"I wouldn't have expected to see you awake". Cesare stepped inside the room to see her standing by the window. She turned to face him. He could tell she already had her bath as she let her hair fall freely this time downed in one of his shirts which she has come to especially often especially at night. The black shirt looked alluring on her as it ended at her mid thighs. "I thought of gazing at the stars. How was your meeting?" she asked with a smile as she got in front of him and insisted on removing his coat which he finally gave in. "I've been doing this for you don't you remember?". She asked, referring to the suit issue. "Well, since you decided not to be my wife any more I can't possibly allow you to do her responsibilities". He replied. Leniela almost believed from his tone that he was sad. "Wife huh, I thought you only had a 'paper Wife'". Leniela asked with a chuckle. "What if l say I want that wife of mine to be a real wife. Is she available?" He asked cheesily. "Nope"
Cesare didn't know what he was still doing here uptill this moment. Usually he doesn't stay back after he's gotten what he wants but here he was, mobilized, stuck in the same position ever since he had a short sleep and his eyelids open and the first thing he saw was the face of a woman lying beside him. The mere presence of her reminded him of what they had just done a few hours ago. Seeing her very close to him, Cesare couldn't help but admire her beauty. She was so innocent and naive but she looked more dovely, eyes closed and her chest rose and fell slowly. He found her messy brassy hair alluring that his hands itched to touch but he felt reluctant as it might wake her up. Then the opportunity of the small stubborn hairs stuck on her face came, he didn't hesitate to shift it away and join it with the others. Lost in the softness of her hair, a smile formed his face as he patted but as soon as he saw her stir up, he retracted his hands a bit late. Leniela fluttered her lids open
Leneila nodded with a smile at the guards and walked past them inside the house. It hadn't been easy getting out as for some unknown reason Cesare had instructed them to not allow her to go out so she could have enough rest. She didn't know where to bury herself earlier as the guards relate to the message. Her guilty mind believed the guards already knew the reason why she needed rest It was funny how he still cared even after the cruelness she had shown him earlier. He didn't say a thing as he just took a bath and went out as her back faced him. It was only when she managed to get away from the bed that she noticed some pain killers on the table with a bottle of water. That alone had helped a lot. The long hot bath earlier had helped a lot to ease the soreness of her breast and insides which was the reason she was able to take her little steps and purchase what she wanted."I would've sworn just now that you didn't go to work". Savina's voice greeted her immediately she entered. H
The past few days have been more than good for Leniela. She'd talked with her mom when they both had the chance and so far her mom seems to be having a great time in Sicily. About what happened with Cesare she had only told Emma about it the next day when she went for work, though she was very upset at first, she later decided to give her support but still warned her of what awaited her. Her relationship with Cesare had also improved a lot. Most times she waited for him in the room until he came back and they shared dinner then lay on the bed talking and laughing about random issues. Though most of the time he only asked about her past and neglected his own, she understood why but wished she would open up to her one day especially about Rocco and what happened with his mother. Closing the bathroom door after finishing her evening routine, she picked her phone from the table and sat on the bed with her back leaning on the bed. A message entered reflected on her phone and she quickly
Leniela arrived at the location then glanced at her phone. She was three minutes before the expiry time. It wasn't easy getting here especially at this hour of the night where all the cabs kept asking her where a young girl like her was heading to. Until one finally came and picked her up to this strange place Leniela understood why the cabs didn't want to come to a place which was so isolated and far away. There wasn't any gate so as she walked into the compound, her eyes wandered around alarmingly. The structure of the house itself was not too modern but the environment was kept clean. She lifted her hand and knocked on the wooden door twice and stepped back hearing the door creak open. She expected to see a hige man with a gun in his hand but rather saw an old healthy man probably in his late fifties."Welcome Miss". The man greeted politely and stepped aside, gesturing for her to enter.Leniela slowly stepped in as she pondered if she was at the right place. She expected to see
"Good morning Miss. What would you love to have?". The lady asked after Leniela settled on the table.Leniela passed her eyes lazily on the various types of food with no appetite. She wouldn't have been here if the old man didn't come knocking on her door as he did for the past two days."My freedom. Do you have that?". She softly enquired and the woman smiled at her."Just a little more patience dear. It will be served". She replied jokingly and Leniela chuckled softly. The past days she had nothing except think about her family and friends who surely were going mad wondering where she is. Her only prayer was that neither Aldo nor Emma out of fear reveal to her mother about what has happened. Rocco had said through the old man that they would meet up the next day after that night only for him to sent another message later on that he was on a trip and would only see her today. Leniela felt like throwing a heavy punch on his face if he was there with her. He planned this out-ofcourse
Cesare glanced around, pointing his gun cautiously for any sign of danger. When he didn't find any except Leniela who was looking back at him, he strided ed towards her and hugged her tightly but Leniela didn't respond. He kissed her forehead, looked into her teary eyes, his hands moved in search of any bruises before asking." Are you alright? Did he hurt you? She didn't answer but kept looking at him. A loud strike of the palms resounded and Cesare slowly turned but saw oy Rico by the door who pointed at the ceiling so he could see where it came from. "I must say I wasn't expecting you to be here after two days because you came so soon". He laughed, Cesare doesn't give a damn about his sarcasm. "But all is well, I'm honored to finally meet the youngest Ferrari couple, isn't that awesome?". "What did you do to her?". He thundered looking back at Leniela who hadn't stopped crying as she kept her eyes on her. " The question should be, What did you do to her? but right now it's not
Leniela closed the door with a heavy 'bang!', made sure it was locked before leaning her back helplessly on it. Her eyes slowly shut as her body slipped down till her butts touched the cold floor. An icy tear escaped her eyes, down her cheek. Why was the world so cruel? Why was fate so cruel to her?Unlike others who had their whole life infront of them, hers was as fragile as an egg and just when she'd succeeded in her wish and found a man to love, he turned out to be her parents' murderer. Why can't she be happy for the little time she had at least?.She wrapped her hands across her soldiers and weeped more for no one could answer her questions."Lenie,". A knock came from the other side of the door but she didn't move."Lenie, open up. Your friend is here to see you". The voice persisted.Leniela instantly raised her head up."I..I'll be there shortly. Thanks Lilian". She said and heard her retreat. She struggled and rose up, went to the sink and watched her face then grabbed a to
