"No," I refused.

"Please, Miss Aurelia," Olivia, the new maid assigned to me, begged with tears in her eyes. "Don't put me in trouble. Alpha Adrian said to not come without you."

I shook my head and folded my arms, "I'm not going." My mind was made up. I've barely had anything to eat in days, I was weak and my knees could hardly hold me up. I threw up every morning and late at night- no one knew this part- still, Adrian felt it was time to play chess with him?

I was convinced he was suffering from temporary amnesia now.

"He'll come here himself and I don't think you'll like that," she said again.

"Olivia, it doesn’t matter what I do. I'm going to get punished either way. I'm punished for shutting up. Might as well be stubborn and have my way for once."

"What's taking so long?" I gripped my arm at Adrian's voice. Olivia stepped aside as she was beside the open door. She kept her hands behind her and lowered her head, afraid to meet his ga
