Evangeline's POV

“Daddy, please. Can I just come with you? I promise I won’t do anything, I would just be a good girl,” I pleaded, my lips forming a perfect pout as I stared at him. But, as usual, he didn’t even look up from the papers on his desk.

“Daddy, I’m talking to you! Please, I really want to meet the king today. Can I go with you to the palace?” This time, I clung to his arm, swinging it side to side with a sheepish smile, hoping to break his resolve. Yet again, I was ignored. Like I was invisible!

I hated being ignored. What I despised even more was not getting what I wanted.

“I’m talking to you! Stop acting like you can’t hear me!” I shrieked, my frustration boiling over as I grabbed the files from his desk and flung them to the floor. Papers scattered in every direction, but I wasn’t done. “Listen to me when I’m talking! I already said I was sorry for last time!”

I reached for more things to throw—pens, folders, anything within reach. When there was nothing left, I turned

Davina’s POV“Come in,” I heard Hades' cold voice from behind the door, and my heart involuntarily skipped a beat. Taking a deep breath, I opened the door and stepped inside.“Your Majesty, I’m here to bring your shirt,” I murmured under my breath, my voice barely audible. I felt his sharp gaze flicker toward me, but then he turned away, acting as though I wasn’t there. Keeping my head lowered, I walked to the bed, my hand stretching forward as I carefully set the freshly ironed shirt down from the tray I was holding.I turned to leave, but his voice stopped me in my tracks. Quickly, I turned around and bowed, though his next words made my eyebrows arch in surprise.“Come here and help me change.”I gasped at the unexpected request. Helping him change wouldn’t have been unusual—I was a servant, after all, and assisting the king with his needs was part of my duties. But what startled me was that Hades had ignored me for the past three days since the attack. Whenever I came to his chamb

Davina’s POV A scream tried to escape my lips, but all I could manage was a sharp gasp. I shut my eyes and braced myself for the inevitable fall, but before I could hit the ground, a firm hand seized my arm, halting me mid-descent. “Oh goddess, you have to be careful,” an unfamiliar female voice said lightly behind me. “It could be really dangerous if you fell, you could break a bone or two, or worse, you could die.” It wasn’t a mistake. That was the first thought that came to my mind. It couldn’t be—because it was a deliberate shove from behind. “Are you okay? You were just about to fall,” the person asked with a sigh, pulling me to safety. I would have believed it was a sincere question if it weren’t for the slight excitement and mockery dripping from her voice. I clenched my fist by my side and took a deep breath to calm myself. I didn’t want to react, not like I did with Stella and Marie. I couldn’t afford anyone finding out about my identity, so I had to be careful. “Thank

He jabbed me in the side with his elbow, nearly knocking the wind out of me. “Well? Is she here?”I groaned, clutching my ribs. “I don’t know, and I don’t want to know. Last time I checked, my job description didn’t include bait for little demons.” I whispered and his highness turned to me, his eyes narrowing like he was plotting something. “Go check, Draven.” “Nope. Not happening.” I shook my head so hard it was a miracle my neck didn’t snap. “I can’t do it, Your Highness. Please I like being alive.”He jabbed me again and smirked with an eyeroll. “You’re exaggerating. Just go look!” “I’m not exaggerating. Last time, she threw a rock at me because I didn't want to tell her where you were hiding, A rock, your highness! And then she laughed like a tiny, maniacal goblin. I’m still traumatized.” He rolled his eyes yet again but didn’t get up. He peeked from behind the

Draven’s POVPresent day.“Oh dear, you haven’t changed one bit, Evangeline. You’re still the spoiled brat you always were.” I remarked, stepping out of the shadows and into the scene where the drama was unfolding."Beta Draven," everyone murmured in greeting as I approached. My eyes flicked to Davina for a moment, and I couldn’t help but scoff slightly. This girl was a magnet for trouble—every time I saw her, she was either being assaulted, bullied, or caught up in some kind of chaos. And every time, I knew she was only pretending to be weak, as if she couldn’t fight or defend herself. The reason? I didn’t know, and that was exactly what intrigued me. I wanted to uncover the truth, and I was determined to find out."Beta Draven!" Evangeline’s voice snapped my attention away from Davina. I frowned as my gaze landed on her, instantly assaulted by the blindingly bright pink she was wearing—or barely wearing, to be more precise. The color was so loud it could probably be seen from space.

