Jade’s pov

“You must sneak out of here,” Elina whined.

Hearing a loud commotion I narrowed my eyes and watched the open doorway as my father peeked inside.

Surprised to see him after being told he was dead, he looked at me with befuddlement while rubbing his fist.

“Are you in on this with your mother,” he asked me while wiping his sweaty brow.

“What?! Hell NO,” I snapped then asked if she signed my wedding certificate.

Shrugging he growled, “I don't know what that bitch signed, only that she and Barron are lovers and tried to end me. It's a good thing that I have a hard noggin."

“I'm not your child anymore, remember you disowned me,” I stammered, giving him a stern look and surprising myself by being so brazen.

Shaking his head he looked nervously back out the door before turning back and giving me a frown.

“We can argue about this later, Jade. Let's go before that dickhead wakes up and shoots us,” he asserted and looked down at my binds.
