2. The first talk

After she was done with the first aid she got up from the bed and kept the first aid box back on the drawer.

She sat beside the man for sometime and kept on staring at him. Many questions came to her mind.

Who was this man, how old was he, where did he came from, what was he doing here and how did he got hurt. However after sometime she realized that she was being creepy and then got up to go to the kitchen.

She decided to cook something light for him and started to cook porridge.

And soon she got focused on the cooking and didn't hear the faint noise of the door opening.

After the porridge was nearly cook, she grabbed a bowl and turned around but screamed when she saw the man standing right behind her.

The bowl fell from her hands and shattered into peices. While the man looked unfaced as he leaned against the wall with his hands crossed before her chest staring at Ariadne with cold eyes.

Under the intense stare Ariadne felt a little scared, she completely forgot to think that this man can not only be a victim but a criminal as well.

A robber running from the cops, a mafia or what not.

Thousands of thoughts came to her mind as she gulped and forced herself to calm down and face the man with confidence, "you are up... you should have called me."

She said as she wiped her forehead, "my name is Ariadne and I found you in an alley passed out, you were injured and you asked for help so I bought you here."

The man raised a brow and kept on staring at her.

He was not wearing a shirt, and now that he was standing she realized how tall he was.

"I have made dinner. " she said, "you can eat it or leave or you can leave without whatever suits you." she said as she eyes the knife from her periphery and slowly reached out to it.

Suddenly the man moved and as soon as he did Aridane's eyes widened and her heart skipped a beat.

Maybe it was because her apartment was really small but the man was really tall and well-built she grabbed the knife tightly and the man came closer and closer.

But no matter how intimidating he looked she refused to back down, no at least in her own home. She also stared at him with an equally stern an authoratative gaze.

The man stopped before her and looked down at her before he suddenly bent down.

Ariadne moved a little to the side and saw him picking up the broken bowl pieces.

She closed her eyes and sighed with relief, the man soon got up and threw the bowl pieces to the dustbin and then turned to her and smirked, "you are pretty foolish to bring a random stranger into your house when you live all alone, at night."

Ariadne raised an eyebrow as well, she smirked as well, "you are pretty foolish as well if you think that I will bring just anyone into my house without having the ability to defend myself. You just looked very pitiful back then."

The man smirked and Ariadne would not lie but the man's smirk was rather charming and it was not vicious smirk or a sinister smirk. His eyes and expression and body language didn't make her scared, infact he appeared rather playful and calm person.

"What makes you think that I am not some robber or criminal?"

Ariadne crossed her hands before her chest, after so long she was interacting with someone other than Renee.

After her accident Renee was the only person she always talked to,  she had no friends or family or anyone she knew in this place.

She was alone and lonely and it was eating her out.

This was the first time she was talking to a stranger and she actually liked it.

"What makes you think that I am a good person and won't kill you or sell your organs."

Now any normal person might get scared or rather a little nervous but the man actually laughed.

He let out a really good laugh and seeing him laugh like that Ariadne also smiled.

She didn't even realize that she was smiling as it came naturally to her. After such a long time she was finally laughing genuinely.

The man grabbed his wound suddenly the suddenly laughing and bending down had hurt it, "ouch..."

Ariadne stopped smiling and took a step ahead, "Be careful."

The man looked at her and she pulled out a chair, "have a seat,  your wound might open, and my bandage and antiseptic that I have applied on it will go waste."

She even moved ahead and grabbed the man's hand with her warm hand, and made him sit on the chair, "I will give you something to eat you can go to sleep after that."

The man nodded and Ariadne turned around to get porridge for her.

She soon served him hot porridge and sat before him, the man looked at her and asked, "Aren't you going to eat?"

Ariadne blinked, "I will after you."

"Have you poisoned the food?"

"What? No why would I?" she asked.

The man shrugged and then smiled playfully, "maybe because you want me to go to sleep and then kill me and sell my organs?"

Ariadne rolled her eyes but smiled in the end before she got up and got some porridge herself as well and sat back on her chair, "happy? now eat."

They both started to eat and she asked, "what is your name? And what were you doing in that alley?"

The man looked at her and slowed down his eating and whatever he was doing as he thought about something while Ariadne spoke, "my name is Ariadne by the way."

The man smiled and said, "my name is Leon."

Ariadne nodded and the man asked, "what's your last name?"

Ariadne looked at him and blinked, "I don't know."

He frowned, "are you an orphan? Sorry, but I didn't mean to be rude."

"It's okay." she said, "I don't even know if Ariadne is my real name or not."

"What do you mean?" the man asked his face was covered with confusion and Ariadne spoke, "two months I woke up in a hospital with no memory of who I am or where I came from and it was then I met Renee my elder sister.

She told me that my name was Ariadne and I was in an accident with my parents, they died but I survived but I lost my memories."

The man gave her a nod, "Oh... I am sorry."

"It's okay."
