Davina pov

“What. Do. You. Think. You. Are. Doing. With. My. Mate?”

Before I knew what was happening, Draven was yanked away from me, and the sound of fists meeting flesh echoed through the room. I gasped, landing on the ground with a soft thud, my head turning toward the commotion.

“How dare you! How dare you touch her, you bastard!” Hades roared, the sickening crack of bones shattering slicing through the tense air.

My shaky hands moved to my ears in a desperate attempt to block out the sounds, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't escape them. My body felt unnaturally hot—burning, unbearable, and the crystal tattoo on my chest flared with heat, as if reacting to whatever was happening to me.

What was happening to me? The drink... It must have been the drink. I clutched my chest in pain, gasping for air, struggling to think clearly through the haze clouding my mind.

“King, please stop…” My voice barely rose above a whisper as I called out, but he didn’t hear me. The sound of H

Before I knew it, my fist had halted just inches away from her head, the air thick with tension. My eyes narrowed, and my frown deepened as I watched her stand in front of that bastard, her arms spread out and her eyes closed, as if she was willing to take the hit for him. A growl rumbled from deep within me, my lips curling into a wicked smirk before I even realized it.Without thinking, I gripped her hand and yanked her toward me, her body crashing against mine, startling her in the process.“Hades...” she blurted out in shock, hissing as my grip on her tightened.“You must really have a death wish, don't you?” I asked, my voice surprisingly calm despite the storm raging within me. I held her firmly against me. “First, you betray me, and then you shield him. What is it? Do you love him? Do you wish he was your mate instead?” I added with a cold chuckle, our faces only inches apart.Damn it, I was barely holding myself toge

Davina povI groaned, my body aching so much it felt as if I could barely move. A whimper escaped my lips as I tried to sit up, but the pain was overwhelming, making every movement excruciating. My head swam, and I fought to steady myself, gripping the bedframe for support. The world around me seemed to spin, and I couldn't help but close my eyes, hoping the pain would subside.I clutched my head and tried to remember what happened last night. Everything seemed fuzzy, and I couldn't think straight.“What do you think you are doing with my mate?“King, please stop…”“Do you love that bastard? Is that why you were so eager to act like a whore for him? Or is it that you don’t give a damn who it is—so long as they’re willing to fuck you”I gasped as memories from last night flooded my mind. Every word, every thrust, every cry of pleasure and pain echoed in my ears, and my body trembled as I recalled what Hades had done. I remembered the harsh words he had thrown at me, and yet, despite i

Kian POV“Where are you, Sebastian?”I opened my eyes, a frown forming on my lips as I stared into the distance for a brief moment, trying to control my racing heart. But no matter how hard I tried, the unease lingered.“What was that?” I muttered under my breath, my brow furrowing. It wasn’t one of those blurry nightmares I usually had. No, this time it was different — like a desperate voice whispering to me. And for some reason, it left me restless, and made my heart ache inexplicably.“Boss.” Liam’s voice snapped me back to the present, and I raised a brow, glancing to my right. He was crouched on a branch beside me, his expression cold as he bowed slightly.Running a hand through my hair, I sat up straighter on the tree branch, taking my time to yawn. "What is it this time? This better be important because you know I don’t like being disturbed during my break." My gaze locked onto his, a slow smirk tugging at the corner of my lips. Thorne POV“This is it. I’ve finally figured it out,” I muttered under my breath with a twisted smile, my gaze fixed on the boy before me. “After years of trying, I’ve finally created a wolfsbane strong enough to kill a Lycan King!”Kian's eyes widened at my statement as he stared at the bottle in front of him, disbelief etched across his face.A dark chuckle escaped my lips as I tilted my head to the side, a teasing smile curling at the edges. I raised my brows and set the glass of wine down on the table.I knew exactly why he found it hard to believe—why wouldn't I? I had spent years trying to create a wolfsbane potent enough to kill Hades. That bastard was practically unkillable. Whether it was because the Moon Goddess had personally chosen or blessed him, I didn't know. But he was not only ridiculously strong—he was immune to every version of wolfsbane I had concocted.“I've tried for years, Kian. Years and years to create a wolfsbane powerful enough to kill Hades,” I muttered, my

Running a hand through my hair, I struggled to keep my thoughts in check, but with each passing second, my focus slipped further away.“Cyrus,” I called out, but silence greeted me.Again.A mocking sneer spread across my lips, and I scoffed, reaching for the glass of whiskey. I drowned it in seconds, feeling the burning taste in my throat.Cyrus, that bastard, had been ignoring me since yesterday. No matter how hard I tried to connect with him, he remained silent, completely cutting off our bond. I knew he was angry, but I didn't care. He would get over it eventually. He was a fool—one filled with useless emotions that held no importance. He was upset about what I had done to Davina last night, but he should be grateful I chose not to kill her. That should have been her punishment, yet I held back solely because of Cyrus. Killing my mate with my own hands would affect me me one way or the other and I was

