Xavier's POV:

But as the days passed, the longing for Uriah became unbearable. I missed her laughter, her warmth, and the way she knew me better than anyone else.

I couldn't ignore the fact that I still loved her, and I couldn't keep denying myself the chance to talk to her.

One evening, as the sun set on the horizon, I made a decision.

I needed to see Uriah and find out if there was any hope left for us. The thought of facing her both excited and terrified me, but I couldn't let fear control me anymore.
