Episode 2 - First Meet

Arthur's POV

“Stop, you will kill him!” and she stopped giving me a hard glare. Her eyes met mine, and at that very moment she realized what she did and stood up from him, leaving that guy on the floor who was unable to even stand. 

I called Sam and asked him to come here and get the guy. She came to me and asked “Do you know him?” her voice, so light, she is so soft-spoken just like her looks, but only if you know what this girl did a few moments back…

“I was actually searching for him, he is a criminal.” She nodded and she was really frustrated now and I didn’t realize I was staring at her. She was trying so hard to look like she is not scared, but if you look in those beautiful brown eyes, she was.

“Don’t worry, he can never be a threat to you again” and as she heard that, her face flushed like she was trying hard to think of something but failed.

She said “I...I was not thinking about that,”

I knew she was but decided to let it go. It would make her more uncomfortable and I don't want that. I want her to be comfortable with me, to trust me. 

But why? I shrugged my thoughts away.

“May I know why you were beating the shit out of him?” trying to sound funny but failed so badly that her face was now hard, she was furious,

“He was peeking in,” and that’s all she said but I wanted to know more and comfort her but Sam along with Max, Tyler, and Lukas came in and was shocked to see the body lying near us.

“Ryder is nowhere near, but maybe we would find something by this piece of shit,” Max told me and I nodded, too distracted to respond right now.  

I stepped closer to this beautiful fierce lady and asked her, “We might need some more details about this incident, so can you please give me your contact number in case we need any clue?” She was shocked and confused, the look on her face told me she was not expecting this…

“Don’t worry, I will not spam you” she giggled and said, “I was thinking about that only, but if you need any information, you can come here at the same time, I only have my official number which I cannot give so I hope you understand.”

‘Hard to get are we?’ I thought and gave her an assuring smile and started to leave but soon realized I haven’t asked her name yet. 

I turned back but she was gone by then, I thought maybe I should go back inside but that would look like I am stalking her so dropped it.

“Let’s take this piece of shit to the warehouse, shall we?” I told the boys who nodded and we all know this guy will be taking a lot to open up but I can be very persuasive.

Ava’s POV

Today I have decided I will not do anything stupid, my schedule was clear like always. 

After the office I reached my dance classes, well this is the only place where I find myself relieved and get that frustration out by burning some calories.

Well, I love music, I love dancing, I am not a great singer but I can dance well, that is my escape, the only thing that makes me forget about everything. 

I am an introvert, I don’t have many friends and my family is no more and that’s unfortunate, I was devastated when it happened. I was just 19 trying to cope up with my studies and suddenly I have no one. My family raised me well and taught me to be strong so I made my way. My friends just started vanishing and that showed me that no one was truly my friend even when I was actually giving my 100% for them and its ok but when I got to know my boyfriend cheated on me and married another girl, that was devastating. I was in depression for a long time. For me, he was the only family left and after him, I was all alone coping with my life. I struggled a lot at first but by the time I was okay. After that, I started some self-defense classes because I don’t wanna rely on anyone else for my safety.

I parked my car and entered the floor but the receptionist was again on her cell phone, more than she should be as always but I don’t wanna take it today, maybe some other day I will ask John to handle her. As I entered the class John greeted me and told me today’s song, and schedule. I was excited but that wasn’t given by my looks at all. I like the idea of people wondering what's actually in my mind. It really takes away a lot of pressure of explaining my feelings to people. When they don't see it, they don't wanna know about it.

We all started rehearsing the steps and I was indulged in them when suddenly the receptionist came in with a guy in a suit, isn’t this too fancy for this place? Well, who comes to a dance class wearing a suit? Haha, but when I saw his face, the only word on my mind was handsome. The Navy blue suit was a great fit to him, his physique was perfect with muscles and abs trying to burst out of that suit and those eyes, those pretty blue eyes were so mesmerizing. His dark brown hair was styled perfectly and in total, he was like some actor from a film or something. Every girl would drool over him and to be frank, he was attracting me, well there is no harm in looking is it?

I stopped staring at him as he was gone after that well good for me. After the dance session, I went to the washroom to relieve myself as that stupid bladder wanted me to. After I was done, I saw one man peeking, and there it was, I was angry now, god help this asshole.

I opened the gate he stumbled with sudden action of mine and I gave him a hard slap, a really hard slap, and started shouting at him.

“You Jerk, what the hell was that? I am not gonna spare you” and he pulled out something from his back which was not what I expected, A GUN, a Fucking GUN and he pointed that at me! Well let’s start, shall we?

I did what I learned from my self-defense classes, I took his hand and flipped him over on the ground which he was not really expecting. Mostly people think girls are pretty and petite and weak but I like their face when I overpower them. I was now on top of him, frustrated and angry, I started punching him, I lost count of how many punches I would have given him but I stopped by a voice.

“Stop you will kill him!” I gave that person a hard stare to not mess with me but when his eyes met mine, those beautiful blue eyes I realized what was happening, I got up and thought maybe he is with him…

“Do you know him?” I asked. Please say no please, please.

“I was actually searching for him, he is a criminal.” He said, and frustration building up in my head, and to be frank, I was scared for a moment I don’t know if he will come back and take revenge or something. I don’t know if what I did was another stupid thing.

“Don’t worry, he can never be a threat to you again,” He said, and I was embarrassed that it’s shown in my expression, well how he got that?

“I…I was not thinking about that”, I was but please let it go, please.

“May I know why you were beating the shit out of him?” he tried to make it funny but it was not, how can he joke about this? Now I feel like punching him on that pretty face.

“He was peeking in” that’s all I said, he wanted to say something but more man with similar kind of outfit came in so he didn’t. What’s up with that suit thing? Don’t they wear something casual? I would die of sweat in that outfit throughout the day.

“Ryder is nowhere near, but maybe we would find something by this piece of shit,” one of them told him and he nodded without even looking at him. He came closer to me well that was not working as he was extremely sexy and my hormones can overpower me.

“We might need some more details about this incident, so can you please give me your contact number in case we need any clue?” He asked and I was shocked and confused at the same time. Is he hitting on me?

“Don’t worry, I will not spam you.” Well, that was funny and a giggle escaped from my lips.

“I was thinking about that only, but if you need any information, you can come here at the same time. I only have my official number which I cannot give so I hope you understand.” I was trying to sound funny but what I said was true I only have one number which is my official one and I cannot just give my number to a stranger. I hoped that he would not ask again as I really have a hard time controlling my anger but he gave me a smile and I was relieved by that. He started to leave so I took the opportunity and got out of there to the class as soon as I can to avoid this awkward situation…
