CHAPTER 4~ A WARNING

As soon as the woman left the room, Marlie laid herself in the tub of water. Her hands were shaking as she used them to scrub her body, trying to get off what wasn’t even visible.

Every crevice, every corner…her nail dug even pass the outer layer of her skin, creating cuts that the water didn’t hesitate to burn, and when her hands reached between her legs, tears burned the rim of her eyes and her body slumped against the tub.

She hated this feeling, whatever it was…the feeling of being used and abused without her permission, it hurts…she felt as though she was now mentally weak even though she had once considered herself mentally strong.

Dropping her hand, she looked off to the bathroom walls. She was scared to even wash herself, he had scarred her; a deep wound that she didn’t think would ever heal. It wasn’t supposed to go as it did last night.

She had disrespected him, told him that he was repulsive, so he was supposed to kill her…however instead of giving her the easier way out, he had chosen to torture her…for this emotional strain was far worse than the physical pain she had continuously endured all her life.

And yet it was still not over…she heard what the lady said, and she wasn’t stupid enough to not be able to make sense of it. She wasn’t being moved to a ‘new room’, she was being moved to a new prison, one where she would be forcibly f*cked over and over again by that monster.

He had said it last night, spoken so confidently, and now Marlie clearly understood his words. They were equivalent to calling her his possession, he said them as though she was completely under his ownership, as if she was his personal chattel…

‘Today…I really didn’t come here to f*ck or breed anyone…but you’re special…I could’ve sensed it since the very moment I walked in. If one of them had ever touched you before I got the chance…they’d have been killed, and if I come back to this place and hear that you have been touched by someone other than me…even if it was against your will, you will die along with them.’

He was challenging her, showing her that she was just a slave, one that would now completely belong to him. She was special? Marlie chuckled to herself…she was special only because she was capable of being brutally used.

And he had used her that night, but Marlie wouldn’t give him the chance to do it again, she’d kill herself before that happened.

Her pearly blue eyes shifted towards the door when two knocks sounded from it. “You’ve been in there long enough, I believe it’s time to come out. I’m coming in.”

The golden knob twisted and as soon as the door creaked open, the woman from before stepped inside. “I brought a towel for you to wear while I continue the process of cleansing you. Your hair needs to be washed and styled and I need t~”

“What if…” Marlie gripped the tub as she sat up. “What if I don’t want to go?”

“It’s not a matter of choice sweetheart. Whatever he says goes which is why I’m forcing myself to do this. You’d better behave and do as told…I’m a human just like you and if something happens, even if it isn’t my fault, I will be killed for it…and my death will be in your hands if something like that happens.” She gestured towards Marlie. “Now get up so that I can finish my job.”

Marlie’s hands trembled as she stood from the tub, it was true…if a human’s job wasn’t successfully carried out, they’d be killed. There were no second chances, just claws to your neck as soon as you mess up.

Marlie wasn’t too keen on living, but her lack of will to survive shouldn’t be contributed towards the death of other humans who are trying hard to survive. “Alright, I’ll comply”

“Let’s begin with washing your hair.”

|-_-|  /-_-\  |-_-|

When her hair was through with washing, instead of a towel, Marlie was dressed in a robe in front of a big mirror...something she hadn’t seen in the six years she was locked away.

She got to see a version of herself that she hadn’t seen before. Her eyes were still a deep and captivating shade of blue, but her red lips had gotten thicker. Her face was bigger, more mature now and if she remembered correctly, then she looked exactly like her mom did the day she was dragged away from her home.

Her mother had cried a lot that day, her eyes were just as swollen as Marlie’s, her hair was messy, her pretty face was mercilessly bruised, and she was screaming.

But no matter how much she begged them to leave her daughter alone…they had still taken her.

Sighing, Marlie sat down in the chair that was placed in front of her, pushing the old and almost distorted memories back. If she thought about it too much, she’d only dig herself into a bigger pit of sadness. It didn’t matter if her parents had loved her, and it didn’t matter if they still did. Their love couldn’t save her back then, and it sure as hell won’t save her now. “What will you do next?”