But it wasn’t long before Thorne orchestrated the attack on the late king and queen to seize the throne.”“Is this all the information you’ve gathered?” I asked, my tone icy as my eyes narrowed, a frown forming on my lips. “There’s something missing. I distinctly remember Father mentioning Thorne’s source of wolfsbane, but there’s no mention of it here.”Ethan shook his head “He wasn't able to find the source before the attack, your majesty”.I took a slow, deliberate breath, tapping my fingers rhythmically on the armrest of the throne. My gaze locked onto Ethan, a single brow arched, the corner of my lips curling into a sharp, knowing smirk.“You know what happens t

Davina’s POV“Test her blood and find out what rank she is—if she’s truly an omega or something higher.”My heart hammered against my chest, and for a second, I wondered if everyone else could hear it too. I couldn’t believe what had just come out of Beta Draven’s mouth.Check my rank? He wanted to test my blood to determine what rank I belonged to. Why? Of course, it was because he suspected something.I wanted to bolt out of the door and run out of the clinic to goddess knows where but I stopped myself because it would definitely look more suspicious if I did that. Just stay calm, Davina, stay calm.“Rank?” Rylie asked, his voice laced with confusion. “But isn’t she an omega? Why would you need to check her rank?”I nodded along with Rylie, grateful for his sense of logic. I turned my head in Draven’s direction, focusing on the steady rhythm of his breathing. His gaze bore into me, like he thought I could somehow see it.“Yes, Beta Draven. I am merely an omega,” I said, keeping my

Davina’s POVJust as I shifted, ready to make my escape, Rylie’s voice sliced through the tension. “The results are out, Beta Draven, and—holy Moon Goddess in a tutu, it’s the k-king.” A heavy silence filled the air, as if the world had been paused by an invisible hand. Then, suddenly, it felt like someone hit play. A gasp escaped me as I reached for the edges of the bed, my heart pounding in panic. I tried to stop myself from falling, but it was too late. I hit the ground with a loud thud as pain shot through my buttocks. I fought the urge to rub it and to whine as embarrassment burned through me, feeling as the weight of everyone’s gaze pinned me down, leaving me frozen in place. It was humiliating—truly humiliating—but I had no time to dwell on it. The test results were out, and to make matters worse? Hades was here. He was the one who had warned me to keep our bond a secret, not to let anyone know we were mates."K-King, my room is that way," I blurted out before I could stop myself. He was heading up the stairs, but my room wasn’t up there—only his was."And who said we were going to your room?" Davina povSomething was horribly wrong.I couldn't pinpoint when it started, or how it all began, but I knew something was off. It started when a maid had approached Eva. She mentioned that her brother, Emmanuel, was looking for her. Eva had hesitated, reluctant to leave me alone, but Rylie assured her he would stay by my side. That was until he received an emergency call from the pack’s clinic and had to rush out.He didn’t want to leave, but I reassured him. I wasn’t a child. I could stay right where I was. After that, everything became a blur. Someone—no, Stella—had come up to me with a tray, offering a drink. I didn’t want to take anything from her, not especially after she had bullied me, but she insisted, saying that the king had noticed I hadn’t been drinking and asked her to bring me orange juice. Reluctantly, I took the drink, trusting that it was harmless. But only a few minutes after drinking it, my body began to react. A heat spread through me, intense and burning, as if

The king has graciously prepared a small celebration for everyone."The crowd erupted into cheers as people began making their way back to the palace, their excited chatter filling the air. I kept my head bowed, my face burning hot. If my cheeks got any redder, I might as well have been mistaken for a ripe tomato."Did you hear it last night?" someone whispered, their voice carrying just enough for me to catch."The screams? Oh, everyone heard it. 10 years agoHades povEverything was supposed to be boring today. That was why I had escaped from the hunting game to sneak in some sleep. But as I looked at the girl groaning while trying to sit up on the ground, I couldn’t help but feel amused—and a little intrigued.Usually, people would fawn over me and bend to my every whim, eager to please and let me have whatever I desired. At first, it was thrilling—having everything handed to me without question. But over time, it grew tiresome, predictable, and unbearably dull. Then, when I was named the next in line to be the Lycan King, it only got worse. Suddenly, the world’s eyes were on me, every move scrutinized, every word echoed back like gospel. It was suffocating, maddening—a constant pressure that left no room to breathe, let alone be myself."Are you crazy?!" the girl snapped, her eyes narrowing into a sharp glare as she shot up so quickly I could hear the sound of her bones cracking. She froze at the noise, her mouth opening an

