Chapter three: Her beautiful cage

After everything she has been through in life, after the hardship and struggles just to die in the hands of Eric. 

Life is being so unfair to her, Eva thought. 

She hasn't been able to stop tears from flowing down her cheeks, since Eric's guards had her locked up in her dungeon, no matter how beautiful her room was she still sees it as one of the most devilish and unsafe places.

If only her brother didn't disappear with Eric's money she wouldn't be in this mess to start with.

Eva could still remember that day very vividly, the day Eric kidnapped her.

She got off work that day heading back to her little apartment when a black SUV stopped right in front of her, the men were so huge and muscular that she wasn't able to fight them off and the next thing she was knocked out.

After what felt like forever, she tried opening up her eyes however she felt some kind of tightness around her eyes. She tried using her hands to feel her eyes to know what was going on, but unfortunately she couldn't move her hands either then realization hit her that both her eyes, mouth and hands were tied.

she has been kidnapped!.

She felt confused and scared at the same time, she didn't  remember having any enemy unless she was being mistaken for someone else, she thought at the moment. 

Lots of thoughts kept coming to her mind, but nothing tangible was able to make sense to her on why she had been kidnapped. 

The only thing she could do since she couldn't think of any reason why she had been kidnapped is to wait for her kidnappers to say what they want with her. 

It didn't take much time when she felt an unusual quietness, at first she was able to hear whispers of what she guessed was her kidnappers making conversations, but right now she could hear absolutely nothing.

It was as if some kind of monster had stepped in, she felt her heartbeat race fast that it could burst open her chest at any time.

Lucy could feel her hands trembling, she has never been this scared for her life before. 

Ever since they lost their parents, she had lived life like nothing mattered to her, not even life itself, she believed that life was worthless, however at that moment all she could do was to ask for forgiveness in case it was God trying to punish her for living that way. 

“Eva Harry” she heard her name being called which startled her, however she still wasn't able to respond or see the face of her caller. 

“Where's your brother?” Eva heard the same voice asked her, Eva found the whole situation ridiculously funny. 

Firstly how does this lunatic expect her to answer his questions when her mouth was still tied up.

Eva didn't stop stressing her eyes to know if there would be any means she could at least see the face or even the legs of her kidnappers but all to no avail.

Eva sat in silence waiting for the next action, seeing that the questions asked weren't might to be answered anyways. 

Eva always has it at the back of her mind, that her brother was going to land her in big trouble one day but she never imagined it would get to being kidnapped. 

In the past years Davis has done nothing but bring trouble to her, his gambling habit has put them in lots of debts, which she has been working her ass off to make sure she pays those debts and all she gets in return is more debts.

And now the whereabouts of his brother has been asked, it means one thing that he owes this people too, but one thing that is still confusing is how much money did he owe that this people had to kidnap her?

“Untie her mouth” Eva heard the same man speak again, and immediately her mouth was untied.

“How…much..how much money does he owe? Lucy  could feel her mouth trembling as she asked, however the response she got wasn't what she had expected. 

After the man took his time to laugh at her question he then replied.

“He doesn't owe me, he stole from me and nobody steals from me, no one!” Eva could sense the anger in the man's voice, she didn't have the courage to ask more questions, but she still needed to know what will happen to her or what they plan on doing with her.

“So ….what now? …What happens to me….? Why am I being kidnapped when I wasn't the one who stole your money??” Eva asked as fast as she could with a shaky voice.

With the way everything is going, she could sense that these people are not the regular gangsters his brother deals with, there was something totally off and different about these ones.

“Every single person that works for me must have something to lose, so I see Davis doesn't consider you as something worth losing” Eva listened to the cold hearted man say to her.

Eva already knows this bitter truth, there was something about the way it came out from this man's mouth that made it hurt more than it should, and she could feel a string of tears struggling it's way down her cheek, but right now isn't the time to feel hurt she needs to get out of here first.

Lucy was lost in her thoughts, however was brought back to reality by the sound of the door, someone is coming inside her cage.

She was less concerned, she was still numb from the whole incident that occurred earlier.

A young lady entered the room holding a tray of food.

“Ma’am, I brought you food,” she heard the tiny voice say.

Lucy  was forced to turn towards the door, no need taking out her anger on the maid after all they were all Eric’s hostages.

“Thank you Tessa, can you leave them at the table? Eva said softly.

Tessa did as she was asked and left the room immediately no one wants to be in trouble more than they already are.
