going to say anything to anyone. Afterall, they are one of my pack members.
A soft chuckle escapes my mouth as I continue to look at Kane’s confused face. I guess it is about time that I should solve a few of his questions, but first I need to know what he is feeling about our pack.
I lean back in my chair and chime, “Okay. Stop thinking about it. You are too cute when you are confused.
I’ll first let you know that I actually have all your transcripts from your previous university, and before you ask, I didn’t hack the system. Well, I could have, but I don’t need to. One of our pack members works in the administration office there and he gave me the information that I need without anyone knowing. So, you can relax that your father won’t find out where you are at.”
Another soft chuckle escapes from my mouth. Oh, I could sit here all day and just watch Kane’s facial expressions change like this.
His confused look is now gone and is replaced with sheer surprise and maybe a little shock. The cute creases along his forehead makes him look so adorable, but it is when he smiles and flashes those amazing dimples that I can’t help but to smile myself.
I lean forward in my chair and rest my arms on my desk, while I lightly tap my finger on the top of my desk. “Kane, before I tell you anything else, I need to know what you are thinking about joining our pack. You have been here a month. I think it is about time for you to decide.”
Kane’s face once again morphs to one of sadness and longing. I can’t help myself as I peak into his mind and find him thinking about his family and his best friend Ben. However, I see that Kane can sense that Ben is heading towards us.
I softly add, “Ben will be welcomed too when he gets here.”
Kane instantly whips his eyes up and on me. The crease along his forehead is back.
Once again, I have confused him. I’m still amazed that he hasn’t figured it out already. Well, I guess it isn’t every day that you run across a pack that can read people’s mind.
I quickly add, “I have mind linked with Gus, and I have told him to look out for Ben. I have a feeling that he will be on a bus soon, if not already, heading this direction.”
Kane’s crease on his forehead slowly fades as he nods his head. “Yes. Don’t ask me how, but I can sense that he is heading this direction.”
I nod my head. “That is his ability. He can sense where people are at, which also is a reason why he will be welcomed here with open arms even without you being here.”
He tilts his head. “Are you going to tell me how you know all this? I have never told you any of it.”
I point to Kane. “You, first. Do you want to be enrolled at our local university this next semester? And become a part of our pack? Those two go hand in hand. If you want to go back to school to learn something that you want, then you have to join the pack. I hate to be like that, but that is how I feel.”
He hesitates for a moment.
I force myself not to look into his mind and see his thoughts. I don’t want to force him to make the discussion that I want. I want him to make up his mind on his own.
Slowly, Kane nods his head. “Yes. I want to go back to school, and I will join the pack.”
I couldn’t control myself as I jump up from my seat and dash around my desk. I engulf Kane in a hug as I chime, “Yes. Thank you so much, Kane. You have made me the happiest person today.”
Kane wraps his arms around me and hugs me tight. “Thank you for everything, Wyatt. You don’t know what this means to me.”
Oh, I have an idea, but I’m not going to say anything.
With my arms still tight around Kane, I add, “We will wait for Ben to get here to have the ceremony. We don’t want to send him into a panic.”
With Kane’s head on my shoulder, he nods. “Thank you.”
Well, one big decision down. Now, it is time to address the other big choice.
I let go of Kane, and I take a small step back. I gently wipe the few tears, which I’m hoping are happy tears, from his face. I softly say, “So, what are you going to study at college?”
He slowly brings his watery eyes up to look at me. “I’m going to study medicine instead of business.”
A smile instantly spreads across my face as I nod my head. Yes. I think he will be better suited to be a doctor than a businessman or an accountant or whatever else his old pack had wanted him to be.
I can’t wait to see him in a doctor’s coat. I bet he will look gorgeous.
“I’ll let the university know to go ahead and process your admission as Blake into the department of medicine. You just missed this semester, so you will have to wait until the next one, but I think it is for the best. By then, you should have your fighting skills mastered and I’ll feel safer about letting you go.”
Kane doesn’t protest and nods his head.

Ben doesn’t how Kane has managed to go this far on his own. Ben has been traveling for a couple days now and he knows that he’s going in the right direction, but Kane is still far away from Ben. There aren’t even any werewolves in this part of the country. Well, now that Ben thinks about it, that is pretty smart on his part. Ben is assuming that Kane is planning on living and blending in with the humans. However, Kane should also know that he can’t hide his scent. Any werewolf that would come within even a short distance will know immediately that Kane is a werewolf.
Ben sighs as he sits down on a bench at the bus terminal. The next bus that heads in Kane’s direction won’t leave for another 45 minutes. He guesses this would be a good time to call Beta Malcolm.
He pulls his phone out of his pocket. He turns it on and quickly dial Beta Malcolm’s number. Ben hopes that Beta Malcolm isn’t busy. Ben usually calls Beta Malcolm at night after Beta Malcolm has gone home for the day.
