All she felt was cold after that cruel betrayal.
Fiona glared at the floor with her hands fisted on her sides. She hated that they made her wear a skimpy piece of trash. The Black lingerie sticks to her body like a second skin and covers little to nothing.
She peered down at her bosoms which were almost spilling out of the insult in the name of a bra. They also made her wear a see-through finest netted dress that reached her ankles and then they forced her to wear stilettos.
What would they make her do? A ramp walk!
Inhaling sharply she tried to stay composed. Her hair was done in beautiful curls but they didn't do much on her face. Just a light shade of lip color and that was all, she was glad though.
Fear coiled her heart in its vicious clutches. She had prepared herself for this day all night after the failed attempt to escape but it seemed like all of it went down the drain because she was nervous.
The back room was buzzing with all the pets, girls and boys. Same as her age. They all turned 18 so it was time for their auction.
"Number 32, come here." The worker lady said.
Fiona threw a glance at her but didn't move from her spot. Her eyes fell on the shackles which that woman was holding.
She hated how they called them by their listed numbers instead of their names. But this was the reality. They were like animals, they weren't supposed to have names until their so-called masters gave them one.
Someone roughly grabbed the nape of her neck. "Behave, you dirty shit!" Patrick growled as he yanked her to the woman and held her hands out as that lady restrained her wrists.
Just when Patrick let her go Fiona threw the sharpest glare at him causing him to raise his hand to strike her but the pet mistress grabbed his hand and stopped him. "Don't damage the goods," She hissed as Patrick gnashed his teeth while lowering his head.
He had beaten her enough last night and then he crushed her hopes by making that witch heal her. When she was brought back to the building Pet Mistress had only smirked at her and it had sent chills down her spine. She was kept locked in the dungeons the whole night and she wasn’t given any food or a sip of water either.
The mistress faced Fiona as she gazed at her with venom. It was obvious she hated Fiona to the core. If it was up to her, she would've already sent her to the slaughterhouse and requested the butcher to give Fiona a painful death but the pet Mistress just has one role and that was to train these pets to be submissive little puppies and kittens but unfortunately, Fiona turned out to be a tough nut to crack.
Not only the mistress and Patrick, but everyone else also hates her. Even human pets too. Why? Just because she wants to fight for her freedom. She refused to succumb to these monsters.
She hated how the humans had succumbed to the fact that they'd lost against these predators and they could do nothing. Their mentality has deteriorated to just being slaves and pets. But that never implied that she has to do the same.
Fiona wasn't scared of death. She knew it would come to all the humans one day so why fear it? And most importantly why live in constant fear of these creatures? She had promised herself that as long as she would live, she’ll try to escape and never give up because she believes one day she would surely succeed.
They may be powerful but if humans just stop getting scared of death, they'll be stronger. Mentally and spiritually. After all, in the end. If a human wants, they could always have the power of killing themselves. Because Fiona would never give this satisfaction to any of these predators.
The mistress grabbed Fiona's cheeks roughly. Her claws extended but she didn't press them into her cheeks.
"This is the last time I'll see your pathetic face. You don't even know what's coming your way," She smirked sinisterly as her eyes shined with joy.
Fiona’s heart pounded wildly against her ribcage. Mistress has told her multiple times that she would choose the worst psychotic master for her who will tame and break her spirit. As a human, the thought of it terrified Fiona but she didn't show it. She just glared back at the mistress that day and told her to give her all in.
That night Fiona was flogged hundred times, she fainted twice throughout the torture and woke up again but she refused to let out a single scream. She has become accustomed to it. The pain was a part of her life. For ten long years, she has been tolerating all this.
When she was a kid, she used to scream and beg for mercy but they wouldn't stop, so her mind concluded not to give them satisfaction from her screams because, in the end, they would flog her anyway. But what she found out by this hypothesis and test was that her silence pisses them off and they take it as a challenge, they hurt her more just to earn a scream out of her.
When she was younger, she used to break at the start only but eventually her tolerance of bearing pain increased which boosted their frustration as well. They started starving her and she became weak. They used to find different methods of torturing.
