LEILA

.

.

We moved towards the gardens gate, the faint pre-dawn light finally painting the sky a touch of grey and pale pink.

It was our only real chance, the little gate at the back of the garden almost hidden by overgrown vines.

Our plan hatched in the hushed whisper in the dead of the night had felt sold almost like a fool proof

We had waited until the first hint of dawn knowing Damien and Gerald had stepped out earlier for the business they had been discussing and the guards and the various people who didn’t matter had been in some kind of party.

Their laughter and loud music fading into a dull hum as the hour goes by, hopefully their drunken state keeps them occupied.

I'm sure all of this is because Damien isn't around and this is the more reason i think he won't be coming back anytime soon.

I turned to where she's standing, seeing the leaf that just fell, almost scary.

“You should move towards that area” I’d whispered to Tracy, pointing towards a small flower filled with patch

LEILA..I looked back at Damien, then back at her, waiting for any kind of response. We were far enough away from them that they could barely hear our hushed words. But not so far for him to inflict pain if he wanted to.“He… he ummm… they had this gun thing… I saw it…” Tracy stammered, her eyes wide with lingering fear. “…and umm… Matteo is being questioned… for letting things slip that way…”I had never wanted things to escalate like this. The gate had been locked, our next plan had been to try and slip back into our rooms unnoticed and now, here we were, caught like rats in a trap.“When you’re asked to speak, don’t be scared,” I told Tracy, trying to project a strength I didn’t feel.“Answer with your head held high. Don’t… don’t let them see your fear.” She nodded her head rapidly, her eyes darting nervously towards Damien. I wasn’t entirely satisfied with her response, but it was the best I was going to get right now.Gerald’s gaze remained fixed on us, his expression still u

LEILA..I waited as every muscle in my body coiled with a tension. The silence that follows my scream and tears is so obvious as my heart continued to beat faster against my ribs. Then, I heard the thud of footsteps approaching and the door behind me is pushed open, pushing me away from it, two men walked in, their face so grim and impassive. They didn’t dare look anywhere except for their task as they moved towards Tracy’s still form and roughly drew her away.I watched them go, my gaze fixed on her small body being dragged across the cold stone floor as her eyes stared back at me, vacant and lifeless, and the full weight of my guilt crashed down on me again. If I had just gone along with it, if I hadn’t been so desperate, so damn stubborn… she would still be alive. My reckless attempt at freedom had cost her everything. They hauled her out of the place like she was nothing more than a discarded piece of meat. How could they be so desensitized to this? The causal killing, the call

LEILA..He left just immediately after those words tumbled from his lips, I practically leaped off the bed, the sheets tangling around my bare legs for a disoriented moment.I had to push the insistent thought of Tracy out of my head, shove it down into some dark corner of my mind because dwelling on that was going to mess with my brain.Seeing my mother… that single thought that had become a lifeline, something in the suffocating darkness of my current reality as it had to be the perfect opportunity, a chance to see with my own eyes that she’s still breathing.Or maybe still fighting.I didn’t care what twisted games Damien was playing or what condition he might impose later. She had to be alive. That was the only thing that truly mattered.I scrambled to get dressed, my fingers fumbling with the buttons of the long flowing dress that hung in the wardrobe.I think they did stuck some clothes maybe when I was bathing or something because I can tell that most of these weren’t here w

LEILA..The person who always kept it so meticulously nice and clean despite her own failing health was currently confined to her bed, or maybe just maybe she wasn’t even here anymore.I walked faster towards the front door, not even waiting for anyone to open it.No need to knock, the door was always unlocked, a pathetic testament to my father’s apathy and the general lawlessness that seemed to permeate the place.Just as I thought, it creaked open easily, I moved further inside, revealing the familiar, yet somehow more depressing, living room.An ashtray on the coffee table overflowed with extinguished cigarette butts, some only half-smoked, and no one. Empty bottles, mostly cheap whisky, lay scattered on the worn carpet, a familiar sight that always made my stomach clench. The worn couches that had once made the place feel somewhat homey now looked unkempt and stained, smelling faintly of smoke. The floor was sticky and dirty, and the smell emanating from the place was stale an

LEILA..I spoke with my mother for a few Minutes before Matteo came in, of course I’d sworn my obedience, the words feeling like ash in my mouth. I had to explain to her that was I was off to somewhere safe before she actually let me go.The journey back to the house felt strangely nice, a very weird ache in my chest knowing I had seen her even in that state was a small comfort. My obedience. It hits me as a reminder. We got back to the house as I felt the shift and slow moving of the car making me jump up, my eyes opens realizing I must have drifted off, a moment of unconsciousness.“Dinner by nine. It’s already late, and a phone will be sent over to you. You’ll use that to communicate with me and one drastic turn, and I shoot your brain out.”He didn’t give me any time to process his words, any room to breathe. He simply jumped out of the car and left, the heavy door thudding shut behind him.A small smile crept onto my lips.At least now getting a phone would keep me busy, a

