Daphne took the news well, but can they figure out where Ana is? Please vote for this story and follow me! Thank you for the support!
-Anastasia- I was sitting halfway out of my cousin’s truck, trying to avoid the warm sun and just reading a book as I sometimes glanced at all the wolves surrounding the lake. I wasn’t sure what had made me decide to come, though. I had told my cousin I couldn’t imagine anything worse than going to the lake with all his friends and friends of his friends. There were so many wolves around the lake, having fun, drinking, swimming and… sneaking off together. Some didn’t even sneak off. They almost did it right there on the side of the lake, making me roll my eyes a little. Yet heated memories of a certain lycan appeared in my head. I quickly shook it, trying very hard not to think about him. He seemed to invade my head more and more, even though I had not seen him since the party. I woke up every morning now drenched in sweat and with a sharp pulsing feeling between my legs I couldn’t ignore. The king had fucked with my body. There was no other way to describe it. He had turned on some h
-Roman- There was a soft knock on my bedroom door and I turned around. I had left it open, since I was leaving the bedroom soon anyway to go to the party I had been invited to by a very powerful werewolf family who had just welcomed a new member into the world. A future alpha, so of course, I had to attend such an important event. I was on edge, though. I had not been able to track down my mate this entire week that I had been without her. I had not been able to find one thing about her, but I also just had a name to go after. Anastasia… Beautiful name, though. I could only agree with my wolf, but it didn’t bring me closer to where she was. It only left me with more questions. She had luna power in her. I could feel it when I met her. But she didn’t seem to be a very well-known luna or one who attended many events. No one seemed to really know much about her, or maybe I had been looking in the wrong places. Daphne had tried reaching out to some of her contacts, but she had not heard
-Anastasia- I ran my hand down the dark red dress I was wearing. I had my dark hair up and a little makeup on. I really didn’t want to go out tonight, but after the last party I attended, my aunt really wanted me to come out tonight. She couldn’t really accept a no. She feared it meant I was going backwards instead of forwards. Maybe the king will also be there tonight! “Come on… it’s a werewolf party, not a lycan party. Why would he be there?” I asked her. Why not? It’s a powerful family. “No, lycans like to stick to their own parties. They don’t like to mingle with the likes of us,” I told her. My wolf sighed and laid down, feeling a little defeated. She really wanted to find our family’s killers, and I did, too. The king might just be the key. But this party was for werewolves. I knew the lycan king wouldn’t bother. No lycan would. “Besides, do we want to see him parade his new queen around?” I asked. What does it matter? We aren’t trying to take the place as the new queen.
-Roman- I walked up the stairs leading to the front door and walked inside. The door stood wide open, letting people enter right away. It was a private party, after all, and there was security in the place. They quickly offered me some champagne and took a glass as I joined the crowd in the enormous backyard, quickly finding the happy couple and congratulating them. They were happy I had decided to join tonight. Though I was surprised to find Shane there, too. I knew he was a social butterfly. I just didn’t know he would come tonight. “Shane!” I quickly went to him after excusing myself to the happy couple, and Shane turned seeing me, smiling. “Well, look who it is?” he chuckled, and we shook hands. He then looked around me as if he was looking for something. “What?” I asked. “Where is the pretty new queen?” he asked. I downed my glass, dragging time out, and my cousin looked at me, confused. “What?” “She… isn’t coming,” I told him. “Oh, did you already have a fight? That wa
-Anastasia- The Lycan King and I were staring right at each other. Neither of us moved or anything, but he was smiling, and I could see how happy he was to see me. Why was he happy, though? Did he not already have a queen? I had even run from him. I thought he might be angry, but maybe he didn’t care. Maybe he had finally opened his eyes and seen we were not a match. We did not fit together and now he was going to reject me tonight. I don’t see his queen, though. She doesn’t need to be at his side all the time, I told my wolf. My wolf knew I was correct, but she stayed guarded, as the king finally move, creeping closer, sliding his glass over the table, as he stepped closer to me. He was now only inches from me, casually leaning against the surface of the bar counter as he smiled at me. He surprised me as he reached out and grabbed a small lock of my hair, playing with it before letting it fall. “I have been looking for you, little mate,” he said. He had? He has? I felt myself
-Roman- I had quickly made my move before the little wolf could escape. I had slid closer to her, and I had quickly realized I wasn’t the only one who had been going crazy the week we had been apart. Ana’s scent gave her away. I could smell her getting turned on just from me being near her. The power of being mates. We were always going to want each other no matter what, and I didn’t even have to do anything to make her hot. Like she didn’t need to do anything but just look at me. I couldn’t help it and neither could she. Not that I wanted to fight it even if I could. I loved just looking at her. She was like a breath of fresh air every time I did. I had stupidly thought I could actually fight having a mate or even wanting one. I thought I could just choose. The Goddess really had to be laughing at me, because just looking at my mate in front of me and I knew I would fucking die for her. I would do anything to be with her. She was amazing and yet she was fighting it all. Her feelings.