Davina povI woke up earlier today—well, if you could categorize staying awake all night as waking up.Last night, I couldn't sleep no matter how hard I tried, so I gave up and decided to stay up instead, rethinking my plans. The mistakes I might have made, the gaps in the guards' rotation I could have overlooked, and the next pack I planned to visit in search of Sebastian filled my thoughts.Yet my plans seemed flawless, which was a good thing—at least I hoped so.Today marked the final part of the hunting game, and everyone would be busy, including Hades, the king. It presented the perfect opportunity to escape while they were distracted.I couldn't help but let my mind wander to Draven, a frown tugging at my lips as Eva's words from yesterday echoed in my mind. "Beta Draven is going to be executed tomorrow, at the conclusion of the hunting game. From what I've heard, his crime is betrayal against the king. It's a grave offense, Davina. I doubt the king will show mercy."I shook m

Hades povMy heart felt heavy, and I couldn’t shake the unease that had settled in my chest. I wasn’t sure if it was because Draven’s execution was set for today or if it was something else entirely. Either way, I hated this feeling. It felt suffocating.“Alpha, you were saying something?” Felix’s voice snapped me out of my daze, and I blinked, realizing I had stopped speaking for a moment.I cleared my throat and narrowed my eyes before speaking, "After the hunting game is over, bring him out for execution. Don’t make any mistakes." My voice was low and gruff as I forced the words out.Felix nodded, his expression unreadable, but there was a flicker of sadness in his eyes as he disappeared to follow my orders.Running a hand through my hair, I leaned back in my seat, my mind wandering. I groaned, running my hand through my hair in frustration as I sank onto the ground, trying not to break into tears. But how could I not? I was lost, hungry, and scared.I should've expected it to turn out this way, to be honest. Why? Because I was blind, and I didn't know this route well enough to navigate it easily. Hell, what was I even saying? The boundaries were vast and confusing. The last time I was here, I was just a kid—and I got lost with that boy.At least I wasn't alone then, but now I was in these eerie woods by myself. Evangelina pov.“How could this be!?” I screamed at Liam, who immediately dropped to his knees, bowing his head in submission. His face remained expressionless, his silence only fueling my rage. But I wasn’t going to calm down—not this time. This time, I had messed up—really bad.“I told you to hire someone to scare her a little, to create a scandal so they’d be seen together in the changing room—not for someone to assault her like that!”“Please forgive me, madam,” Liam apologized again. My eyes narrowed into a glare, and I fought the urge to pick up something and throw it straight at him.Ugh! This is bad.So bad that, for the first time, I felt fear creeping into my chest.Earlier at the boutique, I had come up with a simple plan—to ruin that blind girl’s reputation by hiring a thug to sneak in, making it seem like she had been caught cheating on the king again. That was it.He wasn’t supposed to hurt her. He wasn’t even supposed to touch her.I shivered as the image of her unconsc

How dare you agree to this? How dare you, after I warned you not to harm her?!” Caleb’s furious growl echoed in my head, and I felt him fight for control. This time, he was serious—dead set on taking over. His force was relentless, making it harder for me to resist.I kept my expression blank as Evangelina, Ethan’s daughter, spoke, clearly trying to divert Theo’s and my attention.“I love the new collection this season. It’s so pretty! I’m going to buy a lot of clothes from you this time, Theo.”Theo, a man with long black hair, simply offered a polite bow.“I’d be honored to have you do that, Lady Evangelina,” he said, the corner of his lips tilting into a smile.Almost instantly, Evangelina’s two friends blushed at the sight of the strikingly handsome man.I frowned, my hands clenching at my si

Davina pov. Disclaimer: Attempted mention of assault. "Scream, and you die." My body went deadly still, my heart pounding so hard against my chest that I could hear it. The stranger’s hand covered my mouth—my nose. I could barely breathe, but what terrified me even more was something else entirely. Eva had been outside when the stranger entered. Which meant the thud I had heard earlier… Had been her body hitting the ground. Eva… Was she okay? “Fuck… you’re really something. Your body is to die for,” the stranger murmured, and my eyes widened as I felt his hand on me. That’s when I realized—I was naked, only in my underwear. Shit. Shit. This was bad. Really bad. I groaned as his filthy hands roamed over me, touching everywhere—my waist, my butt. He was practically seizing me, taking his time. “Mmm—” I struggled, trying to move, but it was useless. He was twice my size, his grip unyielding, his strength undeniable. I knew, just from the way he had lifted me into the air earl