LEILA..For the first time since arriving at this prison, I reached for the light switch on the wall and flipped it on, making the large room come to life, bathed in a warm, inviting glow, a welcome change from the single, shallow light I usually kept on.I looked around the room, taking it fully in, noticing the expensive furniture, the tasteful décor, the sheer size of the space. At least now, my life was getting back a little… normalcy? The question lingered in my heart if that was actually what I would call it at this point. “Not bad,” I shrugged to myself after taking it all in, a wry smile playing on my lips. Until my eyes landed on the clothes on the bed and on top lay a dress that looked like something out of a fairy tale, the kind a princess might wear, except it was sleeveless. It was more of a corset gown, but not all that ball-like, more form-fitting. The color was stunning, a deep, rich green, something royal, more like emerald. I picked it up, and a small piece of fa

LEILA..I free up my leg, a strange sense of accomplishment washing over me, knowing my dancing skills hadn’t gone to waste.I hadn’t gone to a dance school or anything fancy but I’d definitely picked up a few moves for a strip pole dance during my less glamorous jobs.I moved my legs, twisting them slowly, deliberately in sync with the sensual rhythm of the music, slow, very slow and sexy, pushing my ass out, feeling the spotlight or whatever this don purplish light that’s definitely on me was.I looked at him as I pushed forward, almost cat-walking towards where he was still sitting, a slight smirk playing on his lips.I turned around him, placing my leg on his shoulder, the fabric of his shirt smooth under my heel. I twisted and slowly removed it, my gaze never leaving his, then moved towards his back, my fingers trailing lightly down his spine before circling back to his front. I leaned in, rubbing my waist against his crotch, feeling the immediate hardening in his trousers.I

LEILA..He reached out a hand, his fingers gently tracing the curve of my breast before his thumb flicked across my nipple. He looked into my eyes, his gaze intense and possessive, he lowered his head until his tongue flicked out and touched my nipple, still maintaining direct eye contact. His eyes finally closed as he savored the taste, a low groan escaping his lips.My head fell back against the soft pillows, my hair scattering all over the bed, the feeling so incredibly hot that I could feel myself getting slick and wet down there. He placed his hand on my other breast, his fingers fumbling slightly as he squeezed and kneaded, his attention still focused on my nipple.“Look at me,” he commanded, his voice a husky whisper. My eyes fluttered open, staring up at him as a moan escaped my lips, followed by another, and another, each one more breathy than the last. This felt so incredibly good, so intensely forbidden. He trailed his hand down my stomach, his touch sending shivers down

DAMIEN ..I moved to the other end of it, the cold granite of the tombstone pressing against my hand for just a second long before I pulled it away, throwing the flower in my hand to the floor, watching the petals scattered like littler pieces of something broken. It felt like it was just a few months ago, not fourteen, since we stood here for the first time, the raw gaping wound of losing him still fresh and the invisible bone in my throat didn’t seem to want to go off, stuck right there, all of this was a reminder of the day the world shifted on its axis.I fixed my shades back to where they were, shield my eyes from the weak sunlight that somehow felt too bright that day, moving towards my brother who had both hand crossed in front of him, a silent sentinel staring at the grave. It had been fourteen years already, etched into the stone was a number that felt both impossibly long and horrifically short. It felt like he just did it yesterday, the act that brought us here, the act

LEILA ..The weight of what he had just said settled heavily on me as I walked through the hallway leading back to my room trying to look back at the footsteps, even though I knew better than to actually turn around. It was messing with my head, this whole situation. He was kind of a gentle person this time without telling me to pick up my things and leave, which was totally unexpected after… well, everything.Although there was still little command in his tone even if he tried to be careful while I rocked on his crotch more of his dick back there, a chill crawled up my spine remembering how it felt.I didn’t look back, but I felt the weight of his gaze, mightily settling on me, burning into the back of my skull even through the damn wall I wished I wished was between us, just that feeling of being watched like he owned every inch of space I occupied, even the air I breathed.Actually he does.Pushing open the door, the familiar mess of my room greeted me, not totally a mess but I

DAMIEN ..That same day, my father had returned home, as if some instinct had warned him what was happening. He walked into the house, his face etched with a weary resignation, and then he saw a letter lying on their bed.I hadn’t touched it.I had gone into their room earlier, a knot of dread tightening in my stomach, to see if she had packed her things. And yes, everything was gone. She was gone.Leila was goneShe left without even looking back at us.He was a shadow of himself for a long time after that, a ghost haunting the halls of our once happy home. He was always complaining, his words laced with bitterness, and he stopped looking after us, lost in his own grief. He loved her more than he loved us, more than he had even loved my birth mother, who had died years earlier, two years after giving birth to Gerald.I watched him drink himself into a stupor night after night, embarrassing us at every turn, racking up more and more debt. Then, he fell ill, his body finally succum

