70. Bonds

We went to the library and every one was there.

“Ah,” I said as I walked in. They looked eager.

Zien opened a box and brought a dagger out. It looked like it was made of pure silver. My eyes widened as he put it on the desk.

"Should we do it here?"

"Maybe outside?" I said as I looked at the eager faces staring at me. They nodded and we went to the back of the pack house.

Zien placed the dagger there and they looked at me. I grabbed the stones and placed it next to dagger.

"Should we do something else?"

Nothing happened. I waited. And then the skies turned dark. It was still afternoon, but it looked like it was now night.

And then I heard it. The loud thunder. We all gasped as lightning cleaved the sky. It illuminated the dark clouds above.

A sense of awe and fear swept along me skin as I witnessed the spectacle. It was marvelous. It was beyond words.
