Erika's POV

"What's wrong with your friend? Why left already? I just prepare him a food," mother said, I looked to the tray she's carrying and take it.

"He already left, mom. Asher had a job to done and his boss will get mad of him," I answered.

I place down the tray to the coffee table, and then pull her to seat. After all the odd we experience in one month, maybe it's time for her to know what's the truth. The truth I've been keeping from her and terrified to open the conversation.

"You look stressed; what's wrong?" She checked my forehead, and I can see how worried she was for me.

Mom is my best friend, and she always knows when something is wrong. Even though I didn't tell her what the problem was, she could sense the worry in my voice when I called her earlier, and it bothers me that she can always tell when I'm stressed, even when I don't say a word.