“I’m going to comb your hair, it’s horribly tangled in knots…I washed it earlier, but damn, it’s still going to be rough to comb. I’ll have to straighten it out, I’ll cut it shorter too…it’ll fit you.”

“Okay.”

|-_-|  /-_-\  |-_-|

Marlie did not expect that simply combing hair could ever take this long. The lady had this electronic machine thingy that she’d put strands of hair in, heating them and when she was through with that, she had grabbed for some scissors ~something that Marlie desperately wanted to steal as a weapon~ and her hair was clipped at the ends until it was over her shoulders and then her eyebrows were plucked. It wasn’t a painful experience, but the wait was long enough to have Marlie becoming tired of sitting.

But now that it was done, she finally had the chance to stand up in the roomy bathroom, skeptically staring into the big mirror atop of the sink.

She looked like a different person. Her hair was cut way shorter than it was, it was now mere inches below her chin. “What…? I…”

“Do you not like it?”

“No, it’s pretty…thank you.”

“No need…I just did my job…The robe, take it off.”

Marlie undid the tie around her waist, then flicked the material over her shoulder, showcasing her nakedness. The lady nodded in what seemed to be approval before walking towards the door where a black bag was hung. She infiltrated it, taking out a panty far different and prettier than the ones she’d worn before. “Here, take this…put it on.”

Marlie did as told, her blue eyes then watching as she was approached with a black dress. “I’ll help you put it on.”

“Why…I…what about the clothes I use to wear?”

“You will not need them anymore as long as you remain favored by the lycan king. He sent you the dress, in fact there will be many more in your room…you will also be able to eat things you’ve never tasted before. You will be far more privileged than any other human who had walked this earth.”

“At the exchange of the only thing that I can treasure and call my own; my body. Living like that is not a privilege, it is a curse.”

“So you believe…but think about the other girls who are sitting in the prison you just walked out of…don’t you think they’d definitely hold onto this opportunity if they could get it?”

“N…” Marlie wanted to say no, but she couldn’t because she knew it was the truth. “B-Bu~”

“Put in your legs.”

Marlie did as told, straying away from an argument she knew she couldn’t win. The lady pulled the dress pass her waist, and Marlie stuffed her hands into the sleeves as soon as she was told to.

The lady zipped the zip at the back and then came in front to look at Marlie. “Fits perfectly, now put on these slippers and I along with two of these guards shall escort you to your new home. I do hope you’ll survive, it’s none of my business, but the lycan kings are heartless men, this one though; Zhander, he won’t hesitate to kill you, he has killed many of our kind for mistakes that could’ve been ignored. So be careful of what you do and say, I’m only telling you this because you’re a human like me, we could even unknowingly be family…heed to my warning.”

Fancy slippers were thrown at her feet and though they fit a little big, Marlie tucked her feet inside and followed the lady out. She wasn’t old, but she was older than Marlie, probably in her late 20s or her early 30s. That didn’t matter though, it was the fact that she cared enough to have given Marlie a warning.

But Marlie wouldn’t heed…she wouldn’t just give in…no matter what this new home had to offer. She had planned on killing herself, but now that she was sure she’d be seeing the lycan king again, she’d kill him instead.

Kill him before the baby that’d soon be in her stomach kill her!

Marlie was dragged outside by two guards, towards a car that sat in front of the building. She was placed inside, both guards taking a seat on either side of her. The lady from before sat in the front seat along with another man; the driver.“The forgotten castle you say?”“Yes…that one.”“Alright.”Marlie jumped when the car engine started, her eyes unfocused as she looked around at a world she had only seen glimpses of for 6 years. The sun was bright, hung up in the sky like a halo of death, there were trees almost everywhere and other cars drove by, some swiftly, some slow. The car she was in, moved backwards the slightest bit, twisting towards the road and then it took off.Marlie’s eyes were fixated on the blurred world that she could see through the windows, her hands gripping onto the seat for leverage. Is that all you know how to say now? Where has the fire in your mouth gone? One touch and you become cold?” His hand tugged at the fancy drawers she wore, and Marlie shakily grabbed it. “Stop it.” “Why? You still don’t want to be touched by a disgusting creature like me?” “Yes…t-that’s exactly it.” “Well, that’s too bad, you’re completely mine now…my personal slave and so I’d suggest you start behaving.” His voice became colder at the end, deeper, scarier and his eyes too, in fact his whole expression changed, there was nothing playful about it, even that sadistic smile was missing. “I can handle everything else, in fact your fiery personality intrigues me…but you trying to kill me is not imp

