A Cursed Blessing

“No! Stop! Please don’t! Brother!!! This is RAPE!!! Brother, STOP!!!!”

Ruth fixed Aikiz on the bed with his weight and crushed her lips with his, in hunger. 

“That is wrong, brother! KIAAAA! Please, stop!” She implored as he tore her shirt.

“Naive Aikiz,” he said, “You know damn well that I am not your real brother. And now that I know you are the Luna, I will claim your womb as mine!”

The lightning showed the devilish expression on her brother’s face. The thunder covered her scream. The storm outside matched the one inside her heart.

As he licked her neck, Aikiz screamed in fear and begged Ruth to stop, “We grew up together, Brother Ruth! Your parents took care of me! I am your sister even if you do not share blood! I’ve always been! How can you do this to me?!”

Ruth smirked ruthlessly and whispered in her ear. His cruel tone and hot breath sent a shiver all over Aikiz’s body, “I always cared about you, Aikiz, but never more than I cared about becoming Lycan. So, if you are grateful to my parents for raising a pitiful orphan like you, you must submit to my desires and give me your body.”

“But what about me?! This is MY body that you want to take by force!” she cried desperately.

“I don’t care about that, Aikiz. If you refuse me, I will torture you till you accept. And I will make you bear my children whether you want it or not!”

Aikiz almost had a heart attack from terror, “Brother Harvey will never forgive you!”

“Harvey?!” Ruth laughed “Alpha Harvey gives no sh*t about you! He kicked you from his castle because he didn’t want to have anything to do with a little thief like you!”

“Thief?!” she screamed “How dare you?!!!”

“I’ve heard from Omega Juliette that he kicked you because you stole his family’s heirloom. You know how much Alpha Harvey loved his dead mother. And yet you stole her ring! He will never forgive you for that!”

A single hot tear fell from Aikiz’s dark eye. She was disappointed and heartbroken. Harvey, the man who had been by her side since she was a child, and Ruth, the boy she grew up with as a brother, both did not believe in her innocence. They believe Juliette, a courtesan omega. And they accused Aikiz because she is a weak orphan!

Orphans who have no family or pack are seen in werewolves society as a burden. Orphans are never seen as respectful, intelligent, noble or kind. Let alone if they are wolf-less like Aikiz. In that case, they are believed to be cursed, mischievous, and lawful. 

Ruth did not care about his sister’s tears. He carried on, licking her ear and biting her neck. He thought he broke her heart enough to make her give up. But he was fatally wrong. For Aikiz may be an orphan, but she was raised in the Lycan’s Mansion by the late Luna, Harvey’s parents. Aikiz was as brave as an Alpha. And she would never allow a man to treat her like an object.

Aikiz lifted her skirt and took her gun out. She clenched her teeth, having no choice left.  “What is that, Aikiz?!” he yelled, horrified.

“Goodbye, Brother.” Aikiz shot Ruth. Gasping for air, she looked at her brother’s corpse. She almost broke down in tears, but she had no time for that. Tonight, the moon chose Aikiz to be the new Luna. Her smell changed. In some hours, all the Alphas in the city will discover that she is the queen that can make them eligible to become Lycan. In some hours, all the Alphas will fight to death to print her and claim her womb, whether she accepts it or not. So she has only some hours left to flee.

Omega Klaus woke up to a violent knocking on his door. He opened the door, rubbing his sleepy eyes, “Aikiz? Is that you? What do you want at this late hour?”

“There’s a catastrophe, Klaus!”

“Wait, what?! Get in!”

Aikiz sat on his bed crying and shaking. He knelt in front of her, worried. “What’s wrong, Aikiz?”

“The moon has just chosen me to be Luna.”

“What?!”

“And Brother Ruth tried to rape me…”

“Impossible!”

“And I think I shot him dead!”

Klaus covered his mouth with his hand shaking as well, “My lady… I am your servant, I’ve always been. And although I am just an omega, I will protect you to death.”

“Klaus… You're a real friend.” Aikiz cried.

“Do you have a plan?”

“I am not sure if Ruth is dead or not. But I am sure that he will die anyway if he doesn't get help. So we have to make them save him.”

“What?! Is that the right time to worry about him?!”

“Yes, he may have gone crazy because of my smell, but he is still my brother!”