-Anastasia- The obvious threat in the king’s voice surprised me. I had not expected him to say that or to even focus so much on my scars. I did grow a little nervous whenever he looked at them or touched them. I didn’t want him to see this ugly part of me. I told myself I shouldn’t care. I never cared when others looked, and they definitely didn’t want to touch, but it was just different with the king. It was because we were mates. It made me care. It made me wonder if he really liked what he saw or if he hated it. I knew I shouldn’t care, but the bond made that impossible. He seemed angry though, that the scars might have been made with the intention of hurting me, and in some way, it had. I wasn’t supposed to be alive though as I burned up in my parents’ house. I was supposed to be dead like the rest and torn apart. He might not be so ready to kill the ones who did it once we tell him it was lycans. My wolf was right. Lycans looked after each other like werewolves did. Maybe he di
-Roman- I was so shocked by what my little mate told me. I had not at all expected that, and I had no words to speak afterwards. Ana was shaking though as she spoke the words, and I heard the hatred in her voice. The one she had probably carried all her life. She told me she had been ten when she got burned, and all she had said was it was a house fire. Now she told me that house fire was intentionally. She told me lycans had come and killed her family and they had set her house on fire, almost killing her too. I couldn’t barely understand her words. Why had I never heard of this? Why hadn’t I been told of lycans going around killing innocent wolves? Or was her family not so innocent? I only seemed to have more questions, but my mate took off before I could ask her any and I was too stunned to follow her. Some things made sense though, like why she hated lycans. If she had truly witnessed her family get killed or at least watched the massacre afterwards, it really was not so surprisin

-Daphne- Two years later. “Jackson?” I walked into my mate’s office. Often we would sit there together, but I had woken up later today. He lifted his head and smiled at me as he saw me enter. “Hey,” he said, his smile growing the closer I came to him. I walked around the desk and smiled playfully. He tried to reach for me to pull me closer, but I moved away and he looked puzzled. “Can’t I touch you now?” he chuckled. “Not yet.” “Oh, are we playing?” “Yup, my own little special game.” “Is that the game where you tease the hell out of me with your mouth and tongue?” he asked. “No.” “Where you strip and make me go crazy?” “No.” “I am getting confused now,” he said, making me chuckle. “What kind of game are we playing?” “A guessing game.” “Okay,” he said. “Is there a prize for me to win?” He smiled mischievously, and I nodded. “I am all in then.” “Tell me the first thing that comes to mind when I say a word,” I told him. “Okay.” “House.” “A home,” he said. “Love.” “
-Jackson- Daphne had her fears, but after I recovered and her parents received a proper sentence locking them away for years, Daphne stepped up to the role of luna. I had never seen her flourish more. It was like this hidden side of her had been slumbering, waiting to come out and show what she could truly do. We gave her members a choice, but almost everyone wanted to rather be merged than be on their own. She and those who wanted moved to our territory, but she still owned the former land and house her parents had, and told anyone who wanted to stay could, but they would still be under both our controls. It was going great between us, and I watched from afar as my mate was coming back from a late run. We were both so busy we barely had time to truly enjoy being together. My dad was stepping down, and I was becoming alpha more and more until I would receive all the control from him. Daphne smiled as she saw me coming up onto the porch and I pulled her closer and kissed her. “Hey,” I
-Daphne- I was fuming. I couldn’t believe what my family had wanted to do. This was so much further than I realized they could ever take it, and I had demanded my mother was arrested too. Roman had no problems with it. I couldn’t believe they thought they could get away with this, but sometimes greed made people reckless and it made them think they were invincible. They weren’t, though, and I would never speak to them again. Jackson had to undergo a minor surgery, but the doctor assured me he would recover fast, and it wasn’t long before he woke up, all of us there. His eyes found me first, though, and he smiled at me so sweetly. “Hey,” he whispered. “How are you feeling?” “Sleepy.” “Yeah, the drugs are wearing off slowly.” “Mmm, wonderful,” he whispered. Jackson’s parents moved closer, and I let them have a moment with him as I waved Roman with me out into the hallway. He followed me and we stopped a little further away. “I can’t believe they did this,” I said. “How do you wa
