"Okay. I'm going home now," Orella said to her father on the other end of the line, and then she disconnected the phone.
She got back into the car and turned around. It wasn't long before she arrived at her father's house. Orella went straight to her father, who was in his workspace.
"Dad, what's going on?" Orella asked her father after she entered the workspace.
"Sit down!" The father replied as he got up and walked to the sofa. Then he sat there.
Orella nodded and sat down on the sofa across from her father. She looked up at her father, trying to figure out what he wanted.
"What is it?" Orella asked her father again as he just looked at her without speaking.
"Are they giving you a hard time?" The father replied with another question to his daughter.
"I'm fine. I'm not a weak woman who is easily intimidated. Why are you still worried about me?" Orella replied.
Orella continued to stare at her father who was now silent again. It was obvious that her father had a lot on his mind. However, she still didn't know the problem her father was facing.
"Does this have anything to do with Ludovic's family?" Orella guessed what her father was thinking.
"No, it doesn't. It has nothing to do with your husband's family."
"Then what happened?" Orella asked again as her curiosity grew.
"There's someone I want to introduce you to," The father replied, looking at Orella.
Before Orella could ask her father any more questions, she looked at the door because someone had opened the door to her father's workspace. It wasn't long before a woman walked up to her father.
Orella continued to stare at the woman in front of her. She smiled at her and stuck out her hand as if to introduce herself.
"Who is she?" asked Orella without accepting the woman's handshake.
"You can call me Miranda," the woman replied as she sat down on the sofa.
"Do you want to take my mother's place?" Orella asked her father again.
Orella continued to stare at her father, who didn't answer her question. She occasionally looked at the woman who was now sitting next to her father.
Her father's silence showed that she had found a woman to replace her mother. Orella stood up and walked out of the room.
"Orella," The father called and stopped her right at the door.
"If that woman is already your choice. I'm speechless," Orella cut in and resumed her walk.
She quickened her pace and headed straight for her car. She drove the car out of her neighbourhood. Orella had no idea that her father had asked her to come back to introduce the woman.
Orella continued to drive her car at high speed. Her heart still couldn't believe her father's decision. Her mother had sacrificed so much for the Maldini family.
"I'm disappointed in you, Dad," Orella muttered with annoyance in her mind as she added speed to her car.
She looked back through the rearview mirror and saw a car following her. Orella increased the speed of her car again, doing so to confirm whether the car was indeed following her.
"It's the same car that followed me to the place, Silvia," Orella said after remembering the colour and type of car behind her.
The car behind her managed to overtake her and she also saw another car. Now, she was cornered because she couldn't overtake the car in front of her.
"Looks like they want to take me somewhere," Orella said again after she felt that the two cars were forcing her to follow the path they wanted.
She was forced to follow their orders. She wanted to know who had told them to look for trouble with her.
Orella stopped her car after the car in front of her stopped. She looked at the scene outside. Several men were coming out of the cars in front and behind her. She got out after a man knocked on the glass of her car door.
"Who wants to see me?" Orella asked the man in front of her.
"I thought you were a crazy woman after your brother's death a year ago," the person replied as the person walked closer to Orella.
Orella smiled as she looked at the person who had just answered her question. She didn't think that the woman in front of her could act this quickly after the incident this morning.
"I also didn't think that a spoiled miss like you would act this quickly," Orella continued calmly.
"Orella, I don't want to make enemies with you at all. So don't bother me," the woman continued.
"Gia Maria Nardo, have I disturbed you? It seems you've misunderstood me."
Orella saw Gia take one step forward so that the woman was very close to her. However, it didn't matter because she wasn't at all afraid of Gia, who she felt was just a spoiled woman who had always had all her wishes fulfilled by her parents.
"Mario is mine! I hope you don't go near him!" Gia again said in a pressing tone.
Orella laughed at Gia's words then she replied, "I'm not interested in him at all. How can you think I like him and will take him away from you?"
She reiterated to Gia that she didn't think anyone in the Ludovic family was important. However, she does not tell her about her true plan to get revenge on Dante for her brother Juan's death.
"Can I take you at your word?" Gia asked Orella.
"You love him that much? Are you sure he's a man who can love you back?" Orella replied with another question to the woman in front of her.
"I do not believe in his love. However, I ...."
Before Gia could continue her sentence, a bullet shot towards Orella, and that made everyone there startled and reflexively pulled out weapons.
"You want to finish me off, Gia?"
