Chapter 29: Arthur's Arch-Nemesis

"Table for three, please," Arthur said to the host.

I could tell he was still wound up, but his face didn't betray him. His expression barely moved from his usual flat affect, even during the taunting match.

"Of course, Mr. Morgan. Would you like your usual one by the window?"

"That would be perfect." His voice was back to the narration tone which made me relieved.

Table for three meant Taylor would be joining us instead of being picked up at the mall. I felt assured imagining the three of us together enjoying a meal. We'd been through a whirlwind of activity in the past twenty-four hours. We needed a chance to relax.

The host wiped our seats. Then he pulled the chair out for me. I slipped onto the seat. Then Arthur sat and picked up the rolled napkin.

I watched what he did with the cloth napkin and the silverware. Take out the utensils. Place them to the left and right. Put the cloth napkin on the lap.