“But if we do so, his pack will imprison you and that b*stard will get you anyway!” Klaus told her.

"If I run, another Alpha might catch me", Aikiz concluded, “We need help.”

“What about Alpha Luc?”Klaus proposed, “He is your friend and your boss. And you said taht he is someone kind.”

“No, not Luc, he is Alpha as well,” Aikiz thought out loud, “And although he is kind and good, I can’t tell what kind of monsters the instinct will call out of him. We can’t trust an Alpha.”

“But only an Alpha can protect you from another Alpha!”

“No,” Aikiz took a deep breath as she made her mind, “There’s someone else. Someone stronger than Alphas. Yet possess more self control. Someone I can truly be safe around him.”

“You can’t be talking about--”

“Yes, him.”

“No Aikiz! He is the most dangerous of them all!”

“Harvey has already announced he won’t be competing for the Lycan’s throne. There’s no reason for him to print me.”

“Still, the blood of old Lycans runs in his veins! He is the master of the Blue Pack. The Brown Pack of Ruth and the Silver Pack of Luc are some of the strongest in the city. But they still do not compare to the Royal Blue Pack! Its master must be the one who desires you the most! He will rape you and impregnate you by force even if he doesn’t want to be Lyca-”

“Don’t speak ill of him!” Aikiz interrupted him, “I do trust Harvey!”

“But going to him after what he did to you… He chose to believe a prostitute he has just met over you, who grew up close to him in the Blue Castle. He accused you of a shameful crime, humiliated you in front of Omega Juliette, and broke your heart! You can’t go back to him asking for a favour!”

Aikiz cried even louder. She felt so vulnerable and helpless, “I KNOW!!! … My heart is breaking but I have no other choice! So please, Klaus, don’t put salt on the wound! I will go to get a car. And you go to Ruth. He is in my bedroom. Don’t announce his state before I get out of the manor.”

“Yes, my lady. You can trust me.”

Aikiz hugged her friend dearly and kissed his cheek goodbye. Then she wore a black cloak and went out of the building under the night’s cover. 

Aikiz was far from the parking lot as she passed by the stable and heard the alarm siren. 

She got betrayed by Klaus.

“Find that wh*re! She must be near!” Aikiz ran into the stable and took her horse, Nanale, without having the time to saddle her.

She got on top of her, “Please, don’t betray me too, Nanale!” The horse didn’t let her mistress down. And the guards were surprised to see the Luna riding a fierce horse and heading for the mountains. 

“Go after her!”

“But we can’t drive in the mountains! They are too narrow!”

“Then shift and go after her! Don’t allow her to flee!”

Sky was dark and stormy, but Nanale didn’t stop the course. Nor did her mistress allow her to. There was no horseman as talented as Aikiz in the Brown Pack and she was running for her life. Wolves had no hope to catch her  

Finally, Nanale reached the gates of the Blue Castle. 

Aikiz hurried to the door and knocked on it with all her force. In no time, a man opened the door. Aikiz raised her head to look at him and her tongue got paralyzed. She couldn’t utter a word. The man’s blue eyes were handsome as always, but a hint of cruelty and pride made them scarier than anything that she had encountered on that stormy night. 

He let out a long breath and muttered, “I am not sure if it is audacity or is it the lack of dignity that drove you back, Aikiz.” 

“You don’t understand Brother Harvey! This is-” 

Aikiz didn’t come to finish when Harvey’s calm cold voice interrupted her, “First, it’s ‘Master’ or ‘Alpha Harvey’. I am no brother to someone like you. Second, I kicked you away, Aikiz, right? I insulted you and I told you how much I can’t stand you. So, why are you back?”

Aikiz almost broke up in tears as she murmured helplessly, “Sir… I… I need help.” Harvey immediately got it. His grimace totally changed. And he softens up, now that he sees how serious the situation is. “Did Ruth discover it?”

“That I am the Luna? Yes, he did. Tonight the moon gave me the Blessing. And my smell changed.”

Harvey bent on Aikiz and sniffed her neck, “You’re soaked wet. The rain softened the smell. But now I can get it.” 

Suddenly, his expression shifted drastically, he took the girl by the arm and pushed her inside, “Bloody hell. Get in immediately. I smell brown wolves coming!”