"Am I crazy to want to kill you? Just look at that guy attacking me and my men, too!" Gia shouted as she ran behind the car to take cover. Orella also believed what Gia said because, one by one, the woman's men were shot. She tried to stay calm and find the position of the person who was shooting at her. "Give me a gun!" Orella shouted to anyone who was nearby. A man immediately threw a gun at her. Orella quickly managed to catch the gun. She was ready to shoot at the man who kept raining bullets. "There you are," Orella said with a smile as she pulled the trigger of the gun in her hand. The bullet shot towards the person who had been shooting at her. She waited for a while. She stood up but was still wary of the enemy, who suddenly stopped shooting at her. 'There's no way my bullet will hit him, right? "Orella asked herself. "They're gone," a man said, pointing at a car that was leaving the scene. Orella stood up and came out of her shelter. She looked at the spot where she h
"Stay where you are! And don't move!" Dante told Orella again and pulled the trigger of his gun. The bullet whizzed towards Orella, but Dante could tell that it didn't hit her. The shot was right on target: a man behind Orella and about to finish her off. Dante walked over to Orella, who was still standing. Reflexively, he held Orella, who was about to fall. He carried the woman, who was currently unconscious. "You take care of that intruder! Get all the information from him!" Dante ordered the man in front of him. Dante walked into the house while continuing to carry Orella. Occasionally, he looked at the face of the woman who wanted his destruction and death. "You're still weak. I don't know if you can take the backlash," Dante said as he walked into the room and laid Orella on the couch. He walked to the bathroom and grabbed a dry towel. Then he grabbed his T-shirt. Dante approached Orella again and individually took off her dirty and wet clothes. Then, he dried Orella's body
Dante was still trying to find out about the secret Orella and Juan were hiding. However, he couldn't get Orella to tell him, and she fell asleep in Dante's arms. Orella wakes up in the morning as the sunlight dazzles her eyes. She is transfixed by the sight of Dante asleep next to her, and she gently pulls her hand away from his chest. "What happened?" murmured Orella, whose last memory was of seeing the little girl who could no longer be saved. She heard Dante's cell phone ring, and Orella pretended to be asleep. She felt Dante move, probably to get his cell phone. It wasn't long before she heard him talking to the person on the other end of the line. "I don't care if the Maldini family's small business is destroyed," Dante said to the person on the other end of the line. Dante's words startled Orella, and she immediately changed her body position so that she was on top of the man's body. She stared intently at Dante, but he smiled coldly. "Stop that plan! Otherwise, you'll re
"Orella, I've gotten new information about the woman your father is currently close to," Silvia told Orella. "Tell me!" continued Orella as she put on the earrings and the necklace. Now, she was preparing to attend a ceremony organized by her company. No one knew the business she was running, not even Dante or her father. "So what are you going to do? Would you approve of your father being with that woman?" Silvia asked Orella after finishing telling her all the information about Miranda. Orella didn't answer Silvia's question even though her best friend gave her information that didn't endanger her father or her family. However, she still couldn't fully trust Miranda, who wanted to take her mother's place in her father's heart or home. "You tell them to keep an eye on that woman. And keep finding out all the information about her. I'm sure there's something still hidden," Orella told Silvia. "Okay. I'll tell my people," Silvia replied. Orella heard Silvia's cell phone ring. Sh
"Tell me who you are?" The masked man asked Orella again. Orella remained silent as she looked into the rearview mirror of her motorcycle. She thought maybe the man hadn't realized that his mask was off. Now, what she was curious about was why the man was doing all this to her. She saw the man get off his bike and pick up his phone. Orella stayed where she was because a few seconds earlier, she saw an enemy car pass by. "You can act already! I'll be waiting for you at the point I sent you!" the man said to the person on the other end of the line. After that, he disconnected the phone. Without saying much more, Orella immediately started her motorcycle and left the man behind. She wondered if the man's men would arrive soon to pick him up. "What exactly is your purpose in doing all this?" Orella muttered as she continued to drive her motorcycle at a high speed. Finally, Orella arrived at an apartment. It was hers, and no one knew about it except Silvia and her brother Juan. She
