Chapter 21

Her stomach grumbled; she didn’t know where to get food since when she woke up, there was no one present. She was about to pull the IV drip away from her hands when the door to her room opened, and she was faced with her friend’s haggard face (she really must have gone through a lot). Her friend immediately rushed to her side, and she was almost crushed in the hug.

She patted her back for quite a while until she finally calmed down, but before she could ask anything, Vicky knocked her head. “Can you explain to me what crossed that little mind of yours to harm yourself?” Her voice was loud; she was greatly furious. Aurora, who was the recipient of it, looked a little sheepish. “Acting sheepish won’t answer my question. I’m waiting for the answer.” Aurora felt like her spine was already painful. “I was drugged, and to stay sane, I had to hurt myself. I’m sorry if I worried you,” she bowed down her head apologetically. Vicky passed a hand on her hair before letting out a sigh.
