Julian’s grin widened, fingers continuing to explore the small of her back. “We will see,” he said softly with his warm breath against her skin. “But remember, you can’t hide from your feelings for too long.”

Those were the last words he spoke before letting her go, stepping back and regarding her with an infuriating look that seemed to know too much. Tasha gritted her teeth, fists on either side, trying not to lose her cool as she pulled her gaze from him and saw him exit her house. Frustration and a rush of anger coursed within her as she heard the door close behind him.