A heavy rain fell on a cold Naples night, with thunder showing its strength. Several men dressed in black chased a man and a young woman while carrying firearms. "Orella, get out of here!" said the man, who was none other than his sister. "What?" Orella widened her eyes. "No! I don't want to! I won't leave you, Juan!" The older brother gently rubbed Orella's bleeding forehead after hitting her head on a rock. Orella looked up at her brother and saw his sad face. It was clear that Juan didn't want to lose her. "Take care of yourself!" said Juan as he pushed his sister roughly until she slipped. "Juan!" shouted Orella. "Why did you push me?" Orella was about to approach, but her brother immediately said, "Stay there! Don't move!" She saw the enemy who managed to get close. Orella also saw Juan, who was blocking them from approaching her. A tall, bulky man had Juan by the neck from behind. However, the older brother managed to poke his opponent in the ribs. "Juan, just give u
"Juan ...." Orella, who had just woken up, screamed. She continued to scream hysterically, calling her brother's name. When she remembered the incident that night, she would go crazy and destroy everything near her. She almost hurt herself. Some people came into her room, and they held her tightly. "Let go of me! Don't block me! I want to find Juan!" Orella shouted as she tried to free herself from the grip of her father's guards. She kept struggling and trying to free herself. However, the harder she tried, the tighter the guards held her. "Miss Orella, calm down! Let Mr. Juan be at ease!" said a guard who could not bear to look at her. "You're lying! Juan, he's alive! Hurry up and help me look for him!" said Orella, who still thought that her brother was alive. "Orella Daria Maldini! Stop calling his names!" growled a middle-aged man who had just walked into the room. "This is all your fault! If you'd just come looking for us none of this would have happened, Dad!" Ore
"What's going on?" muttered Orella when she saw the commotion after she entered the party room. She approached the direction of the commotion because she heard the voice of someone she recognized. Orella stopped her steps once she had a clear view. Orella saw the woman in the yellow dress slap the woman in the white dress so hard. She was fed up with what was happening in front of her. Without thinking, she took a few steps forward and slapped the woman in yellow back twice as hard as the woman in white. "Orella, you!" screeched the woman in the yellow dress in an irritated tone. Without responding, Orella slapped the woman in the yellow dress again. She didn't care at all about everyone watching her. "I told you not to, Olivia Vedetta! So that you don't have to show your weakness to this pair of rotten humans!" Orella said in a cold tone to the woman in the white dress in front of her. "You crazy woman! What did you come here for? Do you want to ruin Mr. Ludovic's party?" i

"Are they following me?" muttered Orella after she realized a car was following her. To dispel her suspicion, she increased the speed of her car, made a turn, and then turned back around. She was slightly relieved after not seeing the car anymore, until finally, she arrived at an abandoned building, just as her friend had said. "I hope I'm not too late," Orella said as she walked towards the building in front of her. She saw several men approaching her. They unceremoniously attacked her. However, Orella could not be taken down easily. Instead, the men fell on the dusty floor. "This kind of ability is no match for me," Orella said as she walked deeper into the building. She climbed the stairs because she heard her friend's voice. She stopped her steps for a moment and went back to listening to some people talking. Orella smiled as she walked back and approached them all. "Am I late?" asked Orella, surprising everyone in front of her. "Ah... your friends are idiots! They can't st
Orella tried to stay awake, but the drowsiness was getting to her. And finally, she fell asleep next to Dante. Finally, someone's shout woke her up. "Get ready!" Dante said after he saw Orella wake up. Then he walked towards the bathroom. Meanwhile, Orella was still sitting on the bed. Not so long ago, she heard the shout of the person who had woken her up. She also saw Dante, who had just come out of the bathroom. "What are you waiting for? Get ready!" Dante ordered Orella. Orella didn't respond to Dante's words even though she was annoyed by the man's tone. However, in the back of her mind, she was grumbling and still curious about the person who had been yelling until this moment. She had finished preparing and saw Dante sitting on the sofa. She felt that he was waiting for her. "Come with me!" Dante said in a flat tone as he got up and walked out of the room. Orella followed him and didn't ask many questions until she arrived at the gazebo in the back garden. She saw two me
"You?" Orella instantly drew her dagger and released the man. She recognized the man she had been struggling with. She took a step back and sat down on a nearby sofa. "You seem to know every corner of the Ludovic family residence," Orella said as she looked at the man in front of her. She couldn't possibly forget that man because he had brought her to meet the masked man that night. Orella was still staring at the man as she waited for him to say something. "My master gave me orders to give this to you," the man said as he handed Orella an envelope. After that, he left the room quietly. Orella frowned as she felt that the man was indeed part of the Ludovic family. Her curiosity grew about the man and the masked man. Without opening the envelope, she ran out of the room. She immediately followed the man. She easily managed to follow him and arrived at a garden. "Is that where he's hiding?" Orella muttered as she continued following the man until she was near a vine-made maze. S