10 years agoDavina pov“Help! Help me!” I screamed, clutching the tree branch as if my life depended on it. And, well, if you think about it, it really did. Because once I let go of this branch, I'd either fall to my doom or take a nasty tumble that would probably involve some broken bones and a very bruised ego. My breath was coming in panicked gasps, my heart was beating a little faster than necessary, and I was starting to question how I ended up in such a ridiculous situation.“I hate you for luring me into this trap!” I hissed, glaring at the bird in my hand, which I had somehow named Shelly—yes, Shelly. I don’t know why, I just did. Shelly, the bird who led me up this towering tree that I was now precariously clinging to, barely holding on for dear life. How did I end up here? How did a ten-year-old even climb this tree without being completely ridiculous?Well, it all started innocently enough. I was walking along with the maids and my utterly annoying, spoiled four-year-old y

  • The Lycan king’s blind mate   66|Tell me you are mine.

Davina povToday had been... something.Breakfast with the king had been weird, to say the least. And I’m not only talking about the Alpha seated beside me who couldn’t stop boasting about how powerful and wealthy he was. I maintained respect and control, nodding politely as he spoke. But at some point, when his hand slid under the table, grazing closer and closer to my inner thigh, that control began to slip.I froze, my breath hitching as I struggled to decide what to do. My throat felt tight, and no words came to mind. I thought I’d have to endure it, to sit there silently and take it, when suddenly, Hades’ laugh rang through the hall.It wasn’t the kind of laugh that brought joy or eased tension. No, it was dry, devoid of humor, and cold enough to send a shiver down my spine.I quickly realized something bad was about to happen. It always did when he laughed like that. What was going to happen."Goodnight, Davina," Eva said softly, her hand gently patting my head as she tucked me

Hades povI watched as her eyes widened in horror, glancing toward my direction. For a moment, I couldn’t help but wonder if she could truly see, given how accurately she could pinpoint where someone was based on their gaze. The other alphas at the table exchanged glances between her and me, their expressions a mixture of curiosity and confusion. None of them dared to start eating—not yet, not until I took the first bite. They called it respect, but honestly, I couldn’t care less about their so-called etiquette. My attention was solely on her.Earlier, I had been curious about how she would react to the whispers and venomous words thrown her way. I thought it might be amusing to see her squirm under the weight of their stares, to watch her falter. But as each second passed, I realized how wrong I was. My restraint was slipping, and with every insult, my urge to silence those disrespectful fools grew stronger. I was close—so close—to having their heads roll off the ground until Draven

Davina povThe silence seemed like it would stretch on for an eternity, but then, like the flick of a switch, the murmurs and hushed whispers began as I stood frozen in place, unable to move under his intense gaze."Is that the blind girl the king likes?" A woman's voice cut through the chatter, her tone low but loud enough for me to hear as her eyes sized me up like I was some strange exhibit at a zoo."I mean, it must be her. Who else have you seen with white hair and eyes like hers?" Another voice scoffed, and I could practically feel her eyes burning holes into me.What did the king even see in her? I heard she was a servant before this. She looks like a freak. And she’s blind, isn’t she?" The biting words from the women surrounded me, their judgment clear as daylight. Then came the men."Damn, she looks hot. Look at those curves in that dress," one male voice commented shamelessly, sparking a burst of laughter from the others."I can see why the king’s interested. She’s... unique

And I overslept.Panic surged through me as I whipped my head toward the spot where Hades had been sleeping last night, but the bed was empty. Of course, he’d gotten up early and left. Hades povI closed the file and tossed it onto the table, rubbing the bridge of my nose in frustration.Leaning back in my seat, I shut my eyes in an attempt to relax, my fingers drumming rhythmically against the desk. The silence stretched endlessly, much like the pile of work that never seemed to stop growing. And the reason for this endless workload? The hunting game set to begin tomorrow. A competition where all the packs would showcase their strengths, tactics, and skills. It would stretch on for an entire week—seven days of utter stress, interruptions, and unwanted company. The three things I despised most.“Pfft, we have events like this every year! All the packs always show up. Why does Dad insist on going through all this trouble?
