Uriah POV:

The sound of my baby's gentle cooing filled the room as I carefully cradled her in my arms as I was still sore from giving birth.

I had barely recovered from the injuries inflicted upon me by Nabitha when Xavier entered the room with a grave expression on his face.

"My love ," he said, his voice filled with concern. "There's something you need to know. Nabitha... she escaped."

My heart skipped a beat as fear and anger surged through me.

How could Nabitha have gotten away?

I had hoped that after the battle, she would be defeated once and for all.

"What do you mean she escaped?" I asked, my voice trembling with a mixture of unspeakable emotions.

"We had her cornered. How did she manage to slip away?"

Xavier sighed heavily, his gaze filled with remorse. "I underestimated her cunning and resourcefulness. She had a confidant named Victor who helped her retreat into the darkness of the forest. They vanished without a trace."

I clenched my fists, my jaw set in determination.

"Impressive," she conceded, a hint of grudging respect in her voice. "You might be of use to us after all. Follow me, and we'll discuss the details further."As we walked deeper into the pack territory, I listened carefully to their conversations, hoping to glean any hints about their plans or weaknesses. Uriah's POV: I looked around the house, noticing an unfamiliar face among the people bustling about. Curiosity piqued, I approached one of my servants and inquired about the stranger. "Who is this person?" I asked, gesturing towards the man. "He is the second-hand man of the Alpha of the pack called Mineg," the servant replied. The name struck no chord within me, as I was unfamiliar with Mineg and his pack. Nonetheless, my instincts told me to remain cautious. I had learned not to trust easily, especially when it came to unfamiliar wolves. As I continued my day, going about my tasks, I caught sight of Mineg looking in my direction. His gaze held a mix of intrigue and something else that I couldn't quite discern. A smile played upon his lips before he turned away, leaving me with a sense of unease. I averted my gaze, dismissing his presence from my mind. I had no interest in getting involved with any wolves from other packs, especially not now, when our focus needed to

It was important to hold on to those memories, to find solace in them amidst the chaos that surrounded us.As I sat with my maids, discussing the past adventures and joys we had experienced together, one of them suggested that we visit the famous bar within the pack. The idea sparked intrigue and excitement among the maids, but I hesitated."I appreciate the suggestion," I began, my voice filled with caution, "but as Luna, it might not be advisable for me to go there. There's a chance of being recognized by Nabitha or one of her men."One of my maids, ever persuasive, chimed in, "But, Luna Uriah, you deserve some time to unwind and enjoy yourself. Uriahs POV:After my intense confrontation with Alpha Denzer, the days that followed were surprisingly calm and peaceful – or at least as peaceful as they could be in such a grim situation. I had made a choice, a difficult one, to act like a devoted mate to Denzer for the sake of my son, Arion. While I couldn't bear the thought of being intimate with him, I had to keep up the act to keep my son safe.Denzer seemed to give me space, and I was grateful for that. He didn't push himself on me, and I took advantage of this by keeping my distance whenever he tried to be close. I always found an excuse or pretended to be occupied with some task, making sure there was a barrier between us at all times. It was a delicate balance, not too submissive, but not too rebellious either. I knew that the moment I resisted too much, it could endanger Arion's life.In the days that followed, I spent most of my time with Arion. Alpha Denzer allowed me to be with him, and I cherished every moment we ha

Xavier's POV:I immediately summoned the pack members and relayed my suspicions. "Anya might have acted through a proxy," I explained. "It's time we find out who might have helped her."Lucas and the others nodded in agreement, and the search took a new direction. We questioned every pack member, and it wasn't long before we found a lead—a young wolf who seemed nervous and evasive."Tell me the truth," I demanded, staring into the young wolf's eyes. "Did you have any involvement in Uriah's kidnapping?"His gaze shifted, and he hesitated before finally confessing. "Yes, Alpha. Anya coerced me into helping her. She threatened my family if I didn't do as she said."My heart sank, realizing that Anya's web of deception had ensnared others as well. "You will be forgiven if you cooperate fully," I said sternly. "Tell me everything you know about the kidnapping."He hesitated, fear still evident in his eyes, but he eventually provided valuable information. He revealed the location where Any

Lucas was one of my most trusted advisors, and I knew I could rely on his judgment. He entered the room promptly, bowing respectfully. "Alpha Xavier, you called for me?""Yes," I replied, "I need you to gather a team of our best trackers and investigate the place where Uriah was last seen with Anya before she was kidnapped."Lucas furrowed his brow. "But Anya claimed that Uriah willingly left with Alpha Denzer on her own."I fixed him with a cold look. "Anya had hidden herself and her ambitions very well. She wouldn't make up a story about Uriah leaving of her own free will with Alpha Denzer."Lucas hesitated for a moment, then nodded in understanding. "You're right, Alpha. But I couldn't afford to be swayed by emotions. I needed answers. She stammered, "Uriah.
