For the longest time Seff remained silent as he stared at the space in front of him with an almost inexplicable look. His eyes flashed from confusion to surprise to sadness to happiness and with each passing second that he delayed giving an answer I was getting tensed.

It was normal, of course, for a person to want to take their time considering a matter as grave as this. It was connected to his life, who would want to risk dying for love?