Ring…..ring…..ring…..
Just about when Ben thinks that he is going to get Beta Malcolm’s voice mail, Beta Malcolm answers, “Hey, did you find anything? Is that why you are calling me early?”
Ben glances around the bus station and then the parking lot outside the window. “No. I have about 45 minutes before my bus leaves, so I decided to call you now. I don’t know if I’ll even have phone reception as I keep going.”
There are a few seconds of silence on the phone before Beta Malcolm asks, “Where are you going? Why wouldn’t there be any signal out there?”
Ben glances down at his bag and begins to absentmindedly play with the zipper. “Well, where I’m going there aren’t that many towns and it is mostly farms and country. However, if I go all the way to the end, there will be a big city there, and I’ll be fine. I still don’t really know how far I’m going.”
Beta Malcolm sighs. “I still don’t understand how you know where to go, but I’ll believe in you for now. I’m hoping that I’ll have good news soon.”
A small smile spreads across Ben’s face. “Me too.”
However, what Ben hasn’t told Beta Malcolm is that Ben won’t give Kane’s location until Kane says that it is all right. Ben thinks that Beta Malcolm may have a hint that that is what Ben plans on doing, because Ben avoids Beta Malcolm’s questions about where Ben is at or where Ben is heading. Ben doesn’t want anything to give his location away. He even bought a burner phone which is hard to trace so Beta Malcolm couldn’t get Ben’s location from Ben’s phone’s GPS.
Beta Malcolm chimes, “I have to go. I stepped out of a meeting to talk to you. I’ll wait for your next call.”
Ben looks out the window at the buses and mumbles, “Bye.”
As soon as Ben ends the call, he turns his phone off again. He glances at his watch. It is only another 35 minutes now before the bus leaves, and they should be calling the passengers soon to start boarding.
As Ben looks back out of the window towards the buses, a middle-aged bus driver is standing next to a bus and is looking at Ben. A sudden wave of fear washes over Ben as the bus driver waves at Ben and yells, “BEN!”
How does he know Ben’s name?
I still can’t understand what has happened. How can someone, who has never met me before, know who I am? As I sit on the bus, I can’t seem to take my eyes off the bus driver. My mind keeps trying to figure it out. However, the only thing that I can think of is that Kane somehow knew that I may be coming to him, and he showed them a picture of me. Nothing else explains what is happening.I finally tear my eyes away from Gus and look out the window. My mind is still trying to grasp the events for today, but what I keep jumping to is the fact that I will be seeing Kane in a few hours. Just the thought of finally getting to see him has me smiling. I also can’t stop trying to think of all the things that I want to tell him. There is one thing that I’m positive that I won’t say to him. No matter what, I’m not going to tell him anything about Mike and that witch. Oops, I mean Bambi,
I still can’t believe everything that has happened today.First, I get to go back to school and get to study what I want to study. Never in a million years would I have thought that something like this would happen to me. Then Wyatt tells me all about the pack and of the secrets associated with the pack.I’m still shocked. He has also told me that Ben has abilities which is why he can sense where I’m at. If the elders work with him, Wyatt is sure that Ben will be able to sense and locate anyone when he really wants to find them. But one of the most shocking things that he has told me is that most of the pack can read people’s minds. That blows my mind away, but then it suddenly clicks why Wyatt always knows what I’m thinking. I don’t have to even say it because if Wyatt wants to, he can just read my mind. He promises that they try to keep it to a minimum, but they do
Wyatt leads us to the head table. The pack has set up another spot for Ben at Wyatt’s table. Luckily, Wyatt’s head table has several vacant seats already. Only Beta Ford and Warrior Leader Mason have been able to sit at the table. If they have mates, then their mates would have been able to sit next to them. Then of course, Wyatt’s mate has a seat at the table right next to him, but since his mate’s death, the seat has been vacant. However, that is the seat that I’ve been using since I’ve gotten here. However, since Ford and Mason don’t have mates, Wyatt rearranged the seats a little so Ben is sitting next to me while Mason and Ford are on the other side of Wyatt. As we sit down, my mind finally begins to work again. I look around the dining hall, but I don’t see Mason or Ford. We have been able to introduce Ben to Mason when we were in the backyard earlier
I don’t even know where I am, but my wolf is jumping around in delight and is howling. I continue to let Ford pull me through the halls of the pack house before he rushes into a room and pulls me in with him. He slams the door shut and before I can say anything else, Ford captures my lips in a searing hot kiss.I have never kissed anyone before, but at this moment, I don’t care if I don’t know how it is to be done. I just want to have his lips wrapped around me. I don’t care if it is my lips, my neck or anywhere else on my body. I need those lips to be in contact with me.My wolf howls in excitement as a burning fire ignites deep inside of me. My mind keeps chanting the same thing over and over. Claim him. He is mine. With the speed of lightening, Ford suddenly has our clothes off and scattered around the room. I still don’t know how that has happened, but I’m n