Thrice.
She was saved from the brink of being sent to the slaughterhouse thrice thanks to the mistress, just because she believes Fiona would be sold at a high price for her feisty nature. She said that there were werewolves who loved to tame bitches like her.
But eventually, when she turned 17, they stopped hurting her physically. Just because the goods can't be damaged for the auction. They started feeding pets good food full of proteins and stuff.
Except for last night.
And just like that, all the pets have gotten into good shape. Their once malnourished bodies were now healthy and glowing. And this was also one of the main reasons some women in this place started hating Fiona. She heard them saying why Fiona was lucky because she has such nice breasts.
It almost made Fiona scoff because big breasts won't help her fight those monsters, it would only attract the worst of predators. So she wasn't lucky, but rather unlucky.
"Same feelings," Fiona muttered under her breath but the mistress heard it. Of course werewolves' top-notch senses.
She threw the sharpest glare at Fiona before jerking her face away with nastiness.
"Chain them up!" The mistress spat.
All the girls stood in their designated lines but Fiona had to be dragged as she was made to stand with the other three girls in line.
All of them were waiting to be chained quietly but only Fiona was being held there forcefully by Patrick. He was standing right behind her waiting for her to make the smallest mistake so he could make her behave.
Her line was towards the back, so they would go out in the end.
Pet Mistress' workers came forward and like obedient dogs, everyone forwards their shackles-clad wrists, and that woman chains their shackles up with a single chain per line.
When a woman came to a pause in front of Fiona, she glowered at her only for Patrick to step forward as he roughly and rather forcefully interlinked her shackles to the chain before locking it up securely. He did a double-check on the locks which almost made her scoff.
Though she appeared all cool and composed from the outside. But she was terrified within. She didn’t want to be auctioned. She has never considered this as a possibility. For a whole year, she was sure her plan would work and she’ll escape but Susie betrayed her and destroyed her hopes.
She stared at her binds and tears brimmed her eyes. She couldn’t escape now. The whole building would be full of those elite werewolves who love to attend such parties and auctions where humans were their entertainment.
Fiona noticed as the Pet Mistress stepped at the front, clapping her hands she garnered everyone's attention. "Out there are the most powerful werewolves of the elite class. I'd recommend you not to piss them off and be on your best behavior. They won't hesitate to kill you if you were such as to look in their eyes for a little longer," She said in her sweet voice laced with hidden venom.
Fiona noticed how almost all of the girls and boys shivered in fear. They were scared of these monsters even when they knew they'd be slaughtered mercilessly at the age of 30 only if they were lucky enough to live that long.
It was also a common occurrence that the majority of pets die in the early days of being bought. This simply meant these beasts were cruel and relentless, hence this increased the process of forced breeding among humans in the breeding camp.
She clenched and then eased her jaw with a deep breath.
"Alright prepare yourselves, we are heading out in a minute," She said loudly as everyone tried to calm their erratic hearts down.
Tears brimmed her eyes but she refused to let them fall. Of course, she knew this day was coming but she was supposed to succeed in her escape, nothing was going according to her plan, and she was scared. But she won't let them notice it.
Pet Mistress had made sure to make her life a living hell for her defiance and bad behavior but knowing that she had chosen the worst buyer for her was making her anxious.
Fiona knows that there'll be more people to bid on her so she hopes some normal beast would buy her rather than the one pet Mistress threatened her about.
She noticed that the lines were made in accordance with height and body shape.
Pet Mistress walked out and the first line followed behind her, Susie wasn’t in any of the lines as Fiona glared at the floor. She could see almost everyone had glossy eyes and they were controlling their tears. They've heard that pet masters like those pets who cry and beg for mercy so if anyone cries tonight, they'll only be increasing their chances of being bought.
She inhaled sharply when it was the turn of her line and they were escorted out by Patrick who walked right beside her.
She deliberately pulled slightly at the shackles causing the chain to be pulled and all the girls wavered slightly gasping. Patrick flashed her his glowing cruel eyes as she rolled her eyes.
