Teresa's POV

The bruises on Teresa’s wrists were a cruel reminder of her mishaps the night before. She rubbed at them, while lost deeply in her thoughts. She lay on the bed in her lavish prison, staring at the ornate ceiling as Guillermo's words echoed in her mind.

"Did you really think you could escape him?"

She had thought so. And she had failed so gracefully.

The morning sunlight streamed through the windows, golden and hopeful, yet even that was a deception, as if the horrors of the night before had been nothing but a fever dream. But the dull ache in her body told her otherwise.

Stefano hadn’t punished her at least, not in the way she expected. He hadn’t raised a hand to her. Hadn’t locked her in a dungeon or chained her to the bed. Or maybe he hadn't even known.

No. He knew, but chose to do nothing. Teresa wasn't sure what the dynamic was between the two brothers, but she would rather not get the attention of those two devious miscreants.

He had come over to see her this mornin

Stefano’s POVStefano poured himself a drink, the amber liquid swirling in the crystal glass as he leaned back against his desk. His gaze flickered toward the lifeless body on the floor, the metallic scent of blood still thick in the air. The assassin’s corpse had already been removed, but the stain of betrayal lingered. It has been hours since the assassination attempt. He hadn’t missed the way Teresa had burst into his study, breathless, desperate, almost too perfectly timed. She had led the assassin straight to him. No doubt.Coincidence? Perhaps. But Stefano didn’t believe in coincidences. If things happened in odd synchronicity, then there was a driving force behind it. He was sure.He took a slow sip, his mind running through the possibilities. Teresa was defiant, stubborn, reckless, but she wasn’t a fool. The very fact that she had kept her meeting with Guillermo a secret and she didn't trust him was proof enough. If she had truly wanted him dead, she wouldn’t have warned him f

Stefano's POV Stefano adjusted his cufflinks as he strode through the dimly lit halls of his estate. His mind was still replaying his meeting with Romano.'The audacity of that man, trying to buy Teresa like she was mere property.' But that wasn’t the only thing bothering him. There was another pressing concern. His brother.Guillermo had always been a wildcard. Charming yet calculating, playful yet ruthless. He had a habit of wanting things that didn’t belong to him, and Stefano had no intention of letting Teresa become one of them. He was yet to confront either Teresa or Guillermo, he had given each other a chance to bring you the matter with him.Pushing open the heavy doors of the lounge, he was currently at the Guillermo's side of the estate. Stefano found his younger brother sprawled on a velvet couch, a glass of whiskey in hand, the golden liquid catching the reflections of light.“Well, this is a rare sight,” Guillermo drawled without looking up. “To what do I owe this visit,

  • The Mafia and his personal Slave   The Real Target

Teresa’s POVTeresa stood frozen in Stefano’s doorway long after he had disappeared down the stairs."Don’t dress like a peasant? The nerve of that bastard" she cursed silently. His words echoed in her mind, cold and dismissive, yet laden with something she couldn’t quite name. It wasn’t permission, not exactly. But it wasn’t a refusal either. It's like he wanted to see what she would do. Her actions could determine how he would treat her from here in out. A slave or a human. Her fingers curled at her sides as she exhaled slowly. If she was going to attend this party, she refused to be looked at as less than. With new found determination, she turned on her heel and walked back to her rooms. On her way there, she calmly called the attention of one of the maids that attended to her. She would need all the help she could get.Upon reaching her room, she turned toward the large wardrobe that loomed in the corner of the lavish bedroom she had been given. It was filled with expensive dresse

  • The Mafia and his personal Slave   She is the Target!

