Hard truth

Sera paced nervously around the dimly lit office, her fingers were trembling as she clutched the crumpled note in her hand. The single message in the letter was chillingly clear:

"Your past has caught up to you—half breed!."

The words sent a shiver down her spine, it was clear that the word “halfbreed” was supposed to be an insult to her. But that made things even more puzzling than before because Sera was a full werewolf!

She turned to face Carlos who was nervously eyeing her. “Is it possible that they made a mistake? Maybe they are attacking the wrong person.”

Carlos sadly shook his head. “I wish it was that easy Sera... but you and I know that the possibility for Lycan assassins to attack the wrong target TWICE is a lie that is probably near impossible.”

“But they called me a half Breed... and I’m not a halfbreed I’m full wolf!” Sera argued.

Carlos leveled her a meaningful look. “Are you so certain about that Sera?.... with everything that has happened, from the stories I told you