Davina pov.“Oh my goddess! That dress looks so beautiful on you. You should definitely buy it, Evangelina. It makes your eyes pop.”One of Evangelina’s friends, Camille, squealed in delight as the sound of fabric slipping on and off their bodies reached my ears.“Anything looks good on Evangelina, but yes, that dress really suits you, babe. You should definitely get it.” The other one, Esther commented.“Oh really? Thank you, girls. You’re too nice, haha,” Evangelina said, her voice dripping with fake sweetness.I sighed, resting my head on my hand as I sat uncomfortably on the couch, forced to listen to their mindless chatter.Eva stood not far from me, and I could tell she was just as uncomfortable, but she remained silent.I didn’t say anything either. For the past hour, Evangelina and her friends had ignored me as though I weren’t even there—which, honestly, was fine by me. But what wasn’t fine was them refusing to let me leave. When I brought up the idea of leaving, Evangelina,

Davina pov. “Oh, don’t say that. That’s mean. Anyone can shop here. Plus, she’s the king’s mate, right, Davina?” Silence. I could feel everyone’s gaze on me, especially both Sebastian and Theo. They were all waiting to see how I would respond, anticipating a reaction—waiting for a show. But I don’t give them the satisfaction. I’ve learned that the best way to keep your emotions and thoughts hidden is to remain unaffected by provocations, and so… “How could you—” “Good afternoon, Lady Evangelina. It’s lovely to see you here. And yes, I am shopping for clothes. I assume you are doing the same?” I smile, cutting Eva off while giving Evangelina a light bow, maintaining the poise of a dignified woman. I didn’t want any drama, especially in a place like this. According to Eva, this was where all the elites came to shop, and if I reacted or did something wrong, it wouldn’t just reflect badly on me but also on the king. I couldn't give them the satisfaction, couldn't let their words aff

Davina pov.The car came to a stop in front of the building, and almost instantly, I straightened up, my body going rigid. I took a deep breath, trying to calm my racing nerves, but it was easier said than done—especially when I knew I was about to get into trouble. No, not about to—I was going to be in trouble.Eva had told me that all kinds of people shopped here—Ministers, Alphas, Beta wives, and their children. That meant I had no right to step foot inside. Even if I had once been an Alpha’s daughter, that life was long gone. Now, I was nothing more than a slave—a slave who had to keep his identity a secret.“We’re here, madam,” Sebastian’s voice pulled me from my thoughts. I took a deep, steady breath as the door beside me opened, and a hand stretched out toward me.I blinked, momentarily caught off guard, my gaze drifting downward in hesitation.“Davina, his hand…” Eva prompted, urging me to take it.Reluctantly, I reached out, my fingers brushing against Sebastian’s. • The Lycan king’s blind mate   111|I highly doubt that.

Davina pov.Awkward.That was the only way to describe whatever was happening right now. As the car moved down the road, silence filled the air. No one spoke—not even Eva, who sat beside me, as if she could sense the tension radiating between me and Sebastian.I fiddled with the hem of my dress, biting my bottom lip, my head lowered in an attempt to distract myself. But it wasn’t working. Sebastian sat in the passenger seat, his gaze flickering back and forth from the rearview mirror. I could feel his eyes on me and it made me uncomfortable.Thinking about it, it actually felt like I had met him before. Now that I no longer associated him with my Sebastian, it was as if I had come to my senses and could finally see clearly (the irony). His voice and scent, especially, felt familiar. Yet, for some reason, I couldn't place them—where I had met him before or if I truly knew him.“We are almost at the boutique, madam. However, if anyone were to possess it, it would be the Veil Auction House—the most influential auction house in the kingdom, known for acquiring rare and priceless artifacts. Still, the Lunaria’s Grace is so rare and powerful that I highly doubt they actually have it. The doctor may have simply mentioned it in a desperate attempt to save his life. That is my assessment of the matter, Your Majesty."My fingers paused as Felix fell silent, his head slightly bowed as he sat in the front seat of the car, his tone respectful yet cold.I had asked for his opinion on the Lunaria’s Grace—whether it was real and if it could

Davina pov.I sat on my bed, a light expression on my face as a smile tugged at my lips. The night had gone well—I had enjoyed myself, and for the first time in a while, I had celebrated my birthday with laughter, drinks, and cake. It was a rare moment of happiness."Thank you, Father. Thank you, Mother, for coming back. You gave me the best present today," I murmured, setting aside all the gifts except for Eva’s and Rylie's, telling myself I would open them tomorrow.Remembering Eva’s gift was smaller, like a box, I reached for it. Carefully unwrapping the present, my fingers traced over the contents. A cold surface met my touch, and I instantly recognized it—a bracelet.A soft smile curled my lips as I held it up before slipping it onto my wrist, feeling a deep sense of gratitude. It must be beautiful. Such a shame I couldn’t see it.I reached for Rylie’s present, remembering how he had bragged about it earlier. He had insisted I would absolutely love it and even told me to thank hi