Teresa's POV The hall was a battleground of chaos and blood.Teresa could barely breathe as she crouched behind an overturned table, her body trembling from the shock of the sudden attack. The grand chandeliers overhead swayed wildly, their crystal light fractured by gunfire, broken shards raining down. Guests had scattered, screams mixing with the deafening shots of bullets splitting through furniture and walls.Stefano was still beside her, his grip tight on her wrist, he looked unfazed, dependable. He moved like a predator, controlled and lethal, each shot from his gun landing with brutal precision. Across the room, Guillermo was grinning like a madman, his gun drawn but his posture relaxed enjoying the chaos as he shot two men with calm precision.Teresa could hear her heart pounding in her ears. Something wasn’t right. These men weren’t just attacking blindly. Their movements were too... Organized. Well of course it was, the guests here all had Influence in their own right. But

Teresa’s POVThe car sped through the darkened streets, its tires slicing through the wet tarred road. The city lights blurred past, a distant world she no longer belonged to, just like the last time.Teresa sat rigid in the back seat, her breath coming in sharp, uneven gasps. Her hands were bound. Thick ropes bound against her wrists, leaving scars and too tight to slip free. The fabric of her ruined dress clung to her skin, damp from sweat and tears. She swallowed hard, forcing herself to stay calm. Panicking wouldn’t help her now.The man beside her, a broad shouldered brute with a scar running down his cheek kept a firm grip on her arm. His scent was a mix of gunpowder and cheap cologne, making her nose itch. She turned to the window, hoping to catch a glimpse of where they were going. But a hand snatched her chin, yanking her back."Don’t get any ideas, wretch," the man sneered. "You're not going anywhere."Her pulse spiked, tears swelled up her eyes. "Y... you can't get away wi

  • The Mafia and his personal Slave   His Weakness

Stefano’s POVThe glass shattered against the wall, fragments scattered in the dim light across the floor. The sharp sound echoed through the office, but no one dared to react. The men standing outside the door kept to themselves.Stefano stood at his desk, his fingers pressed against the wood, chest rising and falling with barely contained fury. He had lost her.Teresa.His grip tightened until his knuckles turned white. The weight of failure, of loss settled heavily on his heart. He had spent years building a reputation of absolute dominance over his world. Yet, in a single night, someone had dared to take what belonged to him. This went just beyond the petty games the Mafia Lord played with themselves, this was personal, he was the target and she was his only weakness.Although, his men saw Teresa as a mere slave an object that had been bought, and could be sold, or discarded at will. But she had become something more to him. He had seen the fire in her, the stubbornness, the defia

Stefano’s POVThe Paladin stood at the entrance, his smirk never wavering. His posture was relaxed, almost amused, as if Stefano’s arrival had been nothing more than an interesting twist to his night. But Stefano wasn’t here to play, he was here to kill.“You think I came here to negotiate?” Stefano’s voice was cold, his fingers tightening around the gun.The Paladin raised an eyebrow, feigning curiosity. “Didn’t you?”Stefano took a slow step forward, positioning himself between Teresa and the man in front of him. “No,” he said simply. “I came to kill you.”A short silence stretched between them before The Paladin let out a low chuckle. “Straight to the point. I do admire that about you, Stefano.” He clasped his hands behind his back, his expression one of calm indifference. “But I wonder… have you thought this through?”His tone was even, but there was something beneath it a quiet confidence that Stefano couldn't just place, as if he wasn’t the least bit concerned. Teresa’s POVThe night air was heavy with the lingering scent of gunpowder and blood, the echoes of gunfire still rang in Teresa’s ears long after the battle had ended. But even as the chaos faded behind them, her mind remained in absolute chaos. She sat stiffly in the back seat of the car, staring out the window as Vincent drove them away from the warehouse. The trees and other objects sper past her passed in a blur, streetlights and buildings but she care of any of it.The ominous memory of man dresses in black, his face was unlike anything she had ever seen, a deep scowl etched his face, his skin wrinkled from age but his body denied his age itself.Morano.The way Stefano had looked at him, like he had seen a ghost. Teresa's POV Teresa leaned back in her chair, swirling a glass of wine in her hand as Lisa stood beside her, giving out the latest reports. The dim glow of the room’s chandelier reflected in the deep crimson liquid in her glass, mirroring the reflection of the soon to be blood soaked city she was trying to control."Guillermo is making his moves," Lisa said, placing a folder on the dark mahogany table. "He’s securing his alliances with the Yakuza, and Stefano is back in the game. If we don’t act now, we’ll lose our foothold."Teresa exhaled, placing the glass down with a soft clink. "That’s what he thinks. But we move in silence, Lisa. Let the men scramble for power while we pull the strings."Lisa smirked, knowing Teresa’s mind was already ten steps ahead. "I assume you have a plan?"Teresa tapped the folder. "I do. We start by cutting Guillermo’s cash flow. His operations depend on bribes and loyalty bought with money. If we can starve his businesses, his men will scatter like bees