Fiona noticed how the first girl in the line immediately wiped her tears, she looked at Fiona thankfully because she just bought a few seconds for the girl before stepping on the stage. Because if that girl had stepped on the stage with tears. She would've been bought first.
Fiona shut her eyes with a hiss as bright lights fell on them harshly. She slowly blinked her eyes and tried to adjust her vision. She could see nothing in the audience because there was just pitch-black darkness.
Were there even those beasts sitting down there?
All the lines stood at their designated spots just like they were thought yesterday.
A worker opened the binds of the first person who was a very timid-looking boy only in his boxers, he was taken to the middle of the stage as he bowed his head and the Pet Mistress stood beside him.
"Good evening everyone, I'm glad you came here tonight, I'll present you my finest goods, this boy here is...." and she blabbered a little about the boy.
A woman's voice was heard from the darkness as she bid on the boy and he was sold.
Fiona could see how dread started creeping in almost every human present on the stage as the number of pets decreased drastically. Everyone prayed that their turn never came but who were they kidding?
Fiona couldn't help but wonder why she was made to stand in the end. Though she wasn't the tallest yet her line was aligned in a way that her turn would come in the last.
Not a single human was able to go backstage because everyone was being sold. There were a few voices that were buying even two or three pets, chuckling and mumbling, they need more because their pets die too soon. This statement alone blanched the faces of the pets who were being bought by them.
Fiona could feel filthy gazes on her, not one but many. But she couldn't even see the audience. It was too dark.
She breathed in deeply when the girl beside her was escorted to the middle of the stage. From the far corner, she noticed the main door opened and someone stepped inside.
All of a sudden the temperature of the room dropped and then there were surprised gasps among the audience.
The pet Mistress' eyes lit up as she ushered the worker who took the girl away from the stage and the mistress approached Fiona.
Grabbing her shackles she yanked the girl to the middle of the stage. The binds dug into her flesh as she roughly yanked it out of the Mistress' grasp.
"My king," The mistress said as she kneeled followed by almost all the werewolves and pets present there, Fiona froze as she put the two and two together.
The Lycan King was here!
No.No.No.Dread engulfed her, spreading through her body like a vicious fire, taking over every muscle and cell in her body leaving her heart rattling in trepidation. Why the King? Of all the monsters in this world, why the Lycan King? Sweat broke on her forehead as the Mistress straightened up and grabbed Fiona's arm."My King, this pet is exactly what you've asked for," the Mistress said in her sweet tone."Pet!" The low grumble of the voice had her gulping and chin quivering. She could feel the authority in his voice."Kneel," the man who was hidden behind the dark spoke.Fiona inhaled sharply. So it seems today would be her end. Well, she will not regret dying knowing she gave them a hell of a time. But still, she never deserved this."No," She said with all the mustered-up confidence and the King's lips tugged at the corner."I'll get her," The King said and the Pet Mistress' eyes lit up as she clasped her hands together in joy.She motioned at the worker who came forward holdi
The King's words rendered her speechless and once again she was reminded of her true purpose in this world. A mere pet. He bought her as a toy for his sons. This explains why he didn't buy a submissive pet. Rather a pet like her; who won't submit to these monsters no matter what. So he expected her to annoy his sons and as a result one of them would end up killing her, hence the other would get the throne. What a freaking brilliant idea! She started feeling uneasy. Her eyes glided over the interior of the posh expensive car. Maybe this was the last time she'll be sitting in such a beautiful car. Or perhaps maybe this was her last day alive but she would never give up so easily.Of course, she wasn't sold to a werewolf but rather a freaking Lycan King. She has heard enough of the rumors in the last ten years and the scariest ones were always about the Lycans. They were the most powerful and ruthless beasts of them all. When the war first broke out, it was easier and still possible to