I head out of the pack house towards the training grounds. However, my mind can’t stop wondering if Ben is all right. I know that Wyatt said that Ford will try to be gentle, but he couldn’t guarantee anything. He explained that when Ford’s wolf takes over that he will become more of an animal than a human. The only bright side is that we are werewolves, and we heal fast.A part of me also feels like an idiot. I never thought that there is so much to know about finding and claiming your mate. In my wild fantasy world, mates would practically run to each other and happily embrace each other. Then the dominate one would whisk the other one off his/her feet before heading to the bedroom where they make love and claim each other.I don’t know that the wolf takes over at some point and the mates become two wild beasts trying to devour each other. I don’t even know if Ben knows any of th
I know that it is only been a year since I’ve lost Phillip, but for the first time since I’ve lost him, I enjoy looking at someone. It is completely different from Phillip. When I met Phillip, I immediately could feel the pull, but with Kane, I slowly have begun to find myself excited to see him and to spend time with him in our little area of the house.Granted, I’m not looking for someone else, but I think I’ve found someone. However, I don’t want to force Kane if he doesn’t feel the same way. Plus, he is still heartbroken over that idiot mate of his claiming someone else. I still can’t believe that Mike has allowed his father and the fake woman to convince him that she is his mate. I’m sure that Kane is right that it is all for the alliance with the neighboring pack. Well, the Moon Goddess will teach them a lesson sooner or later.I take a moment to savor the view o
I’m still in shock. Wyatt has never come into my bedroom before. Why did he come in and sit on my bed today? Not only that, why was he standing in the bathroom watching me? What is going on?Now, I definitely need to find out if there is a way to block people from reading my mind. I don’t need the entire pack knowing what I’m thinking, especially Wyatt. My thoughts are interrupted with Ben’s tired voice echoing in my head. “Are you coming, Kane? We don’t have too much time before my heat kicks in again.”I glance over to my side at Wyatt as we continue to walk down the hallway in silence before I reply through the mind link, “We are coming. Don’t worry. Wait. You’re heat? Don’t you get that later, after you have mated?”Ben’s soft chuckle fills my head. “No, silly. Your first heat is
“Are you sure that Ben is in this area? I know Beta Malcolm said that our son’s mate is human, but I thought that he is at least around a werewolf pack. Do you know how dangerous it is to be a werewolf in the human world?”Ben’s mother keeps her eyes on the road as her husband continues to talk. However, even with her sharp wolf hearing, it only sounds like a low rumble. She probably should have told him about her pack years ago, but she had made a promise when she left the pack to work in another part of the country to never tell anyone about the pack. That included her mate and her child. Now, she is thinking that she should have told him about it, but she can’t change things now. However, she is so excited that her son, Ben, and Kane have found her pack. The only problem that she sees is her mate. He grew up in his pack, and he doesn’t know anything about her pack.
I want to thank everyone who has read my story. It means the world to me, for you follow along with me to the end. If you think this story is ending, I’m here to say that it isn’t. Throughout the book, I have put in the author’s notes that the second companion book in this series is already out, which is “My Mate Outside Sun Moon Pack”. It is also finished and has been marked complete. The second book focuses on Theo, Wyatt’s cousin and the Dean of a university, and Tyler. In addition, I will soon edit and post the third book in the Sun Moon pack series, which is “The Male Omega’s True Mate.” That book will focus on Finn and Tommy and their battles to over their horrific past in order to not only find their mates, but to also accept them. In addition, I’ll be working on the fourth book in the series. I’m not exactly sure what the title of it will be, but if you want to stay informed on it along with my other books
Kane POVI walk across my bedroom to the crib. Even though the baby is crying, and you can’t hear anything except him, I smile as I stop at the edge of the crib. Our first born and the next alpha to the Sun Moon pack. My pride and joy.I lean over the edge of the crib and softly coo, “Are you mad, Trey? You can’t be hungry. You just had your milk.”I gently pick him up from the crib and begin to sway back and forth, while cradling my son in my arms.“Hush, baby. You need to rest. You have to grow up to be big and strong.”However, Trey continues to cry.Knock. Knock.Still swaying back and forth, I glance up at the door. “Come in.”The door opens and Finn pokes his head into the bedroom. “Uhm, you can’t get him to calm down again?”I slowly shake my head.