  • The Mafia and his personal Slave   An Alliance

Guillermo's POV Guillermo adjusted his cufflinks as he stepped into the dimly lit, smoke filled private lounge of an upscale restaurant. The Yakuza didn’t do casual meetings, they did things close to events, and this meeting was no different. The air smelled of expensive cigars and aged whiskey, the kind of ambiance designed to remind you of power.Seated across the room, three men in sharp, traditional garment covered a fourth figure, whose presence immediately commanded respect. His slicked back silver hair and measured, assessing gaze spoke of decades in the game.Takashi, the man representing the Yakuza in Rome.Guillermo approached with a confident stride, offering a respectful nod but not lowering himself beyond that. He was the King of Rome’s underground, after all. He would not bow.Takashi gestured to the seat across from him. "Guillermo. We meet at last."Guillermo sat, taking a moment to study the man in front of him. "Takashi. I appreciate you accepting my invitation."Ta

  • The Mafia and his personal Slave   A Key Figure

Teresa's POV Teresa sat in the dimly lit lounge of one of her safe houses, fingers tapping idly against the surface of her phone as she waited for Lisa’s report. She had given the order as soon as she parted ways with Ethan, her instincts telling her that the charming stranger was more than he appeared to be.A soft buzz signaled Lisa’s incoming message. Teresa opened it quickly, scanning the short but important message."No immediate ties to Guillermo. But… he’s connected to someone powerful. Still digging." She read out loud, then pursed her lips. That was enough to set her further on edge. If Ethan wasn’t Guillermo’s pawn, then who exactly was pulling his strings? She needed more information, and she was going to get it the old fashioned way, by playing the game herself. She felt happily excited for some reason, thrilled even. The next evening, Ethan had chosen a high end but secluded cafe for their meeting, the kind of place that catered to the wealthy but maintained an air of qu

  • The Mafia and his personal Slave   Mysterious Aura

Teresa's POV Teresa studied Ethan with careful eyes, her mind racing with possibilities. This man was not from Rome, that much was certain. His presence, his posture, the way his men flanked him protectively... it all screamed foreign, yet powerful. But was he an ally? An enemy? Or just an outsider who landed in the den of Mafia's, death and agony? Was he really oblivious to the game being played or he didn’t even know he was playing? She couldn’t afford to be reckless. Not now. If Ethan was connected to Guillermo, she had to tread carefully. One wrong step, and she could be exposing herself, Vendetta, and everything she had worked to build.Ethan, however, seemed completely at ease. If he was aware of the tension in the air, he didn’t show it. Instead, he smiled, a lazy, confident grin that made Teresa’s suspicion flare even stronger."You seem tense," he said smoothly. "I hope I didn’t startle you.""Not at all," Teresa responded, keeping her tone neutral. "It’s just not every day

  • The Mafia and his personal Slave   A Game

Guillermo's POV Guillermo leaned back in his chair, staring at the ceiling with a sly smile playing on his lips. If he couldn't crush the Yakuza outright, then he would make them dance to his tune. It was simple, if you couldn't destroy your enemy, turn them into your weapon. The Yakuza weren’t the problem. Teresa was. If he could paint himself as an ally, as the lesser evil in their eyes, he could maneuver them like chess pieces against her. Let them do his dirty work. And when the time was right, he’d deal with them, too.He picked up his phone and made a single call. "Send them an invitation. Tell them I want to talk." The person on the other end didn't hesitate. "Understood, Boss."Guillermo tapped his fingers against the desk. The plan was already forming in his mind. He would welcome them with open arms, show them the advantages of siding with him, and slowly weave them into his war against Teresa. They would be the sword, and he would be the hand that wielded it.And as for h