She breathed in deeply as she watched them stride to the King. Fiona didn't miss how the King straightened up.She wasn't supposed to look at them but she wanted to see the faces of her soon-to-be assassins."Father," one of them snickered coldly. His eyes were bloodshot and the way he swayed slightly looked as if he was drunk or perhaps he just came straight out of the bed."You called for us?" He asked again, looking bored and annoyed for being there. He has blond hair, blue eyes, and pale skin. And in no way she would ever consider him to be the Prince if not for him calling the king as a father.Noticing a piercing gaze on her, subconsciously her eyes fell on the man beside the blond guy.Her breath hitched when her gaze clashed with the swirling spheres of amber hues. The man looked a lot like the king.He was a few inches taller than the blond guy. A chill of gripping terror seized her heart as she maintained his fierce gaze. There was a sacred sinister aura in his eyes. She f
His dark eyes raked over her ominously. She was expecting him to beat her black and blue because she disrespected his brother. The beast of a man just peered at her with those icy cold orbs and without another word he turned around and left. And all of a sudden the thick air dissipated. Fiona didn't realize that she was holding her breath all this time as she took in large gulps of breath and wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth with the back of her hand. She shook her head lightly to clear her blurred vision. Her ear was still ringing because of that brutal slap. With much difficulty, she got to her feet and stumbled a little before maintaining her balance."Are you alright?" The King's voice had her head snapping in his direction. He brought her here to get her butchered by one of his sons and he has the audacity to ask her if she was alright. She didn't answer him as she dropped her eyes to the floor where the skull from the resin floor stared back at her.The huge doors o
"W..what?" Fiona stammered groggily as the sudden panic brought her completely out of her slumber. The slave girl gulped, her body tensed and she looked scared. It was obvious she is human."Prince Dexter has asked for your presence. You must hurry or he'll kill me for taking too long," She said, panicking.Fiona took in a shuddering breath. Hurrying to the cupboard she grabbed the clothes before she stepped into the restroom and washed up, changing her clothes she stepped out making a braid on her long tresses but she has no band to tie it up as she let it be."Let's go," the girl said as she dashed out of the room and Fiona was right behind her. Her heartbeat accelerated as she followed the girl through the long hallways. If she gets lost in this place. She was sure it would take her days to find her room back."What's your name?" The girl asked, still walking ahead of her."Fiona," She replied. The slave girl was a few inches taller than Fiona and had big brown eyes which were full
Fiona took in a shaky breath as her clasp on the knife tightened to such an extent that her knuckles and the skin under her nails turned white. She chewed on her bottom lip before glancing at Hailey who looked horrified. Benjamin was holding her in front of him while securing her arms painfully behind her back to keep her in place."Go ahead, don't make me wait long." Dexter mused shoving a spoon in his mouth as he focused on his breakfast. She couldn't move her eyes away from trembling Hailey. Tears were streaming down her cheeks and she looked terrified. The looks on the other staff were calm but their eyes held fear, which meant such a thing must be an everyday occurrence and why not, their Prince was an absolute psycho."P...please," Hailey whimpered and Fiona gulped the lump of emotions down her throat. This crazy man must be out of his mind if he thinks Fiona would kill one of her kind. If humans won't stick together then these vultures would eat them alive. She glanced at Dext
Fiona wiped her tears with her arm, sniffing. Her hand was hurting so badly and the pain was clamoring all through her arm.She glanced up at how her fingers were twisted and had turned blue. She didn't know for how long she was standing there on her toes. If she dropped her weight to the balls of her feet, her wrists got stretched and it feels like they'll be ripped away from her arms. Her legs were trembling for such a long time as she tried to stay strong and not lose consciousness. It was after what felt like hours, the door creaked open and she groggily opened her eyes to find Adrian staring at her with a tense expression. His eyes fell on her hand before he breathed in deeply."Guard," He barked as a guard dashed inside. "Untie that," He muttered pointing somewhere as he walked to Fiona. Just as the guard unbind the rope her body slacked and she fell forward but Adrian held her delicate frame. He gently pulled her hands down and the guard untied the rope. "It's your first day an