He pulled back, taking something else from the box, it was of the same pink color as the thing that was now planted inside of her, and relaxed fixedly against her clit. “Brace yourself…little angel.”Those were his last words before he pressed a button that had Marlie shivering with a loud cry. She didn’t know how, but whatever was inside of her was vibrating against her walls and against her clit. It felt weird and yet she…Marlie gripped the sheets, writhing against the soft material as pleasure tore through her. Her toes curled, her head flung back, and her moans were loud enough to surprise even her. “M-Make it stop…! Please…I…”From above her, she heard the man chuckle, his hand grabbing her face to secure her attention to himself as he leaned closer. “It feels good, doesn’t it? Why would you want it to stop? Or do you perhaps mean turn it up?”He pressed at the device in his hand again and Marlie’s eyes rolled to the back of her head. She wasn’t supposed to be moaning like a b*t

Marlie hobbled behind Zhander, her hands still in his as they entered a building that was just a tad bit smaller than the one she was in before. The doors were wide open and low music was buried beneath the chattering of the many people who were on the inside. They were all dressed elegantly, men wearing suits and ties and women wearing fancy dresses. They were drinking wine, eating food, enjoying their lives while humans had to live their whole life suffering. It was unfair, equality was something this world lacked, and it was only sad that humans lived on the inferior side of it.“Be good…”Those were Zhander’s last words before he walked her beyond the doors and into a place she was now scared to be. To dwell against the same people who’s been holding her kind captive for years was torturous, and the fact that they were celebrating it made this all even worst.“Zhander…! I see you’ve made it…everyone has been waiting for your arrival.” Somebody walked towards them; a man thick in b

Marlie’s steps took her up the stairs; slow and cautious. Her hands were sweating by her sides, her lips pursed in worry. Zhander would kill her if he found her now, he had specifically told her not to leave his side. So why in heaven’s name was she here?Sighing, she walked up the last step, seeing nothing but a balcony barred off by railings. The black jacket she had tailed had somehow vanished, had she just imagined it? Was she following someone that wasn’t even rea~? Marlie gasped when an arm slithered around her waist, pulling her to the balcony that reigned mightily above the land. Her back was pressed against the wall and dark obsidian eyes hovered over her, staring so deep into her blue ones. “Who are you?” His face was a replica of Zhander’s and yet his voice wasn’t. It wasn’t as deep, wasn’t as scary, it was soft…gentle, and perhaps that’s why Marlie felt the need to answer. “A-A slave.” “Not that…I mean your name, what is your name?” “It’s Marlie.” His eyes, why were th

This isn’t even the highest level, want to experience it?” The buttons clicked again and Marlie’s fingers scraped pitifully against the floor, her body growing stiff as she trembled. The vibrations were higher than they were before, it quickly aroused the heat in the pit of her stomach, creating flutters she couldn’t control. There were moans fighting to slip through her mouth, but Marlie would not let them out. She had embarrassed herself enough already, and then this…? Her fingers clenched, her back leaning against the walls as she looked up into his dark and unrelenting eyes. “Stop…make it stop.” “A human telling not just a werewolf but a lycan what to do? That sounds so ironic.” He stepped towards her, swiping his thumb acr

