Luca’s POV

I stormed into the room, my face red with rage, my eyes blazing with fury. “You told me it was a sure thing!” I roared, slamming my fist on the table. “You fucking told me Dominic would be eliminated!”

My men bowed before me, knowing better than to disobey me when I was in a rage. “I-I’m sorry, sir,” one of them stammered. “We didn't expect him to…”

My anger boiled over, and I cut off the man’s words with a swift swipe of my hand. “Enough!” I roared. “I would rather not hear your excuses. I want to know what we can do to take down Dominic. Now.”

The room fell silent, with all eyes fixed on me. My men knew that making me angry and in rage was a dangerous game, and they were reluctant to speak up.

I swept the room with my gaze, my eyes lingering on each of my men. “I want to know everything,” I growled. “I would like to know his schedule, his habits, his weaknesses. I would like to know everything that can help us take him down.”

Elena’s POVI walked down the hallway, my feet carrying me towards Sophia’s room. I had been thinking about our last conversation, and I wanted to talk to her again. As I approached her room, I heard the sound of her voice, but it was low and secretive. I hesitated for a moment, wondering if I should interrupt her, or I should just head back to my room and come back when she’s less busy, but then I suddenly heard my name.“Elena….” Sophia said, her voice barely above a whisper. My heart skipped a beat as I froze, my ears perked up to listen. Who was Sophia talking to? And why the fuck was she mentioning my name? What business do I have to do with the so-called person? I leaned in closer, trying to hear more of the conversation, with whosoever she’s talking to. But Sophia’s voice was too quiet, and I couldn’t hear anymore of the conversation or what exactly she was saying to the person on the other end.Just as I was about to give up and knock on the door, Sophia’s voice grew louder.

Elena’s POV I couldn’t shake off the feeling of unease that had settled in my stomach. Sophia’s behavior had seemed suspicious, and I couldn’t help but wonder what she was hiding or even who she was talking to. I knew that I had to tell Dominic about Sophia’s behavior, but I was afraid of the consequences. If I told him about Sophia’s suspicious actions, and he found out that she was involved in something that could potentially harm me, he might get angry. And if he discovered that she was working against him, he might….. I couldn’t even bear to think about it. The thought of Sophia’s fate was enough to make my heart sink. But what if I didn’t tell him? What if I kept Sophia’s behavior to myself and hoped that everything would work out? Or just believe she was actually talking to her mum. I knew that was a risk I couldn’t take. Dominic was a powerful man, and he had a reputation for being ruthless when it came to those who betrayed him. If I kept something from him, and he fo

Elena’s POVI turned around and headed back to the kitchen, hoping to get the answers I wanted. As I entered the kitchen, Maria looked up from what she was doing, a hint of curiosity in her eyes.“Hey, Elena,” she said. “You came back. What’s up?”“I was wondering if I could ask you something,” I said, trying to sound casual.Maria nodded, but then her expression changed. “I'm sorry, Elena, but can it wait? I’m in the middle of preparing dinner.”I looked around the kitchen and saw that it was indeed a flurry of activity. The aroma of roasting meat and fresh vegetables filled the air, making my stomach growl with hunger.“Oh, sorry,” I said. “I was so absent-minded that I didn’t realize you were this busy. But it's important.”Maria hesitated, her hands moving quickly as she chopped vegetables. “I'll talk to you after dinner, okay? I promise.”I nodded, feeling a bit disappointed. I had been hoping to get some answers right away.“Okay, no problem,” I said. “I’ll come back later.”Mar

Elena’s POVAfter what felt like an eternity, it was finally dinner time. I sat in my room, staring blankly at the wall as I waited for the maid to bring my dinner. It was a familiar routine, one that I had grown familiar with over the months I had been living in this mansion. The maids would bring my meals to my room, and I would eat alone, often lost in my thoughts. The door to my room opened, and one of the maids, a quiet and reserved woman, entered with a tray of food. She set it down on the small table in front of me and smiled softly.“Enjoy your dinner, Elena,” she said, before turning to leave.I nodded my thanks and began to eat, my mind wandering as I chewed my food. I was lost in thought, my concerns about Sophia and her behavior still weighing heavily on my mind.As I finished my meal, I pushed the tray away and stood up, I needed to clear my head and get some fresh air.I walked over to the door and opened it, peeking out into the hallway to make sure the coast was clear

Elena’s POVAs Maria and I finished our conversation, and she left me there speechless from all she had just told me. I quickly and quietly walked back to my room, my mind was stormed up with the information Maria had shared with me. I couldn’t really understand and believe why Sophia had lied to me about talking to her mom. The revelation of the truth had left me feeling both shocked, betrayed and confused.I entered my room and closed the door behind me, I closed my eyes and rested my back against the door as I let the thoughts of all that had happened run through my mind. The room was quiet and still, the only sound being the soft hum of the air conditioning.I opened my eyes and walked over to the bed and sat down, my mind still racing with thoughts of Sophia and her deception. Why the fuck had she lied to me about talking to her mom? And what the hell had she been hiding from me? What bothers me the most is why in the world did she mention my name.As I was lost in thought, I

Elena’s POVI looked at Sophia, my eyes searching for answers. But instead of getting the truth, I saw her brushing off my question with a gentle smile.“Soon you’ll understand why, Elena,” she said softly, her voice barely above a whisper. “But for now, let’s just say I’m trying to protect myself and those around me.”I felt a surge of frustration. Why wasn’t she answering my question directly? What was she hiding?“Sophia, I need to know what’s going on,” I pressed on, my voice firm but gentle. “Who the fuck were you talking to? And why did you fucking lie to me about it?”Sophia’s smile faltered, and for a moment, I saw a glimmer of fear in her eyes. But then she composed herself, her expression smoothing out.“I promise you’ll understand soon,” she repeated, her voice calm and soothing as always. “Just trust me, Elena. I’m doing this for your own good.”I studied her face, trying to get something out of her expression. But Sophia’s expression was unreadable, showing nothing in par

Elena, who was always ready to challenge me, always curious, but now she was so distant, like she had something else bothering her in her mind.