"What are you waiting for?" A hushed whisper close to her ear brought her out of her trance as she flinched away from Adrian who inclined his head towards the table.Gulping the nervousness down her throat she ambled forward and quietly sat two seats away from the King. It was odd how she felt like she was committing a crime sitting at the same table with the king. She stared at the warm delicious food on her plate which at least three people could eat. She snuck a glance at the King who was eating quietly and by the looks of it, the King has a huge appetite just like his son, Dexter. She didn't even want to think about that bastard. He broke her fingers. It was too painful. She was still contemplating whether to eat or not as millions of thoughts raked through her head. What if he wants to punish her for the stunt she tried to pull on Dexter yesterday? "Not hungry or the food is not to your taste?" The King asked and she forced her eyes to stay on the food.Swallowing down the nervou
8 years later. Fiona sat on the edge of the pool with her legs dipped into the cool water. The cool breeze of the night felt soothing on her skin. The dark gray clouds scattered on the sky like a warm bed thunderstruck. The sight was so terrific yet magnificently beautiful in its way. Fiona sighed, rubbing her arms. A head surfaced from the water followed by massive shoulders. Draco peered at her from below. Grabbing her feet he slid them on his shoulder so now his face was between her legs. His wet cold skin caused her to straighten up but her breath hitched when he bit her inner thigh before nibbling and licking on the same spot as she gently combed his wet hair back with her fingers. He slowly moved further near her intimacy as his wet cold lips gave open-mouthed kisses. Fiona tried not to moan as she chewed on her lower lip while watching him. He tucked her panties aside as that warm tongue came in contact with her vertical lips. She moaned lightly while spreading h
Fiona was dragged into the dungeons. She noticed that they had injected something in Finlay and the toddler was now unconscious. Her mind was in panic mode as gazillions of thoughts raced through her mind. Who was this person dragging her? He was too powerful to be a human? The person who was carrying Finn in his arms in front of her was a guard. Was there a mole in the mansion? To Fiona's shock, the guard pressed a brick, and a secret passage opened through the wall as she was dragged in it. How was it possible for someone to drag her like this in the mansion? How do they know about the secret passage? This means the person was from the mansion and knows about everything. She struggled hard and was able to bite that man's hand with all her might making him wince. He jerked his hand back. Fiona screamed for help at the top of her lungs but that person covered her mouth again. "If you don't want the kid to die, then better cooperate," He hissed in her ear, and just like that all
Blake stomped inside the empty guest room before closing the door behind her. To Ezra's surprise, she locked it. He stood there quietly waiting to hear her explanation. Last time he remembered pretty well how things ended between them and he made sure not to come in her way ever again or to follow her. Blake took in a few deep breaths before she turned to face him. Her legs were trembling in anxiety but she tried to maintain her composure. She shifted her weight from one foot to another while fidgeting with her fingers. Ezra decided to speak up first. "It is rude to drag someone from the middle of their conversation," Ezra said calmly. The she-wolf who approached him earlier was asking him out. There was a possibility that Blake might be jealous but then again, she has no feelings for him so she couldn't be jealous. She might be offended why their eyes met. She probably wants him to disappear into thin air. "Who was that girl?" She asked with eyes fixed on the floor and there w
Fiona was on cloud nine. She has been busy with the preparations for the birthday for the last two days. Gena, Kolton, and Ezra were taking shifts to look after Finlay whereas Adrian was busy helping her. Everything was set and she was getting ready. Fiona wore her dress as she tried to close the zipper but she couldn't reach it. She left it open and continued with her makeup. Gena will be here soon. She'll ask her to do it. Draco has taken her to the branded boutique and handed her the card. He waited for her patiently as she bought a dress for herself. She only bought one dress but Draco wasn't having it. He walked down the aisle and chose multiple dresses asking the staff to pack them and deliver them at the mansion. He even took her to the diamond store and bought several necklaces for her along with rings and earrings. Every time he asked the cashier to pack something, she would gape at him asking him not to buy, but he would just smile and wink at her. She warned him tha
