Chapter Seven

Thought Clouded Alyssa's mind as she wondered what in the world had happened when she called Mr mafia last night. 

After a lot of thought, she still couldn't remember what had happened and she decided not to disturb herself by thinking of what had happened last night over the call instead she started to think of what could be next for her now that she had accepted to be the contracted wife to a Mafia lord. 

"Even if I do not have a long time to live again due to my sickness, I still don't want to die quickly in the hands of my handsome Mr mafia," Alyssa said to herself as she went down the stairs to prepare breakfast for herself.

Alex dropped his phone immediately after the call and walked over to the mirror to check out himself because he was getting ready for a business meeting when Alyssa called. 

As Alex walked gracefully to the mirror he couldn't help but wonder what had gotten into Alyssa that had made her accept to be his contracted wife, even though he had made her understand that what she was getting into was a dangerous thing. 

After Alex briefly looked at himself in the mirror he quickly took his car keys from the table and left the house. 

As Alex got into his car the driver drove off and other of his men followed in different cars after him. 

He got to the office and the meeting was about to start immediately Alex got into the office. 

Alex is not the type to get to his place of meeting late. Instead, people meet him at his office but all thanks to Alyssa who called Alex earlier in the morning concerning her decisions about the contract, He had to arrive at the office a little bit late. 

Everyone at the office was surprised to see that their boss came late since he was not the type to come late to the office. 

After a few hours of meeting and coming to the end of the meeting the board members said a final goodbye before they left. 

"sir you got a call from someone," one of Alex's bodyguards said to him as he came over to where he was sitting to hand his phone over to him. 

Alex collected his phone and checked his call log to find out that it was one of the most famous Mafia lords he had once worked with due to the kind of work he had helped his dad to do long ago. "Why would he call now? '' Alex asked himself as she left the board room to go into his office so he could place a call back to the Mafia Lord. 

As Alex got to his office he closed the door behind him and two of his bodyguards stayed at the door to guard it while the rest of the bodyguards were outside. 

After sitting on the couch in his office he took out his phone from his pocket and called back Mr Black the mafia lord that had called him while he was at the meeting. 

"Hello, Mr black" Alex said from the end of his phone his voice filled with authority and at the same time humility. "How have you been Alex?" Mr Black asked. 

Mr Black was one of the most feared mafia in their kingdom he was known for the wealth and power he possessed and that made most of the other mafia don want to work with him and join hands with him in taking down any enemy they had. 

Alex has built a good relationship with Mr Black over the years which is why Mr Black also respects and trusts Alex amongst other Mafia don's in their kingdom. Also because of the relationship Mr Black and both Alex's and Tony's Dad had shared in these past years, Mr Black is indeed indebted to both Alex and Tony. 

"Have been good Black, what about you hoe is work, Family, and everything going" Alex didn't hesitate to ask about Mr Black's Family because he had once saved them from one of the most dangerous Mafia kings back then.  "We were all fine Alex," Mr Black said to Alex. 

With a more serious tone, Mr Black said to Alex "I did not call to chat about things now Alex, I will go straight to the point"

Mr Black went ahead and told Alex how his brother had come over to his office in the morning and told him he had important things to discuss with him, Mr. Black went ahead and told Alex about the offer his brother had made to him if he could take down Alex. 

Alex wasn't shocked by what Mr Black had told him because he knew his brother was going to go this far. All he was surprised about was the fact that Tony didn't even know how close he was to almost all the Mafia kings and dons in their kingdom and how all of them respected him. 

"so what do you think about my offer now, Mr . Black told Alex after explaining everything he and Tony had discussed in detail to Alex, he told him not to attack his brother first because One of the favors Tony had asked Mr. Black for was more bodyguard and Mr. Black had given him some of his bodyguards. 

"So you just let him attack first and when he does so you will be able to defeat him and I would not have to be the bad person in the middle since I just helped both of you," Mr Black said to Alex and Alex nodded in agreement to what he said. "Ok that's fine by me,  so I will let my people know that they should be alert in case any fight breaks out", Alex said as he also thanked Mr. Black before the call ended. 

"Hmmm; Tony is going too far and I wouldn't take it likely with him if it tries anything fun," Alex said coldly. 

As Alex relaxed back on his set he tried to relax from all these his brother's headaches because if he seriously wanted he could just go to his brother's house and kill him there in the night without anyone knowing, but Alex wanted to kill him more embarrassingly because of how he took everything he had work for over these years. 

Alex's thoughts drifted to Alyssa and he remembered that he told her he was going to text her the location where they were supposed to meet and sign the contract.
