“Who was that? What is happening?” Storm asked, folding her hands across her chest that was beginning to beat erratically, partly from the intimate moment she had just shared with Kaden, and partly from the danger that might have finally arrived.

Storm wished that Mary had stayed with them; it would have given her some added sense of protection; it would have set a knowing in her, that she wouldn’t be harmed. This thought made Storm wonder why the gods hadn’t just sent the angels to wipe away the filth from the earth once and for all. Why send gifts in human vessels?

‘Because the earth was given to the humans as a portion. Angels descending to fight, breaks that code. They would further instill fear, rather than hope, to the people. It’s much better however when the saving comes from a human figure.’