"Where are we gwoing?" Finlay asked looking ahead as Draco held him in his arms. "We are going to meet someone," Draco said. Fiona wanted to come along but Draco had to assure her that Finn would be fine. She wasn't ready to stay back but she trusted him and left Finlay in his security. "Swomeone?" He asked as Draco nodded. He stepped into his study where Dexter was already present with his back to them. Draco closed the door behind them as Finlay's eyes were fixed on Dexter's back. Draco felt the toddler stiffening in his arms as he breathed a whisper, "mwonster," Draco heard it and it churns his heart knowing Finlay was calling his father a monster. Dexter slowly turned around facing the child in Draco's arms and something inside him twisted. There was fear dancing in those blue hues as Finlay stared at him. Draco was expecting the kid to cry or say something. Try to escape but Finn did nothing. He watched Dexter quietly. Except for the fear in his eyes, nothing ga
"What?" She was baffled. "He's changed-" Draco started but she cut him off. "Changed? Are you even hearing yourself? He's the same man who was ready to kill Finlay for Clarke, this is the same man who didn't even bat an eye when Clarke ordered her goons to cut Finlay's hand. Do you have any idea how terrified Finlay was?" Fiona said, losing her calm as her wild emerald stared at him in disbelief. How could he even ask her for such a thing? He cupped the sides of her face firmly as he moved down to look into her eyes. "Finlay is important to me as he's important to you. I accepted him before even knowing he was Dexter's son. Do you think I'll put that kid in danger when I know he's my family?" Draco said calmly but she shook her head. Draco held her firmly as he made her sit on the couch and crouched in front of her holding her hands firmly in his big warm ones. "I know it's hard but Dexter is his father," Draco said. "The father who was ready to kill him?" She mocked. "Finlay
She felt hot feverish kisses on her neck as he pulled her out of her slumber. Fiona blinked slowly as the faint hues of orange filled the room through the curtains. Her brows scrunched, feeling a hand on her bosom. Her eyes flew open wide and she looked down to notice that he was nibbling the skin of her neck while his hand slid into her shirt fondling her breast. She groaned when he bit her tender flesh and sucked on it. She pushed at his chest causing him to pull back. His ruffled black hair was the first thing she saw before he tilted his head up staring at her with those deep ambers. "Good morning," He beamed, shining like a star as her eyes scrunched. "Morning," She said grumpily. He sure was a morning person. Once done with the greeting he began kissing her jaw forcing her to pull back as she pushed his hand out of her shirt. "Stop," She said sternly, giving him a warning glare. She tried to sit up but groaned as her whole body ached. Draco sat up immediately as he wat
She could barely think straight. Draco pulled back as they both panted. He grabbed the zipper of her dress before pulling it down as she held her breath. They were close, chest to chest. Her hot breath mingled with his as she clutched his bicep tightly. The zipper reached down the small of her back. Draco pulled his hand up slowly dragging his cold fingers up her spine causing her to arch into him. He pulled back as their gaze clashed. The immense shyness was urging her to lower her gaze but she didn't. She wanted to see the hunger and passion in his eyes. Those amber eyes that only burn for her. Nothing in this world could ever make her feel so desired and lovable as much as those amber hues that set her soul on fire. He grabbed the hem of her dress before sliding it off her right shoulder, he did the same with her left shoulder, and within seconds the dress pooled around her feet. Draco took two steps back. His dark eyes glided over her delicate frame. The carnal lust in thos
"I'm leaving," Dexter said, pulling back as he rubbed a hand down his face to control his emotions. "I'll be going to the ... Kingdom," Dexter said, taking Draco by surprise. "You don't have to-""I want to, I don't want to stay here for a while, taking responsibility for... the Kingdom would be distracting enough and we need someone responsible for this task," Dexter said in a mature tone which was surprising. "Do you think you'll be alright?" Draco queried. "I'll be fine but before leaving I need your favor," Dexter said. "What is it?" Draco asked and with a deep breath Dexter asked him a favor. *"Here eat this, this one is delicious," Fiona said, offering a delicious cupcake to Finn. She has taken a bite of it as the toddler also took a bite. His eyes lit up as he clapped his hand making an excited face. "Dwilicious," He said joyously and she beamed at him. "More," He said and she removed his suit jacket, folding his sleeves up to his elbows like Draco. She also unbuttons t