Guillermo's POVGuillermo sat back in the comfort of his chair, fingers stretched as he lost himself in the deliciously dark thoughts swirling in his mind. The past five years had been long, but now, now the game was finally shifting. Stefano was back. After all these years, after losing everything, his dear brother had finally crawled back into the world he had no place in anymore. 'How exciting', Guillermo smiled inwardly.Guillermo exhaled sharply, lips curling into a smirk as he thought about it. Five years ago, he had used Teresa to bring Stefano down. The way his brother had fallen, the rage, the pain... it had been glorious. Marvelous. Stefano who had been untouchable once, the heir to an empire. And now? Now he was nothing. But Guillermo wasn’t done. No, he would do it again. Only this time, he’d use Stefano against Teresa. The irony made him chuckle, a low, guttural sound that echoed in the quiet space of his office. The poetic irony of it all left a thrill running down his

  • The Mafia and his personal Slave   Her indifference

Stefano’s POVThe rain hit the pavement in a steady, rhythmic shower, filling the silence between Stefano and Vincent as they walked through the dimly lit alleyways of the city. It had been years since Stefano had last been in a place like this, surrounded by people who knew nothing of who he used to be.But that didn’t change the fact that he remembered. The once feared leader of the King Mafia now walked through these streets like a ghost.A nobody.Vincent led him toward their apartment that they both lived in now. There was an understanding between them, unspoken, yet clear. Stefano wasn’t the same man he used to be, and Vincent knew it. Thankfully, he had gotten back his memories soon after Stefano had told him it his ordeal that happened five years ago, not that Vincent remembered every single detail, but he was no longer lost. And with that, he had really understood just how low Stefano has fallen. But that didn’t mean he would be satisfied staying this way.Stefano clenched h

  • The Mafia and his personal Slave   A Calculated Risk

Lisa’s POVLisa stormed through the front doors of Vendetta’s estate, her fury barely contained. The echoes of her boots striking the marble floor ricocheted through the grand hall, each step fueled by frustration. The meeting had been a disaster. A joke. A complete waste of her damn time.Vincent had refused to bow. Refused to acknowledge Teresa’s dominance. Refused to submit like every other fool who knew better than to challenge Vendetta.Lisa clenched her fists as she turned the corner, barely registering the guards who stood at attention when they saw her. She didn’t care about their presence. She didn’t care about anything right now, except making sure Teresa understood just how wrong this was.As she burst into Teresa’s office, she was met with a calm, knowing gaze. Teresa sat at her desk, leaning slightly back in her chair, fingers tapping rhythmically against the polished desk. The dim light from the chandelier cast sharp shadows across her face, making her almost unreadable.

  • The Mafia and his personal Slave   Of Her

Lisa’s POVLisa hated this. She hated stepping outside the estate, hated walking through the streets where danger lurked in the shadows, and more than anything, she hated that she was on her way to meet Vincent. She didn’t trust him. Didn’t like him. Never had. Never would.Vincent was too damn rigid, too stuck up, too controlling. He was too much like her and that was the worst part. The last time they met, it had been five years ago. On that night where she had held the gun and shot Guillermo's shoulder, then drilled three holes in Morano's chest. She hoped she would end it all there, but sadly she missed it. They had crossed paths for a brief moment, Vincent had been wary, of her but eventually let her go that night, after then, she wasn't sure what happened to him again.Lisa had hated that look in his eyes because it was the same one she gave him. Now, years later, she was walking straight into his territory. She had picked the bar. A local bar as usual, barely lit, barely staff
