I step out of the car onto the damp asphalt. The salty tang of seawater and diesel filling my nose.

I take in the tangled mess of overturned containers and abandoned vehicles. Part of my security team is already here digging through the mess.

Spotting Andreas I head towards him.

"What do we know?" I ask.

"Not much yet", he replies in a resigned tone. " It was highjacked at about 3 am. Luckily, no one was killed just a bit bruised up. But there was no sign of forced entry. "

My eyes narrow at this information.

"An inside job, again."

"You know, this isn't looking too good for you, Andreas," I inform him.

"Being the head of security and all", I add sarcastically.

Andreas's expression is neutral but I notice a flicker of distress in his eyes.

"I understand your concerns, Sir. But be rest assured that I'm just as shocked at this as you are."

"Hm"

I turn to Alex, who has been watching the exchange with thinly veiled amusement.

"Send me the security footage. And question the guard

    Daisy:I snuggle deeper into my pillow. Digging my nose into it and inhaling its citrusy scent.It moves beneath me. I pause, confused by that. I wrap my shaking arms around myself as I remain crouched on the floor with my back pressed to the wall. Where's Kaiden? Is he hurt? My heart pounds in my chest as I take deep breaths to calm myself down, pressing my hands to my mouth to muffle my sobs. The door at the end of the hallway opens slowly. I press myself deeper into the wall in a bid to appear smaller. My chest feels like it's constricting, like a vice is squeezing the breath out of me. I couldn't move, couldn't think. I watch as a figure moves into the hallway, squinting to make out his identity. "Daisy" I let out a sigh of relief as the Russian accent registers in my mind. "Ivan?" I ask, my voice shaky.