-Jackson- I was on the ground, bleeding and completely beaten up. I had tried nothing like it before. I had fought before. I had had my ass kicked, and I had been close to death, but this just seemed personal, and so the pain was different. I was unsure how many had attacked me, but the smell of lycan filled the room, so I knew it was no small wolves who had come after me. I had been able to take down one of them and he laid on the ground not far from me, but the others were standing above me, and I was unsure why they had stopped kicking me. Soon the door opened, and I saw nice shoes coming my way. I was able to keep my eyes open enough to slowly let them wander up the body, and seeing Daphne’s father in front of me. “You have made a lot of problems for me,” he accused. I tried speaking, but I just coughed up blood. “I need to have you removed so I can take home my daughter.” Hadn’t he tried ruining her with those rumors? Why kill me now? “She… is… mine,” I croaked out. “Not fo
-Jackson- Daphne was scared to begin with as we began the dance, but when I asked her what it matter what other people thought, she seemed to realize something and began enjoying our night. I led her around through two dances before we finally joined the party and began to mingle. Not a lot wanted to talk to us. They either thought Daphne was some kind of whore, giving herself to a wolf, or maybe her family had made people believe she had given herself away to many. Or that I was a lunatic who had kidnapped her in the night and made her fall in love with me. That she was suffering from some kind of Stockholm Syndrome, but the people we spoke to were quickly convinced otherwise. They saw the love in our eyes. They noticed how affectionate we were with each other, and it changed their view of things. I knew some people we could never convince, but they didn’t want to be convinced. They want to believe the drama, because it was what excited them, but we wouldn’t care. Daphne and I were h
-Daphne- Jackson came up behind me as I stood in the closet, all dressed up. He kissed my neck and made me feel so calm and secure pressed to his powerful body. I moaned a little as he kissed the mark on my shoulder. My dress had no sleeves or straps and my hair was up, so everyone could see I was taken. I knew it pleased my mate a lot. It was a way to tell everyone to fuck off if they tried anything. I squeezed his hands on my stomach before I turned around and he rested his on my hips. “You ready?” “Not really,” I admitted. “Why not?” “I am so nervous. I have never stood up to them before.” He smiled a little and kissed me. “You’re not alone.” I smiled back and finally noticed how sexy my mate looked in a suit. I ran my hands down his arms and back up, and I knew he saw the shift in me. “Like what you see?” “Very much,” I confessed. “You look amazing too,” he complimented me. I smiled even bigger, feeling how warm my cheeks grew. “I love you,” I told him again. Over the
-Jackson- Later in the evening, as rain began to pour, and we had eaten dinner, my family gathered in one of the living rooms. Just my parents, me and Daphne, and Ana and Roman. We were all sipping drinks, munching on snacks, and talking. I really enjoyed being there with them. I loved them all so much, and when I turned to look at my mate, I could feel it in my heart too. I was falling for Daphne, and I couldn’t wait until we could start our life together, with no one trying to interrupt our happiness. “So, when are you heading home?” I asked Ana. “Oh, want to get rid of me that fast, huh?” We all chuckled. “Just asking.” “No, you are trying to kick me out,” she teased. I shook my head, and she finally turned serious. “No, we are going home tomorrow, and then will begin setting everything up for the party.” “It will be the party from hell,” Daphne said. “No, it will be fine,” Roman assured her. “Is there anything special we should be prepared for?” my mother asked. “Just t
-Daphne- Roman and I were walking beside each other outside. Jackson and Ana decided to spend some time together after Roman asked if he could have a moment with me. I was glad he asked, because I had missed my friend and I needed his guidance. It wasn’t just Jackson I had been hiding from. It was Roman and Ana too. After the dinner with Shane, I had simply gone back to my old life and acted like I could be the same person again. The one who could be the perfect lycan luna, and get mated to a complete stranger. The one who pleased her parents, no questions asked. I wasn’t that person, though. I had never wanted to be that person. On the inside I was so much different, but I didn’t know how to escape them. “So, how is it going?” Roman asked. “It’s… good,” I said, searching for the right word, but not even good could describe how wonderful I felt, and when Roman saw the smile on my lips, he began smiling too. “You look better.” “Better?” “Taller,” he said. “Yeah, Jackson brings so