I breathe a sigh of relief at seeing Alpha Marcus lying motionless on the ground. However, it is short-lived as I turn and scan the battlefield. My heart aches seeing all the injured and dead werewolves. This didn’t need to get to this point.A faint smile suddenly spreads across my face as my eyes stop at Sammy and Kane. Sammy is getting up off the ground and is completely healed. As she stands, she changes from her light tan wolf to Alpha Marcus’ gray wolf.Well, at least she is feeling well enough to use her abilities. That is a good sign.My mate is amazing. My smile slowly fades as my eyes spot Mike, who is staring at Kane and Sammy. What is Mike doing? He knows he can never have Kane again. Right. My thoughts are interrupted when the Supreme Elder calmly walks out of the trees, along with a few of the other elders, and scans around the open field.
Mike POVI slowly open my eyes. The bright sun instantly makes me squint and close them again.I’m alive.I thought I was dead.I’m sure that I was being ripped to pieces.I lift my arm to block the bright sun from my eyes as I slowly open them back up. Wait. I thought I was in my wolf form. My wolf!I mentally ask, “Are you still here with me?”My wolf slowly mumbles, “Yeah, but I need to rest.”Oh, that is a relief.I move to sit up, but pain instantly shoots through my entire body. I quickly look down at my body, trying to see how bad the damage is, but I don’t see any. Wait. Where are my injuries?I quickly touch my legs and turn them slightly, but nothing. There isn’t one injury there. My eyes quickly go to my stomach and my chest, as my hands randomly pat that a
I watch from the side of the clearing as Mike goes limp on the battleground. NO!!!I try to run towards him, but Ford’s wolf quickly bites my ear and stops me. Through the mindlink, he barks, “Ben, baby, follow the plan. We know that this could be a possibility if Mike came here, but we can’t stop now. We have to take down Alpha Marcus.”I glance back at Mike, but he is gone. The only wolf laying lifeless on the ground now is Caleb.I slowly nod my head.Through the mindlink, I announce, “It is time! Sammy, be careful. Everyone, get into position. Tommy and Finn, you need to make sure that you focus and only use your powers against Alpha Marcus.”I glance around the battlefield. Again, through my mindlink, I make an announcement to all the werewolves, except Alpha Marcus. “The future beta Caleb is dead, along with many others who support Alph
I bolt through the trees, over the boulders, and around the bushes. I move my feet as fast as I can. With each step, my heart pounds harder as the sound of battle hits my ears. The growls of victory along with the howls of pain stab my heart. This shouldn’t be happening, and it is all because of my father. His sick need to be the most powerful and have everyone bow down to him is too much. It must stop.No wonder my mother isn’t anywhere to be found. I’m sure that she couldn’t handle him either. With that thought running through my mind, I jump into the clearing. The sight that meets me is not something that I have ever wanted to see. Werewolves are everywhere and fighting to the death. The stench of blood and death is in the air.Nearby, several wolves are torn apart laying lifeless in a pool of their own blood on the ground while several other dead werewolves are sc
Wyatt POVKane and I stand on either side of the wounded beta. We take our hands off the beta as he opens his eyes. After shifting back to his human form as we heal him, he looks between my mate and me, before he asks, “What happened? I thought I was going to die.”I shake my head. “Not today. We won’t let that happen.”A faint smile dances across Kane’s face. “We brought you back, and we will heal others too as the battle continues.”Before the beta can ask anymore, I say, “Since you are back, we will go onto the next one.”Kane and I stand up and look around the battlefield, while the beta glances between my mate and me. However, we don’t get any rest, as Zee and Scott bring another severely injured warrior from one of our packs. The beta continues to sit and watch us as Kane and I take the injured black and br
I burst into the clearing. The growls and howls of battle have been ringing through the forest, but I’m still surprised when I come into the clearing. Not only is Alpha Marcus’ pack here, but all of his allies, along with all of our allies. The clearing is full of werewolves. All of them are fighting with everything that they have. Our first wave of warriors appears from the forest at the same time that Kane, Ford, Ben and I arrive. The plan is to have Kane and Ben stay along the sidelines to use their abilities to locate people and heal them if needed. The key person who we are trying to locate is Alpha Marcus.I glance around the field. I see a lot of blood and the smell of death is in the air, while fangs and claws continue to fly everywhere, but I’m not seeing Alpha Marcus yet. Before I can ask, Ben states via the mindlink, “Alpha Marcus isn’t here yet. He is on t
Mason POVWyatt has given the signal that things will happen fast now. Alpha Marcus has people trying to find out who is meddling with his allies’ companies. It is only a matter of time now. However, we still will not bring the physical fight to our pack lands. That doesn’t mean that our allies won’t see the war coming to them though. When Alpha Marcus realizes our pack is behind everything, our allies won’t be safe either.Luckily, we have come up with a plan for that. Don’s old pack is more than willing to have the physical fight on their pack lands, which is actually the best location. His former pack’s lands are at the edge of Alpha Marcus’ alliance pack lands. On the other hand, our alliance packs are located practically in a semi-circle around Don’s old pack, which is why it makes perfect sense to have the physical fight there.
