66. Magic

The lights were fully on when I woke up. My body shuddered. I took in a deep breath, trying to calm my heart. I saw Ares in my dream and he was running away from me. What did the dream mean? Did it mean he would find his mate, and leave me? Or was it just a token of my own fear playing with my head?

"You were crying in your dream. What did you dream?"

I looked up to see the princess.

"I don't remember. Why didn't you come back?"

"My father was being a suspicious bugger. I had to bide my time so that I won't get caught. Now, we don't have much time to wait, Elyn. You have to leave soon. I had overheard the assholes talking, and it is not anything good for you."

"I know. They told me what they are going to me. Such a nice, generous men," I said with a sarcastic frown as she removed my chains fully. This was the first time my hands were not hurting from the weight of the chain. I almost sagged in relief, my body begging to just curl down on the floor and go back to sleep.