DAMIEN ..I watched her retreating back as she gathered her things, her movements stiff, each step a testament to the pain she wouldn't voice. She didn't turn back as she limped towards the door, a silent goodbye.I knew she was hurting, both physically and emotionally, but she wouldn't let it show. That's Leila for you. Sex with her was always electric, a primal connection that left me breathless, and the way she moaned my name… it drove me fucking insane, and she knew I loved seeing her in that garter belt, a small, wicked detail that always set my blood on fire and she knew me too damn well, understood the twisted desires that lurked beneath the surface. This was it. The end of the Elvares. They were finally erased, a stain wiped clean, and if any of their bloodline, any distant cousin or forgotten offspring, still drew breath somewhere in this godforsaken world, then they should be ready for a war unlike any they had ever imagined. They should come armed with a fucking army,

  • The Mafia's Little Raven   Chapter 35

LEILA ..Maybe everything I had ever thought about Damien, the darkness that clung to him like a second skin, the ruthlessness that could chill you to the bone, all seemed to trace back to my mother’s actions. All this time, all he had wanted, deep down, was to exact the same kind of revenge, a bitter truth that settled in my stomach like a lead weight.I could feel it in the air, a lingering tension that even Gerald, who usually bounced back from anything with a grin, couldn't completely dispel but Damien… Damien wasn’t wired that way.He didn’t simply get over things, not even for a little while. He would make sure you understood the depth of his pain, would rip your heart out if you didn’t feel it too.He truly lived by that twisted code of “do unto others as you would have them do unto you,” a philosophy that painted his world in shades of vengeance and retribution. The kiss deepened, becoming a slow, deliberate claim, he controlled the way we shifted on the bed, a subtle yet

LEILA ..“I want you here.”His words hung in the air, each syllable echoing in my ears like a warning bell, as if I was caught trying to escape, or maybe this was the last time he was ever going to see me.“I want to get some rest, and I think you need it too,” I said softly, placing my hand gently on his arm, trying to remove his grip on mine.I was still wary, acutely aware that he was the one who called the shots in this here, but he was weak now, vulnerable, and he desperately needed rest. “I just need a few minutes,” “It might help me sleep. I can get anyone to do it, but I think… I think I want to hear you speak.”He tried to push himself up higher against the pillows, his movements stiff and pained. He should have been lying flat on his back, protecting the wound, but instead, he was trying to sit up, his face etched with discomfort.“Why did you never question Mabel?” he asked, his gaze suddenly intense, piercing. This wasn’t the time to talk about my mother, not now.M

  • The Mafia's Little Raven   Chapter 33

LEILA ..My thighs were throbbing even through the thick bandages I had managed to wrap around them. It was a grim skill I’d picked up in this life, knowing how to treat wounds, especially after seeing Alvin shoot that poor nurse without a second thought, it has resurfaced within me, it hasn’t been me who’d had the knitting pin yanked out, Gerald had handled that, his face grim as he’d worked. We had left that burning hellhole behind, and as we drove further away, a deafening boom echoed in the distance. I turned to see Alvin’s estate engulfed in flames, a raging inferno against the dark sky.“We need your help,” Gerald said, his clothes looking fresh, like he’d changed into something new.He seemed to have regained his composure, but my mind was still racing, fixated on Damien.“How’s he feeling?”They had called someone else for medical assistance to oversee his injured area.“He needs to be stitched up and bandaged properly,” he scratched his head like some confused child. “N

LEILA ..I knew he was here the instant I heard the first gunshot rip through the air.It was a sound I had become sickeningly familiar with in the last few weeks, but this one felt different, closer, more personal. For Me.When I had first arrived at this hellhole, Alvin had wasted no time in making his intentions clear. He had shouted obscenities into my ears, his breath hot and foul against my skin, warning me against even looking at Damien. They knew he was coming but not today. Although, at that point, I couldn’t fathom why he would, why he would risk everything for me, a nobody he had plucked from a life he barely acknowledged or maybe because he owned me and I know what that meant. But then Alvin had traced a possessive finger down my cleavage, a camera recording my every reaction, before forcing the cold, hard barrel of a gun into my mouth.I had thrown up afterwards, the taste of bile mingling with the metallic tang of fear and I had cried so much, tears streaming down my

  • The Mafia's Little Raven   Chapter 31

DAMIEN ..I slammed my boot against the first door, the flimsy wood groaning in protest before splintering inward with a violent crack. Two hulking figures, built like brick frame, charged at me, their eyes promising a brutal fight. They looked like the kind of muscle Alvin would hire, thinking brute force could stop me.I didn't even break my stride, my gun already spitting fire, two quick bursts taking them down before they could even reach me. Their heavy bodies thudded onto the polished floor, the sound barely audible over the terrified screams of the women huddled in the corner, their hands clamped over their ears. They were mostly naked, just scraps of fabric clinging to them, their eyes wide with a fear that mirrored Leila's in my nightmares.I hated that sound, the sound of pure terror, it clawed at something inside me, a primal protectiveness for what was mine. That raw sound, the sheer vulnerability in their screams, only fueled the boiling rage inside me.I shoved the li