She might’ve lost consciousness, but she vividly remembered what happened; the embarrassment, and most of all, his disturbing words and the anger he had poured atop of her head…anger that she did not deserve. Her body pushed away from him, her eyes casting around the room for something, anything. He was vulnerable now, he could easily be killed and there would be n~ “Human…? So much for not going in when she was in there now, shaking like a leaf in Zhander’s arms. The bastard had shoved her in without a warning and when she was on the brink of drowning, he had come to her rescue. “You’re e-evil…I almost drowned.”“You weren’t drowning Marlie, you were just being overly dramatic.”“I wasn’t…” Marlie’s hands gripped his shoulders tighter, glancing down at the water that almost killed her. “I was going to die.”“As if I’d let that happen, stop exaggerating…the water is so shallow that we’re literally sitting in it.”Marlie puffed her cheeks, she didn’t have a comeback for that because it was the truth. They were walking and staring and talking. It must be surprising that he was here since he hadn’t visited since Rosa’s death, so it was normal for them to stare, for them to talk…but them doing that only reminded him of back then when they all chose his brother instead of choosing him…when they all turned their backs on him claiming he was incompetent and unable to rule… And for that…he hated these lands and the very people on it. “Don’t min

I had the maids pack us a suitcase of clothes in the trunk of the car, but last night it had been too late to pack them out. I’ll go instruct someone to get them so you can shower and get dressed.” He sat up, finally releasing her. “Stay here until I get back.”Marlie’s eyes floated back over to him, holding a glare that depicted her hate for him. “Like I have anywhere else to go…how will I go outside naked?”“You’re right…” Zhander smil

Marlie clenched her hands against the sheets as Zhander stripped himself of clothes. He’d never done it before…the other times they’d done this, Marlie was the only person naked. But now that Zhander’s chest was bare, she couldn’t help but acquaint her eyes. There was a wolf howling towards a broken moon drawn beautifully on his chest, and these four letters were written beneath it… R. O. S. A. It was that name again…the one that now lived in her head; Rosa… Marlie blinked away from it, ignoring the way her heart churned in what she could only call pain. She didn’t know why, but for some reason, the fact that the name was printed across his chest didn’t sit right with her…she didn’t like it. It contradicted the words he’d just said. He said she was made for him and him for her…if that was so…why was Rosa’s name on his chest? Marlie’s hands loosened the sheets to cover herself once again…. He undid her bra and pulled her dress down her legs before turning her back to face him. “Don’t let this be like the last time…if you end up regretting our mating again it’ll be painful.” His finger ran along the waistband of her panty and Marlie stared anywhere but at him. “I-I won’t…” “So you’re telling me that I won’t have to worry about the pain? I won’t have to worry about your glares…any harsh words or your tears?” “I’m not a baby…I won’t cry, not this time.” “And if you do…must I punish you?” “A-Are you challengin

Her core kept clenching and unclenching, and her clit kept convulsing. “This side of you gives me hope…” He forced his hand between her closed thighs, feeling for the part of her that was more desperate than any other. “That you will really be mine soon.” Marlie moaned when he roughly clutched onto her…though there was a dress, though there was a panty…she could still feel it all…the sparks and the undeniable pleasure. “Z-Zhander…!” “Hmm…?” H

She knew what those words meant, if she opened her mouth like last time, he’d kiss her again…and did she want that? Marlie shook her head, pursing her lips together…her fear wouldn’t make her do stupid things again. “No.” “As defiant as the very first day I met you.” He chuckled as his hand fell from her face, his head gently falling against her shoulder. “You did well…if you had answered when he called…if he had touched you…I’d have really lost it. There were a few people around who bowed to Zhander who walked in front, but apart from that, they were walking in an empty hall, nothing but bland, white walls. Her hair was lightly trimmed and straightened and after about an hour of ‘getting ready’, she was standing in front of Zhander who was well put together as well. He was wearing a suit, just like the night of the celebration, but his hair was caught way neater. The back was loose, floating in curls down by his shoulders, but the top was garnered and then neatly wrapped. It was nice, or it rather made him look nice. Like a gentleman he looked, especially with that smile on his lips. “Just as I expected…you’re an angelic being Marlie.” He got it wrong…he was the angel
