The sound of Rayden's laughter filled the living room. Amora’s hazel eyes watched as Regis finally caught their son, who had been running around non-stop.

Regis guided Rayden to sit on the sofa for a moment, then helped him grab a glass of water to quench his thirst and replaced his shoes with house slippers he had brought.

Regis's small acts of care touched Amora. She thought he was acting like a dependable father, even though his sometimes indifferent behavior seemed like an effort to mask his emotions.

When Regis turned around, he was once again faced with the woman who had stirred up his emotions today.

"Sorry, I didn’t mean to tease you earlier," Amora said, apologizing for her earlier behavior.

"No need to apologize. I know I pushed myself too hard trying to wear something that’s not really my style," Regis replied, maintaining his indifferent expression.
